The Toyota Prius and Prius Prime were redesigned for the 2023 model year. Beginning with 2025 models, the Prius Prime became known as the Prius Plug-in Hybrid. Side 2.0 ratings are assigned by the Institute based on a test of a 2023 Prius conducted by Toyota.
