Hot to charge a plug in hybrid Mitsubishi Outlander!
Hi everybody, driving with Dane here coming to you with a real quick video about how to charge a Mitsubishi Outlander plug-in hybrid. Um I do kind of like that they have this big badge on the side. Makes it easy to tell. So first things first, just like all other plug-in hybrids, um you’re going to want to first either have a a wall box or level two charging station or um your level one plugin already plugged into the wall. You always want to plug into the wall before you plug in the car. This takes a J1772 plugin. Basically, this is still the standard for anything that isn’t a Tesla or a DC fast charger. DC fast chargers are, of course, those super big, thick cables that have the extra attachment under this. Uh, it’s on the passenger side. Push to open the door. And then you’ll notice this looks like it’s something, but it’s really just a light indicator. You’re going to push this little button here to open the flap to expose the charger. Then you’re going to take your charger here. Maybe I can actually aim it. Plug it in just like so. You’ll see the light turns green and then it’ll start blinking and you’ll hear a little beep. And then uh if you look over here, obviously if you have a charge schedule set like in your Mitsubishi app or something like that, it’ll be blue uh until it’s ready to go. Blinking green is charging and red is no power, some sort of fault. And then if you come around driver’s side, open the door, you’ll see you have a little charge indicator here. Now, this says 7 hours, and that’s kind of what it said the first time I did this. I don’t believe that’s actually accurate. But I believe these are generally uh 2 to four hours on uh a level two plugin like we’re using here. It’s what most plugins are. Um so either way, pretty easy.
