Why the 2026 BYD Sealion 5 will have to be even more affordable!
This BYD is going to have to be real cheap. Meet the BYD Cine 5. It’s a midsize plug-in hybrid which will sit below the already popular Cine 6 as a cost-leading family SUV for the brand. BYD is plotting a sub4K price point for this car and it will need to be that sharp to take on cars like the Cherry Tig 7 which at $3990 Driveway is the most affordable plugin in this segment. As you can see, it’s very similar to the Cine 6, only with different styling and a less plush interior. Expect a similar grade walk, too, but we’d be surprised to see an all-wheel drive variant for this price sensitive model. What do you think?
