Does This Rotary-Hybrid Mazda ACTUALLY Run on Mico Algae?
This is Mazda’s newest coupe concept. Even though technically it’s a four-door, the so-called Vision X coupe features a plug-in hybrid system with a two-rotor rotary engine that can run on carbon neutral fuel made from micro algae. It makes 53 horsepower and can travel up to 99 mi on electricity alone, which expands to nearly 500 m when combined with a combustion engine. The coup’s design is an evolution of the brand’s coder design language with a sleek front end, a stylized rear window, and taillights embedded within the bodywork. Like many Mazda concepts before it, the company says it has no plans to put the Vision X into production as is.
