2025 Chery Tiggo REV First Impressions | AutoDeal Walkaround

Have you ever thought to yourself that I want a plug-in hybrid crossover, but I want one with seven seats? Well, look no further, ladies and gentlemen. This is the allnew TGO REV or range extending vehicle. And the price will surprise you because if you download the auto deal app available on iOS and Android, it will tell you that this vehicle right here comes in at 1,648,000 Philippine pesos. Folks, that’s only about 100,000 Philippine pesos more expensive than a 5seater Sea Lion 6. Shocking. [Music] First, what’s under the hood? Okay, so you’ve got a 1.5 L turbocharged gasoline engine, which is by the four-cylinder, by the way. And it produces 201 horses and 310 new m of torque when it’s paired with the hybrid motor. And then power in that hybrid motor is an 18.66 kWh battery. Now, the claimed range of this claimed is 1,400 kilometers, which is really crazy. I did some testing of this drive of this car to this drive here in Batan today. So, we will tell you at the end of this program just exactly how far we were able to get in this vehicle and what the consumption was. And now the exterior. We’ll start with the front clip, which is a bit strange because there is no air vents here up front. They’re located down below. This, mind you, is a plug-in hybrid. It’s not a full electric vehicle, and yet it kind of resembles a full electric vehicle. The large diamond accent grill has sleek LED headlamps and even sleeker DRLs that run vertical. Chrome accents surround the window sills, plus a hint more just below the doors. There are hidden door handles down the side, and the side mirrors are equipped with repeaters and cameras, which is part of the 540°ree view. You’ve got 18s wrapped in 55 series tires with a decent amount of ground clearance. The rear has clean lines which includes a light that spans the entire width. When you open the rear, we don’t have exact specifications yet, but all of that can fit. Make with that what you will. You do the math. That’s a lot of stuff. This, by the way, is sitting on top of the third row, which we won’t get into now, but if you subscribe to our channel, we’ll definitely do that when we do a proper behind the wheel of the REV. Now, the beauty about this is that regardless of how much space you have in the third row. This is what I like about this car, too, because when you fold the second row, as I’ll show you right now, Jack, come in closer. Look at it. It’s flat. Well, it’s relatively flat. So, that means you can load a lot of Bikb Bayan boxes. The second row or the seating for the second and the third row is actually pretty good because while this car is a little shorter than the Fortuner, it’s actually a little bit wider than that. So, obviously that will translate to shoulder room. So, that’s my normal driving position. Leg room is actually pretty darn good. Look at that. Head room is very, very good. Even though you have a share of the panoramic roof. Uh I can’t open it because I have to be sitting in the driver position. But yeah, even with the panoramic roof, the headroom is very good. If you have a third passenger, not a problem also because look, the center tunneler center tunnel rather is very very low. So a third passenger wouldn’t be an issue. Toys back here include two air vents found here in the center. Underneath that you have charging points. That’s a type A and a type C. Small little cubby there. And of course, a center armrest with two cup holders. This car is so new that it just came out of the pier last week. And this is just Jack. I’m going to be here a while. Why? Cuz it’s Listen. Can we get get a move on, please? It’s really hot. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. It’s hot. Up front. Up front. Up front. Up front. Okay. So up front, we’re going to start with what the driver has. I have a full color digital display as my infotainment or rather sorry, my instrument cluster. I also have a heads-up display. Very very good. The center is a huge huge screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. So it’s a car for me and for Jack. It also has a wireless charging pad, which is a 50 watt charging pad, which I like. And it also has vents to keep your phone cool so that it doesn’t overheat when you’re charging it. You have cubby holes found underneath type A and type C charging points there. Uh buttons on your steering wheel obviously because it has a whole suite of advanced driver assist systems. Um it also has ambient lighting inside the car. But even if we were to close this, I don’t think we’d be able to see it because it’s just that bright outside of the day. It’s What time is it? It’s like one something. Ooh. How hot is it out there, Jack? Very. Okay. Should I speed it up or should I slow down? Don’t Don’t just go. Don’t ask me questions. Go. Oh, you knocked over the camera. I guess the the last remaining question is what is the fuel consumption of this car? We don’t have it right now because we haven’t finished the drive. We’ll do so when we get to Sububi, which we’re going to do what? When I get to Subic now. And just like that, we’re in Sububi. So the results are in. We traveled a total distance of 232.2 km. That’s from Metro Manila. We left from Cherry Commonwealth. Uh hit Batan for lunch and then continued all the way here to Subi Aaya. So that’s the total um distance that we traveled. We went to the gasoline station to load up. After loading up, we figured that we traveled a total of 87 kilometers per liter. Now, amazing as that is, I must give you also the background. Number one, this is a PHEV. Number two, we were stuck in a little bit of Metro Manila traffic, just a little bit getting out of the city. Number three, that’s m mostly highway. So, we took Nlex and Seex and it was just Jack and I inside the car. Regardless though, I got to admit 87 km per liter is amazing. That is of course that is with a full charge. If you calculate it, uh if you charge it at home at 11 pesos per kilowatt hour, that 18 kWh battery will run you roughly about 200, a little bit more than 200 pesos. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, essentially, we traveled, and I know this, we traveled from Metro Manila all the way up to the sign board of Florida Blanca, however far that is. And that basically took us the entire battery charge. That’s when the car shifted into hybrid electric vehicle instead of just full EV. So, it was full EV for Metro Manila all the way out there. That’s still pretty darn impressive, don’t you think? So, like a total of maybe like 250 pesos to get here. 250 300 but but 300 cuz our gas was 145 145 and then 200 so about 350 pesos 350 pesos to get subc folks um this was a very brief video but we will most definitely get this TGO rev for a proper behind the wheel review and we’ll let you know our feelings about anything and everything inside this car for a more in-depth review. So, please subscribe to our channel so you don’t miss out. And if you want to learn more about this car, as I already mentioned earlier, download the Auto Deal app uh available on iOS and Android. We can get the information to you at your fingertips and it will help connect you to dealers nationwide to help you get yourself inside this car so you can test it yourself. Thanks for watching everyone. Stay safe, take care, and we will definitely see you soon. Jack, time to go to the gym. Oh yeah, it’s gym time. It’s so hot. Do we have to go? We air. Okay, let’s go. Hey, [Music] hey, hey.
