There’s another plug-in hybrid ute available in Australia, along with a third on the horizon. The BYD Shark 6 no longer has a monopoly of its own in the ute segment with PHEV power, as now it’s been joined by the GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV.

These two are soon going to be joined by the Ford Ranger PHEV in the Australian market, but we’ve put these two utes back-to-back with towing, off-road and on-road testing to see which is the best
