DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – Minnesota Power is giving customers an opportunity to save money by offering rebates on energy efficient equipment.

The company had nearly a dozen bikes on display at the Arrowhead Home and Builder’s show at the DECC. Some of those items include lawnmowers, electric vehicles and E-bikes.

Minnesota Power is offering a $200 rebate for select electric bikes.

Crystal Pelkey says the growing number of bicyclists in the Northland is a big reason why they created this program.

“We’re particularly excited to announce our E-bike rebate because E-bikes are becoming more popular in our area,” Pelkey said. “We’ve partnered with three local businesses we have bikes on display here at the home and builder show.”

Pelkey says Minnesota Power has reached its energy savings goal in each of the last 14 years because of programs like these.
