All New 2026 Mercedes Maybach Electric SUV Has Arrived!!!

Whenever you press it, you don’t have to actually move it. It moves it for you. First things first, tap the brake. See you. Closes the the door. All right, let’s see. Whoa. Holy. Oh my freaking All right. What is up, guys? Jared Campezy with the beautiful Christina K. Welcome back to the channel and welcome back to Sun Motors Mercedes. Today we’re going to be taking a look at the brand new 2026 Mercedes EQS Maybach SUV. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the video. All right, so the first thing we’re going to do is take a look at the styling of this bad boy. First off, these start at $180,000. And with options, you can get them all the way up over $230,000. Electric in particular is 200 over 200,000. and I think like 203 or 205,000. Um, and as Christina mentioned, 5,000. This is an allect electric vehicle. It will be the first all-electric vehicle that we will ever review. Um, so if you don’t know what Maybach is, it’s basically an even more luxurious part of the Mercedes brand. There’s only three vehicles right now that have gotten the Maybach treatment. this uh EQS SUV, um the allnew Mercedes SL, and then also the Mercedes S-Class. So, those three uh cars do have Maybach variants, and they are some of the most luxurious cars on the road, and they have insane features, and we’re going to go over some of those today and then take it out for a drive. So, first off, let’s start off at the front of the car here. Um, you’ve got the grill in the front, which is obviously this is different because this is a Mercedes, this is an electric version, but they still do have this big grill in the front, which you normally see that when you see the slots that go up and down, normally that’s for AMG models, but on this one, they chose to add that even though it is just a regular model. It’s not an AMG model, although this one does have 650 horsepower because the electric motors. Um, you can see some interesting things here like all the little Maybach logos. I’m going to say Maybach and Maybach interchangeably. Um, you’ve got the digital headlights up top. Um, the Mercedes emblem, which you can move around, which is pretty cool, so you don’t automatically break it off. Um, it says Maybach here on the front. And then you’ve got some other cool looking features. Come around to the side here. We’ve got the uh wheels. There’s all kinds of crazy wheels. There’s actually a black wheel option on the website that has a bunch of Maybach logos on there, which looks really, really cool. I think these are 22 21 in. And it looks like they might be the summer tires on there, but you can get all seasons as well. Fun fact, the front doesn’t open up. There’s no storage in there, and there’s obviously not an engine in there because it’s an electric car. So, if you want to fill up your um windshield fluid, you actually do it right here. Wait, this doesn’t come up at all. That’s correct. Huh. Yeah, it looks like it would. It looks like it would, but it does not. So, this is finished in Alpine Gray, which is absolutely incredible. It’s a manufacturer uh color option and I think it looks great on this model. If you come around the side, you have the little Maybach logo on your footstep there. Um it’s actually pretty crazy. I’ll show you guys. Let’s see. Um if we open this, they actually will pause at any interval that you set them to, which is pretty crazy. Like normal doors have like three different spots that they’ll stop at. This one will stop at any any part and if you just touch the door handle, it’ll close for you. Oh my goodness. It’s pretty crazy, right? Um and then let’s come around to the back here. And overall, I would say the styling of this actually looks pretty good. Um it kind of looks like a cross between an SUV and like a wagon. Um it’s a little bit taller of a wagon. You saw there when she pressed that Mercedes emblem. Um it brings this up. And fun, this is another funny quirk. That Maybach label is upside down when the when the trunk is down so that when you pulled it up, it’s actually right side up. They’d like to show you your Maybach. So, extra pillows for the rear passengers. This one does have the executive package, and I’ll show you what that means in a second. You can actually option a rear refrigerator, which would be that part right there. Um, this even has Burmeister speakers back here. And I mean, it’s just everything in here is just absolutely incredible. It’s so well done. I actually really do like the rear end of this car. Uh the lights inside, but I’ll show you some of the light action whenever we uh get the before we head out for a drive. So, if Christina grabs that and opens it up, I’ll show you a little bit of the interior. And what’s actually really cool about this interior is it is crystal white exclusive Napa leather. Um, and this is actually the same white uh crystal white that I’m going to have in my Mercedes AMG GT63 that I have on order. So, I’m going to do the Hyperblue Magno on the exterior with the crystal white on the interior. Team, check this out. This button right here, because it is the executive two seat pack option, if you press this button right here, watch what happens to the front seat in front of you. Well, sorry, passenger in the front. You really can’t. You do not get You can’t do this if you have a passenger in the front. But basically, it moves that seat completely out of the way. And then what it allows you to do Oh, it’s doing it for me. Well, then move the seat. Look at this. Room for activities back here. And it allows you to completely lay down. Oh my goodness. If you’d like to lay down there, it even brings up your little footrest right here. Oh my goodness. Isn’t this ridiculous? So, you cannot have a front passenger cuz look at that. No, that’s what I was saying. If you lay the seat down, then you can’t have a front pass passenger. Is that a step? It’s a separate foot if your feet go all the way. Like if I was here, I could lay my feet on that, too. Goodness gracious. So, now she’s completely And I have a screen to watch TV on. She does have a screen back here. I don’t know if it’s for TV cup holders. Look at that. Whenever you press it, you don’t have to actually move it. It moves it for you. So, this car does a lot for you. Heated, cooled. You can choose whatever you want. I don’t have the car on or else you would see it. Actually, let’s let’s put the car on real quick. One second. Oh my gosh. Wait. What? Wait. Oh yeah. What the heck? Yeah. So the executive seats come with you can put that all the way out and it comes all the way over too. So you can close it. That is ridiculous. So you can have your food or your laptop and you can be working while you’re getting driven around. This is very very luxurious. I said you can have a fridge next to you. You can option a wine. I would never want to drive. This is dry. This so that I could be back here. Well, it does partially but you normally have a driver. And then how do you play back? I think all you have to do is just pull this. Okay. See you. Okay. So, what she just did there is press that button again, which will Yeah. Which will close uh her seat back to normal position, and then it’ll bring even the front seat back to where it is. I’m going to go ahead and go around and turn on the car so you guys can see a little bit of the ambient lighting because it’s absolutely ridiculous. So, again, the it’ll hold the door any position. Look at these seats, guys. The exclusive Napa Crystal White interior with the pillows that has Maybach logos on them. Absolutely incredible. If we slide on in here, guys, even the pedals have Maybach logos on them. And special um watch. If I press the gas or the the brake pedal, watch my door. It closes your door for you. Unbelievable. Start stop button is right here. Oh, another funny quirk. This right here is a finger reader. So, if you have different profiles, all you have to do is put your finger on that and it’ll load your specific profile. Press that button. Brings my seat up. Go ahead and skip this. And it does have the all new hypers screen, which goes all the way across the car over to her side. If she presses the skip button over there, she will have the exact same screen options. So your passenger doesn’t have to reach over like this to touch your stuff. She can actually do it all the way over there from her side. Same vents that are in my GT 63. Absolutely beautiful. They look like airplane uh style. You just move them around. They do have ambient lighting in there as well. The car is ready to drive. Uh but I have to talk about this steering wheel because it’s absolutely incredible. It’s half the crystal white and the other half is the u I think it’s like piano wood grain and then you have black on the inside with the leather finish. Absolutely stunning. Uh Burmeister surround sound 3D. I believe you can even have really cool looking speakers back there right next to your head when you’re in the back. You’ve got privacy shades. You’ve got two different sunroofs. And if you just swipe like that, it’ll go ahead and open it for you, which is just Did you see it’s lit up right here in with where you’re supposed to put it? Yeah, I like all extra storage under here. Yeah, because it is it it is electric. You have all that storage under there. Under there, which is really nice. Is this Is the car completely on right now? I can’t tell with electrics. Let’s see there. Oh, listen to that. Oh, the lights do like crazy. um greetings whenever you turn the car on. Now we have all the ambient light going, which is really nice. And actually, I just want to show you real quick what the exterior lights look like. So, I can go ahead and open this and see how it just goes to whatever point I put it at, which is a little odd sometimes cuz you have to push it a little bit. So, let’s see. There’s usually Maybach logos on the ground there, um but it’s not dark enough to see them. There’s the front lights, which are really nice. They go all the way across which is absolutely stunning. And we come along the side here. The door lights, these are actually lit up too, your handles. So at night you can see them. I wanted to show you the rear lights too because I actually think they’re a really beautiful design. You have kind of like these crazy swiping options. It goes all the way across the back which is beautiful. And now we’ll hop in this beauty and we’ll take it out for a drive. First time we’re doing I guess I didn’t need to close my door. I totally forgot. Could have had it do it for me. But here’s the dash. Lots of different options. We go in here. You’ve got your Maybach Pacific, which is of course what we’re going to keep it in. You’ve got your navigation screen, assistance, off-roading. That is actually crazy. Oh, shoot. That’s a heads-up display, too. Ooh, these look different. So, there’s a sport setting that’s totally different than what I’ve seen um in our GLE 63. And then understated teams. Here you go. Your simple ones. Maybe we’ll use that. That’s really cool. Okay, so I just fixed my seat. These are all electrically controlled, the uh steering wheel, so you can move that around, which is really nice. Um, these are heated cooled massaging seats, I believe, the front and the rears. So, if you go to the comfort settings, we’re going to go to the wave, which is our favorite. So, there’s one for me. Wave gets your booty, one for Christina, that does your whole entire body. And we’ll see intensive. I guess that makes it more intensive. It’s awake. I can hear it. Mhm. It is. So, you’ve got Frank Sinatra playing because of course we’re in a Maybach. Your climate controls are all right here. So, there’s really no buttons. And even these are tactic buttons in here. And I’m not even sure how to get to the driver settings. Is it EQ? Is it dynamic right there? Dynamic. Oh, okay. Perfect. Yeah. Okay. So, that shows you your charge and your range. So, on 53, we can go 165 miles, which isn’t terrible. Um, and you can look at your consumption on there. So, if we go to dynamic. Okay, sweet. We can go sport, individual, we’ve got comfort. Uh, what is it? Electric eco. Oh, that’s as Okay, let’s just start off. Comfort and sport. Look at the Maybach logo. I’ve never seen a car brand. Kind of reminds me of like the Louis Vuitton. Show you more. Right. Yeah, exactly. Like coach and like Louis how they put like that in the background just everywhere so you never forget. Okay. Same thing. Putting it into drive. One of my favorites is down for drive, up for reverse, press it in for park. It’s so freaking easy. So, all right, let’s uh get out on the road here. It does have a rear steer, rear wheel steer, so you can see how good this is uh to get this little circle here. Oh, wow. Yeah, it’s got a great turning radius. I would have had to reverse in the other car, which is really nice. Yeah, dude. I can’t believe the front has pillows, too, just like the S-Class. If you saw our S-Class video, um it does have fake sounds that it’ll play. You can turn those on and off. You hear how it kind of it almost sounds like a spaceship like how you would imagine a spaceship sound. Look at the lights on the side. That’s doing that when it recuperate. When it’s recuperating battery life, it it does that. It does the same thing with the heat up and down. Oh, wa. Holy moly. 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. That has insane power in this car. Yeah. So Christine and I have never experienced we’ve had a lot of fast cars, but we’ve never driven electric cars. So we’ve never really experienced cars that have instant torque like that. And oh ah damn it, I should have went. And in electric vehicles, I don’t think this even has gears. Like electric cars sometimes they’ll have one gear. I know like the Tyken, the Porsche Tyken has one gear, but a lot a lot of electric cars just have a single gear. So there’s no like gear shifting. So like there’s no lag. And when you give it gas, it’s just you just go and keep going forever. It’s kind of crazy. But I will say um it’s a little bit stiffer the suspension than I would have expected coming from just driving the S-Class, which is another luxury Mercedes vehicle. I thought that that car I loved the interior of that car. Um but I wasn’t crazy about the suspension. It felt a little too boaty to me, like you were like you were on a yacht. It was super soft. Um this feels better to me, doesn’t it? I like that. This is just a little bit more firm. It feels just a tiny bit sportier and maybe because we’re just used to that. Um, this does have uh regenerative braking and so it basically as soon as you let off the gas it starts to break. You don’t even really need to use the brakes which is kind of crazy. The interior, this crystal white is absolutely beautiful. And in the rear view, I can see the seats behind me and the beautiful um uh piano, whatever style of stuff that’s going back there. And the ambient lighting that wraps around each passenger. It’s absolutely stunning. And I never actually fixed my rearview mirror. I’m looking at the crown over here. I don’t know how to fix that, but I probably should at some point. Um I love the two-tone, too. The fact that it’s crystal white with this titanium gray on the top. Oh my god. And everything’s leather. Look, even the headliner, like everything in here is leather, these surfaces. This is basically what you get when you do the Maybach treatment when my when you get the Maybach variant of the car. Like, it’s gorgeous in here. And listen how quiet it is. Dan, the salesman, by the way, he’s got two or I think two or three of these available if you’re interested. Dan Commune, I will put his information in the description below or up on the screen right here. Um, he said he has three of them available. When he sat in here and he was getting the car ready for us, he closed the door and he was trying to talk to us. We literally couldn’t hear him and I was trying to talk to him and he couldn’t hear me. Like it’s got acoustic treated glass and it’s just insanely quiet in here. You could just whisper it and it would vanish. What movie? There once was a dream of her own and you could just whisper it and it would vanish. Is that um I am dying Maximus. It’s um Gladiator. Gladiator. Hey, she finally watched it with me. So, yeah. Um, is this interior like as far as the lighting not as nice as the S-Class that we drove? The S-Class, we saw it at night. It’s not at night. I know. I know. But I just feel like you think that I don’t know. It just seemed like there was the S-Class had more. You felt like it had more. I thought I’m not stupid voice assistant. Stupid voice assist. We always have arguments with Mercedes voice assistant cuz we’re always saying Mercedes and then she listens to us. Stop listening. Uh it it would take me quite a while to get used to the fact that every time you let off the gas it just starts breaking. It’s really weird. You can’t just like coast. You kind of have to like leave your foot on the gas. Yeah. I love the sounds. Look at this. So that’s interesting. When you’re accelerating, it all goes red. And then when you’re cruising, it’s blue. And then when it’s recharging, it’s blue and light blue. I could see that being a little distracting. By the way, it does have a heated steering wheel, which feels fantastic. Yeah, it’s on right now, and it feels great. All right, let’s do one more acceleration. Ready? Oh my goodness. Okay, dude. Wow. The sound it makes makes me feel like I’m in a spaceship. It does feel like you’re in a space. Furistic sounds. Guys, I got to say, I’ve always ragged on electric vehicles and I said I would never buy one and we shouldn’t be making them. I might have I might have to backpedal on that. Here’s my problem with electric cars. I don’t want to go somewhere and charge it for half an hour or more. Mhm. That’s the thing. But I got to say, as a daily for driving around here when we can just charge it at our house every day, it makes a lot of sense. And this thing’s pretty comfortable. And I like the cool alien sounds. Oh yeah, we forgot to do the cold start. Remember I said I was going to do the cold start? We’ll have to do that at our house. I wonder if it like I wonder if it revs the like if you can you even rev it. What will it do? Let’s find out at the house. Nothing. I don’t know. I wonder if it has launch control. Okay. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to be able to do this or if it’s bad for the car. But if you put it in park, you can rev it and it does make the uh alien car sounds. I don’t know how much it’s these mics are going to pick it up cuz I don’t know how much noise cancelling they have, but it is pretty cool. I think we get Christina over here and let her try this thing out. Dude, this is absolutely beautiful. You know what would be incredible? Mercedes, make one of these with a twin turbo V8 hybrid. And then I’d buy one. Yes. Right. Yeah. So, you still get the V8 sound. Yep. Hold on. Let’s see if this opens the car doors for me. Oh, it stopped it. What if I Oh, then it closes it. You’re supposed to be able to hold it and it opens. Yeah, that’s right. That’s right. That’s right. Sorry, T. Incredible. All right, Tina Weiners is in the driver’s seat. My turn. We’re going to let her try this out. First things first, tap the brake. See you. Closes the the door. Guys, I actually really like this. I really, really like these. Wow, the sound. Hop in on my side. Goodness gracious. The sound is incredible when it turns on. All I have to do is pull that. Oh, it has a heads-up display, too. Yes. Soft closing doors. Look at this interior. It is insane. Okay, hold on. I got to put my seatelt on. Okay. God, the inter I can’t get over how good this looks, guys. This is even at night. Imagine what this thing would look. Going straight to sport mode. Straight to sport. Teen or Wiiers. I don’t know if I showed you guys, but they do have cup holders up here that move. Um I’m not sure why they’re not heating cooled. I guess that’s because that’s for the uh the rear passengers. Okay, you might be able to add them. First time driving an electric car. Yeah, let’s do it. It doesn’t even feel like it’s on. No, it doesn’t. So wild. Oh my gosh, the steering wheel is warm. It’s incredible, right? Oh, that feels good. It’s absolutely incredible. It’s I do love how high I am up compared to the S-Class. Like I prefer the SUV. It’s an SUV. Yeah, exactly. God, I got to say this is Oh, I understand. When you go off the brake, it immediately starts breaking. Starts braking for you. Yeah. Yep. This is nice. I can’t believe for an electric vehicle, it does drive pretty nicely. Yeah, it is smoother than I thought it would be. But you’re right. There is still some stiffness to it. The car. Yeah, probably go straight. Yeah, since there’s a farm vehicle. There is. Plus, I get to accelerate a little bit to see how it’s You’re going to put your foot drives. All right, let’s see. Whoa. Holy Oh my freaking Okay. Wow, guys. Oh my god. That is I can’t believe that. That might be faster than any car we’ve ever owned. Absolutely. And that was it like that for comfort. I I don’t No, it wasn’t. There’s no way it was. No, it was not. I’m actually at a loss for words right now. I didn’t I’m so I did not expect that because you already did it before. That’s sport. Well, I did it in comfort, not in sport. Try put it in comfort mode once and try it. Or do you just want to do it in sport again? Oh my god. All right, let’s go. All right, here’s comfort. Okay, I’m getting prepared this time. It’s still pretty insane, but it doesn’t give you the It doesn’t give you that rolls into it. Yeah. I Hey. Wow. Look at one more time in sport because I do. No one’s around. This is a controlled environment, guys. I like the sound, too. All right. Here we go. Oh my god. Oh, it definitely feels like a roller coaster. It does. It takes your stomach right into the seat. This is a 6,000 lb SUV. All right, Mercedes. I see what you’re doing. Hey, I would buy one of these, right? Why not? Mercedes, stop listening. Why? Oh, because I said the word. Yes, you did. Yeah, I did say it’s supposed to be, but yeah, we’re not supposed to say that word, guys. What a gorge. Look at this in here. The t- with the gray is very, very nice. Absolutely stunning. I I think you should do the white with your car. I’m 100% doing the white. It is gorgeous. Yeah, it’s done. There’s even thicker floor mats in here and ambient lighting down there, too. Like, I can’t believe how beautiful this is. Look at these screens. The hypers screens are insane. I would totally rock one of these. You know what? They need to fix the charging time. Yes. If they could get these to 500 miles on a charge and you charge them in 5 minutes, I would buy one. Even maybe 10 minutes. I don’t think our phones can even charge. They do hook up to this Tesla Supercharger network as well, so they they do work. So, you can use those. Yes. But, dude, so what do you think of it? I like it. I I wasn’t I didn’t have high hopes for it or like great expectations, but I think it’s gorgeous. It drives amazing. It’s fully electric, so you don’t have to go to a gas station. It’s roomy. Inc. incredibly comfortable. The back seat people love it. Yeah, it’s nice. I just my problem is I don’t want to sit somewhere and charge my vehicle. That’s that’s and be robbed because you’re in a $200,000 Maybach as you I mean I don’t think people know that when they’re looking at the car. Not a lot of people know what my box are. I didn’t know what it was until you told me about it. So it is very nice. Steering wheel is one of my favorite features of the car. I love the layout. It reminds me for some reason I think of Star Trek. Never seen Star Trek but it just reminds me this whole car reminds me of a spaceship. Oh man, it’s absolutely stunning. We need to do a night drive. Maybe you trade your GT in for this. Maybe you get this instead of the GT. Get out of here. Look, it’s even flashing red saying you’re full of it. No, that was your blind spot monitor. That’s what that was. Someone pulled up. Crazy. Smoke everything on the road in this thing. Oh my god, dude. This is basically telling you you’re using a lot of battery. Sounds like we’re on a runway and we’re about to lift off. That’s exactly what it does. And I love the big dual um sunroofs, too. Absolutely stunning. This is very, very, very nice. It is. It feels like it’s too nice for us. Would you take this over the S-Class? Uh, I would. I like being up higher. Yeah, I do, too. Yeah, I And I would spec it like this. I love the Al Alpine gray. They did do a good job with the crystal white and the titanium gray interior. I think it’s perfect. The features that they offer just alone with the heated cooled massage, the heated cooled in the back for the cup holders. Oh, there’s hand gestures I’m doing by accident. The one thing I’m not a fan of is the automatic braking. It’s weird. I think you can change something you probably have to get used to. But it is regenerating your battery. So that that’s probably why it is a bit more like ser like um aggressive, I would say. You know, cuz you’re regenerating your battery. Yeah. But I think uh I think that’s it. Let’s actually let’s real quick let’s just go into here and see what other ambient light settings we have. Oh, okay. Oh, that’s Oh, yeah. Look. So, that one is like electric style, which means it’s doing all this other stuff. If you don’t want all those other things to happen, just pick pick something out. Wow. A solid color where it doesn’t change. Yes, you can do solid colors as well. Let’s do massaging seats one last time. One more time. I think the S-Class had nicer massaging seats. Didn’t it feel like it was just Well, the sides moved. Yeah, it did have the sides. I don’t think the sides move on this one. I’m really impressed with this. Very impressed with this. Look at Look at this. We need to do a night drop. Wow. matches my suit your suit. Hot pink, baby. Incredible. If you guys have ever driven a Maybach SUV electric, let us know what your thoughts are. Okay, I do see as it’s getting darker outside and the your lighting is becoming stronger, it is nice. Yes, it has just as much. Okay, I get it. Yeah, great time to show the 3D cameras. So, obviously rear backup camera has front cameras, 3D cameras, self-parking. I believe it has self-driving as well. I’m not sure if this one has autopilot 3.0, which is the one where you can literally watch movies actually on the hyperscreen while you’re driving. Yeah, you literally don’t have to touch the steering wheel at all. Um, I’d have to check on that. Someone will probably Mercedes does a great job with their cameras. Oh, they are incredible. One of my favorite when I drive. Yeah. Oh, listen to that. SOKI. Goodness gracious. I’m very impressed. It’s nice. Oh, what is this? How you open the doors? Yeah. And I’m going to open up mine. All right, guys. Kids, cats, everyone out. Let’s see. And look, you can cancel it or close them all at the same time. Look at this. All the doors. Oh, and you can you close them back up. Let’s see. You can. Wow. Good job, Mercedes. Good job. Okay, we backed it back in here in the electric spot. Look at that. That is absolutely incredible. It’s convenient if you have stuff in your hands or like I was carrying a big cat to the vet and a carrier and it’d be nice to just like walk up to it. Well, at one point he walked up to it and it just opened, right? And now you have the uh light. You can see that’s when you boom. Absolutely incredible. So there you go, guys. There’s a first impressions, first drive, first walk around of the allne 2026 Mercedes EQS Maybach electric. Maybach, Maybach, you love SUV.
