New BMW iX3 – 1st Look at the Neue Klasse Electric X3
here at the world premiere of the BMW iix3. We’re going to have a look at the outside first and it is in this beautiful blue. Just cleaning it off cuz it was absolutely soaking here. Just taking a picture if you can see that new light deck and that narrower kidney grill. Some gloss black down in underneath. And you have that daytime lights at the side. And then at the front you have more daytime running lights kind of ambient high low beam modules there. And you also have your sensor kidney grill here. Active arrow down at the bottom and that strong front splitter with some gloss black down there as well. Interesting BMW badging. Has that silver on it now as well. Nice crease up the front. There’s a frunk inside. We’re going to have a look at that inside. and some nice arrow slots down along it. 22in tire starts off on 20s. No cladding down along the side. You’ve got some nice design lines there. 360° camera. Gloss black at the bottom of the retractable door mirror. And then that body colored all the way up with that pano sunroof at the top of it. Flush door handles. Gloss black down along the bottom with a bit of body colored on it. Very baby EX is what I’m calling it. Even though it is the upcoming new Noia Classa charging port should be closed. It’s not. And then you’ve got 11 kW AC and DC up to 400 kW. Some nice lights along the back here. This is very new. This is very nice. And all future BMWs are going to be like that with that high level brake lamp and that wiper built into it as well. Nice design going on here. You you think the button would be here. The button is in underneath. We’re going to have a look at the boot in a minute. And some vertical reflectors, some fairly strong diffusers. This is an EX-350. Uh, sorry. Can I open up the bonnet? Yeah. From inside. Thank you. So, with the front, it’s a 50. Just going to pop it open for me there. You can see actually did illuminate it. And then we have nice proper BMW. It’s going to be made in Hungary and even going to have the good size there, the charging cables, etc. And I’m going to go around through the rear area now and have a little look to see what the it’s the charging port. 11 kW in AC and up to 400 kW in DC. 10 minutes you can get 371 uh if you can get a fast enough charger. It’s a nice arrow 0.24 drag coefficient with high level brake lamp with the window wiper. And as I mentioned, this is the X350 EX- 350 charging in underneath. 520 liter boot with a 40 20 40 split. And you have some subfloor in underneath here. It is deep. It is wide, but it’s not very tall. Some shopping bag hooks. You have the ability for the toe bar. And with that toe bar, you have a 2,000 kg capability to tow down there as well. So, pop that away again. It’s fully automatic. Then it goes away and it retracts for it as well. Inside here, you’ve got some tie off points, some cables. I don’t see 12vt, but nice pop out door handles that go flush. It’s a nice action on that door handle actually. It’s a full it’s a it’s a switch rather than a pull lever and you have the button here. Windows tinted and they go down this far about 3 70 70 75 cm millm. Some isopix easily exposed. three headrests, cup holders, and trizone climate control with two USB type-C’s. Um, and they got that panoramic sunroof inside. You can see that offcut. I’m going to zoom in there and that panic drive above it. Absolutely gorgeous. Very nice. So, height, legs, let me zoom out. Got feet in underneath the seats, feet here, and then head room. I’m 6’2, 188 cm. Plenty. They’ve done a nice job. And there’s decent thigh support. Hopefully, you can see that down here. Yeah, good. Dark on the top and the bright on the bottom. Let’s have a look on the inside then on the passenger side. Very clean on the door. You’ve got lock, unlock, and then the different um uh levels on the mice touch and feel to everything. Everything has a squish. This is the M Sport version, two-tone, and it has some ambient lighting in behind this kind of woven dash. On top of the dash, then you’ve got that panoramic eye drive that we would have started to see in Vegas, and you can change the widgets on it. So you can see the artificial AI and then that large tilted screen, wireless charging pads, cup holders, drive select, some storage in underneath here. They’re a nice job with this and not bad glove box. This is the red on the side here. You can change all the widgets here. You can change all the widgets at the over there. Yeah. And then you got that steering wheel that again we would have seen the top of in Las Vegas at CES. And that one has some haptic on the silver on the crystal. This is your drive mode selector down here. Park handbrake rear and front demyister with a volume on. So, there is some physical buttons in here. As well as having a storage section there. Not sure about the steering wheel. If it’s three-spoke, yes, I think that top spoke is probably unnecessary. As well as having panoramic drive, but it has a head-up display as well. You can see the head-up unit down there. Nice. In fact, the internal camera like we would have seen inside the um iix back in the day. [Music] which you nice a nice nice responsiveness to that screen. What do you think? What do you think of the steering wheel? Because with the two-tone with the white and the ivory doors open, it’s showing over here. So, there’s a mix of because there’s no driver display. It’s headup and panoramic eye division. And then it has that dash there as well. So, yeah. Interesting. [Music] Nice. So, that’s the blue. So, let you show you what’s here at the an international launch for BMW. Uh, lots of seating areas. There’s a content creator section in there. We’ve got the BMW um electric motorcycle here, sustainability workshop, design workshop. As well as that, you have the is it white or silver or is it ivory over here. Kind of a silver actually. So you can see that there like a baby. That’s how I describe it. I like that. There you can see there’s just people trying to record and uh do as much as they can in Ireland. Uh the EX-350 is 73925 WLTP of 805 kilometers. Three trims. You’re going to get the EX-3, the EX3 M Sport, and the EX3 M Sport Pro. This is where there was more stuff going on in here. the 58 liter frunk. Sizewise, it’s 4,782 mm long, 1.89 m wide, and 1.63 m tall with a wheelbase of 2.9. It’s the sixth gen E drive system, which means it’s getting 30% faster. It’s getting 40% less energy loss, 10% lighter than the original B um generation, 20% less manufacturing. BMW first look. It’s a good sneeze of the BMW iX3 here at the global premiere in Munich.
