Best.Ride. Ever. Why The Mokwheel Obsidian 2.0 Must Be On Your Short List!!

I may not come back for a couple hours. And I’m having a ball. We’re going to be best friends. Can you see that color? Look at that right there. Hey everybody, Monkey Wrench Mike. Boy, am I excited about showing off this electric bike right here. This is the Monquil Obsidian 2.0. It is better in every way. I have done a ton of Monquil bikes and they are all fantastic. This one provides a 1300 W peak power motor. You get a battery that provides 80 miles of range and your top speed is 28 mph. And I can tell you right now, the saddle or the seat feels amazing. So, like we always do, I’ve already put this thing together. I didn’t want to show you that because I want to focus mostly on riding this thing. We are going to take it out. We’re going to evaluate everything and then we’ll come back and we’re going to grade this on fit, form, and function. And let me tell you, the expectations are very high. Can we talk about the color first? This thing is amazing. Black and yellow is gorgeous. You can also get this in red and black. And then there’s also a jungle camo. If you do some hunting and you want to go out in the woods, this would be a perfect bike for you. All right. Like I said, this is a 1300 W peak power motor, 750 watt normal, 105 Newton meters of torque. There is a torque/cadence sensor right in here. This is a great improvement over just the cadence sensor. the torque sensor. It actually feels how much you’re pushing down on the pedal and then adjusts the power that the bike provides. As I said, 28 mile per hour top speed. We have a 48vt 19.6h hour battery that is conveniently hidden in the frame right there. We have a 560 lb capacity. Can you imagine that on this bike? Well, one of the reasons we have a dual suspension. Look at that thing right there. Look at how this whole bottom or the whole back half of the bike is going to flex and move and make it a super comfortable ride. We also have the front fork right here, which is really, really nice. 130 mm of travel over here. 50 mm of travel at the midpoint shock right there. We have hydraulic brakes as you can see right here. I talked about this, the super thick saddle. The bike itself weighs 77 lbs. And these are 4 inch fat tires right here. I think this thing looks incredible. I love the paint. It was perfectly packaged and protected. It looks so so nice. And for the first time ever, [snorts] I’m going to show you something that other bikes do not have. Thanks to Moquil right here. This is coming on. Look at this. This is a beautiful display right here. Okay. Everything you need to know is right here. This is also like an anti- theft device. So now I can take the bike, I can ride it wherever I want to go. Or I can move this up. I can squeeze this together. And look, for the first time, it comes out. The bike doesn’t work without it. Look at that. Yeah, your bike, it’s useless without this. So all you have to do is put this in, hear the click, aim it to wherever you want it to go, push your power, and you are back in business. There it is. What a great little introductory screen right there. Yep. It’s a big bike. It really, really is. We also have, look, I’ve just noticed, a 10speed Shimano shift system. I like it. Here’s your thumb drive right here. You have a bell right here. And you do have a headlight right there. This thing is going to be so cool looking. I cannot wait to get on. This is my favorite part of the review process. Absolutely. getting on these things and taking them on their maiden voyage. And let me tell you, how’s the view? Can you see everything right here? Absolutely. I just jumping on this thing. The suspension, it’s a game changer. It is so comfortable. And the whole back half of the bike flexes. Oh, we have turn signals. Yes, sir. Okay. How nice is that? Okay. Let’s see what else we have here. Plus and minus for the pedal assist, your thumb throttle, your bell. These are your Shimano 10 speed gear system right here. And let’s go up. We are in miles per hour. This is passenger assist or pedal assist. Oh, well, this bike wants to fly. This is a a torquy bike, and that is one of the best compliments you can give a bike. Yes. Okay, so we’re coming down here 12 miles per hour. First things first, a brake test. You ready? 3 2 1. Well, we didn’t lock up either brakes and it came to a very nice halt. Good job, bike. Wow. Two extra gears really makes a difference. Yeah, 10 speeds. It’s like a transmission. Old cars like the ones I drive have three and four speeds. New cars have 10 speeds. That makes it much more economical. More speeds on the bike make it much more economical for you, for your body. It makes it easy to get around town. You don’t have to work so hard. All right, this is the suspension test. As I said, oh, this is so much fun. This is a dual suspension bike and I’m having a ball. Yeah, this [laughter] the up and down is so cool. So nice. This is already I can tell you this is going to be one of my favorites. We’re going to be best friends. This is such a comfortable ride. And it’s silent. Holy moly. Okay. Well, we can go up to pedal assist five and we’re going to go up torque hill. I tell you, the suspension test flying colors. flying yellow and black colors. Not a problem at all. Let’s go up here. Now, this is the This is what I call Torque Hill. Anything above 12 is a passing grade. We’re going 145, 156, 17, 18, 19, 195. Now, these are big tires, and that makes it harder for the bike to go up hills like this, but it’s doing fine. 17.3, 162, 161. I told you this was a torquy monster. If you’re in Europe, she’s a cheeky one. This is a torquy one. Oh yeah. So effortless. We’re going 162. That’s way above 12. So A+. And I got to tell you while while I’m here, right there, that part of the frame is so cool to look at. And you can read where it says obsidian. And it’s that matte black. This is going to be a long test drive. I I may not come back for a couple hours. Brakes great. Torque great. Ride superior. Let’s go up here now. Okay. So easy. I am in I’m in 10th gear right now, literally. And this thing is making it so easy. I should be downshifting, but I don’t have to. This torque sensor is nice. I guess I could use my turn signal. Here we go. There’s the turn signal. [laughter] I love this bike already. Yeah. Okay, this is the fun part of the test. Okay, like I said, 28 mph is your top speed. What I want to do is go down this hill. I’m going to pedal and just see what we can hit. All right, that’s 26, 27, 28. There we go. That was so easy. So easy to do. Now, some bikes some bikes will let you coast faster than their top speed. You know, they it’s according to their system. Now, with this bike with the thumb throttle is 20 mph, 28 while you’re pedaling. So, I had to kind of try to pedal to override that. And I’m facing a stiff stiff headwind right now. So, this bike, I’m wondering if you can remove the speed limiter. On some bikes, you can get into the menu system and do that. Other bikes, you have to actually cut a wire. I don’t ever cut the wire. If it’s a menu thing, I’ll get in here and and change it so I can max out all the power. Look at this. Yep. Give me some slams here. Woo! Woo! You know what? This one’s a keeper for me. It is. Is it shifting gears is so easy and with 10 there’s not a lot of space back there for that chain to move around in. But this works perfectly. I’m going places I have not gone before because I like this bike so much. We’re going to go back here. Let’s just let the bike do some work. See, there’s that top speed. It’ll get to 20. Yeah, 19.9. That’s all she’s going to do for me. Let’s see what happens if I go this way. I wonder if there is a way to get into the menu system and remove that top speed. This bike could handle 40, 45. I It’s just so well built. It really is. It’s so dead on. It’s spot-on. It is. Look, it wants to stay upright. It really, it doesn’t try to turn from you. Other bikes, you take your hands off the handlebar and you’re doing a very sharp turn, [laughter] and that’s not a good thing. This one it’ll go straight. Oh my goodness. Okay. Well, suspension is good. Braking is amazing. Fun factor is through the roof. And the fact that I mean you can adjust the front shocks. You got the middle one there. It is the the motor is is there is a hum, but it’s not overpowering at all. I mean, you it’s I kind of like to hear the motor working. Tires very quiet. The brakes don’t scratch or scratch or anything. And just this is my favorite thing to do. [laughter] I love it. I’m a grandpa and I’m loving life on this Obsidian 2. This is crazy. Holy moly. Okay. Well, Mockquil, you got a winner on your hands. This is amazing. I should just give you one score cuz it’s going to do so well in all three categories. Well, this is going to be easy. Yeah. When it comes to fit, form, and function, I really just want to say one grade all across the board. But we’ll we’ll be very specific. Fit. This is how the bike was packaged, how difficult it was to put together. It was packaged perfectly. It was so well protected. There are zero marks on this beautiful paint right here. This is unbelievably nice. Okay, it was very well protected. It was very easy to put together. So, yeah, absolutely. We’re going to give it an A for fit form. Can Can you Can you see that color? Look at that right there. That is beautiful. It pops. It really does. It pops. Now, with a matte black, sometimes fingerprints and stuff will get on it. Um, and that’s not a big deal. You can just wipe it off. It’s like having a stainless steel refrigerator that gets fingerprints. You just got to wipe it off a little time every once in a while. But this thing, pop pop. The the the frame itself, the way that it looks right through here, it’s not just a round bicycle frame. This is molded. It is shaped. It is fantastic. There are no weld seams at all in this. Um, they spent a lot of time and a lot of money in designing this frame right here. And this system right here, this shock system is incredible. It adds to the look of the bike itself. So, we have front and rear fenders, headlight, everything you could ever want. 10 speeds. [laughter] Yeah. So, for form, absolutely. We’re gonna give it an A+ function. Now, this is how the bike rides. And this is what I did way too much. Okay. All I This might this right here. Look at the give. Look at the rear suspension right there. Give way. And then if you want to go frontwards, it’s almost like a rocking horse. Look at this thing. The ride. Perhaps the most comfortable ride I have been on when it comes to electric bikes and scooters and even automobiles. I mean, this thing was so comfortable to actually ride. I love the seat, the saddle right here. It is so spongy and so soft. It is great. The fact that this is kind of an anti- theft device for yourself right here. So, you can take this off and the bike’s not going to work. You still want to chain it if you leave it outside. You can remove the battery. So, you can leave the bike outside and bring in the battery and this and it should be fine. But the fact that they thought about this and integrated it into the bike’s design and engineering, I love it. I really do. So, we’re going to give it an A+ for that. Overall, this Obsidian 2 is vastly improved over a majority of the bikes that I have ever ridden. Some of them costing way more. So, let’s talk about cost. Right now, the uh the retail price is $31.99. They have it $1,000 off. So, it’s $21.99 right now, which may seem like a lot of money for an electric bike. And and you know, $2,100, that’s a lot of money. It really is. But if you want something that is very wellb built, very comfortable, very powerful, you get a great warranty with this thing as well, and it’s going to go wherever you want it to go, off-road, onroads, wherever. This is the one to have. You have kids who want a great holiday gift, [laughter] get them this. They will love it. If you’d like to go hunting, this comes in camo. This will take you through whatever field you want to get to, you know, the turkey, the deer, whatever you’re hunting. They’re not going to see it. They’re certainly not going to hear it because it is silent. You can creep right up on them. Bring home dinner just like that. Yeah. Perfect. So, if you want some more information on this, if I haven’t convinced you yet just how nice this bike is, use the link in the description box below because it is an unbelievably nice electric bike. And I want to say thanks to Mock Wheel for sending this to me. This one is actually a keeper. Yeah, this thing is beautiful. All right, that’s it for this review. We are back with another one on an electric bike or a scooter or a tester or we’re going to continue with our car work as well very, very soon. Until then, have a great day.
