Electric vehicle auction with the Mercedes Benz EQC and the Genesis GV60 which EV sold ?
Hello, it’s Thursday the 4th of December 2025 and we’re back down south to Shorum Vehicle Auctions just to highlight the 24 electric vehicles that are going through the sale today. Uh this is the last recorded sale of this year for me because next Wednesday we’re off to Spain. Can’t wait. So that’ll be really good. But today, so of those 24, we’ve got an MG ZS, three of those, a mixture of Model 3, Polestar, Ionic 5, couple of NAKs, and interestingly, we’ve got that Mercedes-Benz EQC that I looked at on Monday night, and also the Genesis GV60, which I really, really like. So, let’s get straight into it. see what those two cars sold for and whether buyers dealers are in a buying mood this time of year because usually leading up to Christmas buyers dealers don’t want to stock their forcourts with lots of stock because traditionally people don’t buy a new car this time of year because of the silly season. Anyway, let’s get into the sale and see what happens. First one through today then. Hyundai Kona Nline S65 kWh sister car to the Kia Enero 20,000 mi on a 24 plate from leases UK limited leasing company £19,000 it’s up to CAT clean 21150 average is 19,900 uh looks nice in that gray doesn’t it two services last at 19 now showing 20 that would be popular but does any do any dealers want to stock up this time of year cuz leading up to Christmas retail seems always has tailed off. So that is sold 196. That was a bit of value. MGZs the 73 kilowatt hour size battery SE spec. I had a quick look at this earlier. Um and it was showing I’m not going to see the pictures. That’s a damage report. Oh, there we go. Right. See if I can just show you quickly. Uh where are we? There we go. There we go. At 27% showing 50 miles range. So, this is a really good long-legged EV. Great value for money. Look at the guy price on this. It’s a 72 plate in the white 31,000 mi. Cap average is 10,700. Now, if there toss up between this and a big battery Leaf Plus with a 62 kWh battery, I’d go for this. It’s Yes, I know it’s an MG. I know it’s Chinese, but you know, it’s just a really good value EV with a good 220 mile range. If you’re not trying, if you’re really trying, you could get, you know, 250, 260 out of this very nice, competent electric vehicle. 106 cap average is 107s, grade two. Is that going to sell from Elise’s UK Limited? 106 online bid provisional 106. That would be a phone call. Another MGZs. This one in black this time. Grade four. It’s in black. Showing all the marks again. It’s a 73 kWh 172 plate done 26,000 miles. One key. Grade four. Cap average is 11,050. Cap below is 98. Uh straight in hall bitid at 10 101 26,000 mi SE spec. I think this has got the roof going on, hasn’t it? All the cables are there. Seat condition poor. Right. Okay. 10 five hall bid online bid online bid 106. So you know it’s grade four. I can’t imagine Mr. leases is going to um hang on to this 108. Surely it’s it’s cap below and that has got to be sold. No provisional. I am surprised. First the Tesla through then. Model 3 long range allwheel drive 61,000 miles. This went through a few weeks ago. Uh I don’t think it sold at 155. Can’t remember. uh cap average this month because the caps are averages are updated every month and we’re now in December is cap average is 145 grade three in the white long range allwheel drive 61,000 miles grade three on the 71 plane 145 so cap average now is Mr. Zenith going to want this gone and off his books for 2025. All funders have a different criteria as regards liquidating their stock, getting their money back, and that is provisional. That will be a phone call to see if he wants to pay a bit more. Provisional EQC looked at this on Monday night, didn’t we? Grade one. Who fancies a bit of this? 73 plate, 16,000 miles, big old bus. It’s got a diamond on the front. Who’s going to want it? Uh, grade one is at 293. Cap clean is 29850. Depends on the spec, any options that have been fitted. Um, Mr. Zenith will have an amount he wants to buy uh sell for rather he needs back. It’s at 30 grand. It’s way over cap clean. This I will predict folks will sell whole bid and an online bidder at 311. That is sold £30,100. Tesla Model 3 long range allheel drive. I think this went through two weeks ago, didn’t it? With the blue seats. With the blue seats, blue car with the white seats. 56,000 miles. 71 plate. Grade two. Lovely interior on this. Got those alloys. So, they’ll be 21 in tires. Uh 19s are more efficient. 143. Cap average is 14850. Tesla Model 3. This will be a Shanghai built car as well with a octa valve heat pump. 15,000. I’m going to say it will let this go. 1545. I think it got to 155 two weeks ago actually. Internet bid and hall bidder. Hall bidder at 155. It is uh where are we? 800 pound behind. Cap clean sold 155. Pstar 2 fastback 78 kWh longrange dual motor pilot grade one 9,552 miles on a 72 plate. Average is 19,650. Big old bust. This uh parcel shelf cracked. Not the end of the world. Uh, engine runs without excessive smoke or noise. Fault. Don’t know what that means. Um, yeah, but nice old things these. I like the pole stars, but a bit cramped inside for me. Uh, spare key. Both the cables are there. Mat expires soon or expired rather. Um, yeah, you’re doing your research before you look to bid. Uh, it’s just three years old, isn’t it? Yeah. The 7th of November 2022 plus three years is 7th of November 2025. So, it’s due its first MOT. Bang. Straight in 20,000 grade one. Average is 19650. Uh, cap clean is 21,50. It is near well 700 pound behind 600 behind cap clean needs anote. I think the tires looked all right from me memory having a quick look. Yeah, all Michelin tires all at 4 mil. Um yeah, and that is sold 20,500. Right now Zoe, I’m going to put myself up there. uh 71 plate. Let’s just have a quick look at this. Just wanted to show you something. All the seats on the driver’s side do that, folks. They all end up ripping. Um this has got rapid charging and has not got the heat pack. So, uh always check the rapid charging. There we go. There’s a rapid charger with the CCS. So, put myself back down there. Uh, cap clean is 7,700. It’s grade three. It’s had a few scratches and marks. This will sell. It’s at 7550. Wow. Needs a new seat as well. I am surprised. 7,550. Tesla 3 standard plus four-door 21 plate. No, 71 registered 2021 12,000 mi in the nice gray. This will have the be Shanghai built and have the octa valve and also have the LFP battery which means you can charge it 100% and leave it for weeks. Doesn’t do any harm. Both the cables there uh alloy wheel scuffs which is normal for drivers of Tesla for some reason but nice strong color. This will sell well I think. Capri is 158 is at 156 grade three car. It’s probably mainly the alloy wheels that have marked that down. And the price is proving it. 164 hall bid. There’s two people in the hall or possibly three that want it. 168,000 over cap average. Just below cap clean. It’s grade three. He’ll sell this. Sure he will. Got to surely. Yeah. Sold 168. Tesla Model 3 standard plus. Uh, it’s got a bit of chrome going on around the windows. Look, that means this was built in Fremont in the United States. 70 plate, 42,000 miles, grade one. Nice till February next year. Uh, camp average is 117 in the nice blue. Needs set of the plastic wheel trim things. Got the granny cable there. Uh yeah, I’d prefer the Shanghai bit one for the octav valve heat pump to be fair. Um standard plus think he’s had a 5560 kilowhour pack. Can’t remember. Should do but can’t remember. Right, are we going to get going? These are from Zenith Vehicle Contracts. Here we go. 119 hall bid online bid £12,000 grade 1 127 128 129 £13,000 it’s over cap clean you need to buy some wheel trims for it wow 131 50 this will sell do you think I think so Mr. Zenith will have his eyes popping out his head. 132 online bidder. 13250s color. You see color. Nice miles for a 5-year-old car. Um even though it’s a standard range, still people after it. 133 400 over cap clean. Wow. Online biders. They’re they’re dealers. Public can’t bid online. 134 £500 over nice color 134 any advance on 134 £500 over sold there’s his price £13,400 Tesla Model 3 standard plus in the Y 83,000 mi uh grade one this will be a Shanghai built no yeah Shanghai built car and a 71 plate 83,000 mi grade one cap averages 10,000 800 straight in at 111. Cap clean is £12,000. Model 3 standard plus. Oh, there’s a lot of leaf debris under the bonnet. Uh, both the cables there. Look. Yeah, you’ve had a good look around this before you you bid. Is it 116? Uh, he’ll sell this. I’m almost sure. 118 91 £12,000. Now, if you’re a member of the public, there’ll be 10% to go on the maximum is £750 plus that. So, if you’re a member of the public, £900 to go on top of the hammer price that is sold 12,100. Next, we’ve got Citroen C4 100 kW power the motor shine plus 50 kWh. like this out of all the Stalantis cars. Little bit more upright ground clearance like the styling of these. Um 71 plate registered the 2nd of November 2021. So this will be a lease return after 4 years 37,000 miles. Cap average is 8650 grade two. Is it a four two keys? Look at that. till the 1st of November 2026. You could have looked up the MOT beforehand, see if there was any advisories. You’d have had a look at the tire tread depth warning lights illuminated. That could be a number of things. Not a chance to look at it. 85. That is provisional 85. Right folks, the next eight vehicles back to back are electric. So, I’ll do my best to keep up. Hyundai Kona 150 kW premium 64 kWh size of the pack. Really efficient these bit cramped inside for me being 6’4. Uh where are we? 71 plate 36,000 mi in that sort of undercoat gray. 114 grade two 5year warranty on these from Hyundai. 11750 is cap clean. It’s grade two. It’s at 11550. He’ll sell this. Almost sure he’ll sell it. Three pin charging cable, spare key, two stamps last at 22. Dealers all like that. Uh 11550. That’s got to be sold surely. Sold. 11550. Next. Tesla Model 3 long range all-wheel drive. 25,000 miles on a 22 plate. This will be the Shanghai built car. Just a reminder is that you can tell that by looking at the interior and uh if you got a bit of wood on the front doors that means it’s been built in Shanghai and it’s got the octaval heat pump grade two. One service print that’s probably just an inspection. It may well have been the tires 194. What are the tires looking like by the way? Uh, all right. Five mil, five mil and three. So, five on the fronts and three on the rears. And obviously add some new tires. MOT expires in March 199. It’s way over cap clean. It’s a grade two car. 20,000. £450 over. 500 over. This will sell. Do you think all-wheel drive long range Model 3 22 plate 20,300 black tends to show all the swirly marks etc. and will polish up really well. Got to be sold surely. Yeah, there you go. Sold 20,300. Another Tesla Model 3 long range all-wheel drive 20 71 plate registered November the 11th 2021 expires the 9th of October 2026 in the nice blue with the lovely white interior 63,000 miles. Think this went through the other week as well. There’s been two blue ones with white interiors. I get mixed up. Cap average is 14350. It’s a grade three car. It’s at 149. Few chips and marks you got to sort out. Um, looks nice in that blue, doesn’t it? £15,000. Cap clean 15650. It’s grade three. Where’s this going to end up? We’ve got online bidder and a hall bidder. I’m going to stick my neck out and say he’ll sell this even though it’s just below cap clean. See, he’s got a list of all the cars and the total amount it owes him, and he’ll let the odd one or two through for slightly less because the longer they don’t have their money in their account, obviously, the worse it is for any big fun like Zenith 153. Um, it’s a,000 over cap average. It’s grade three. It’s not particularly clean and that’s professional. Got to be another bit of a conversation and a chat. Hyundai Ionic 5 73 kWh premium 19,000 miles on a 72 plate. Oh, this went through two weeks ago, didn’t it? Ultrasonic error or blockage warning message during reverse. That’ll all be fixed under warranty. 5year warranty on Hyundai. So, under warranty till the 31st of October, 2027. Cap average is 16450. two keys. MOT is until the 30th of October next year. Big old bus, not particularly efficient. Big fat tires on these. Um, and the styling is sort of personally I think it’s going to age quite a lot on the styling front, but they’ve got quite follow. They do look different. Um, have got a nice bottom. I like a car with a nice bottom. I think they look really nice at the back. Anyway, 162 average is 16450 grade three 73 kWh size battery 5 163 hall bid just below cap average. Can’t remember what this didn’t sell for a couple of weeks ago. Provisional 163 uh Scoda Enyak 60 loft with a 62 kilowh hour size battery. Why do they call it a 62 loft? Don’t quite understand. But that’s Volkswagen group for you, isn’t it? It never make things particularly straightforward. 62,000 miles. Stop complaining. 71 plate. V5 is there. Last serviced at 38. Now showing 62 means it hasn’t had the pollen filter changed. and the screen wash topped up. Two keys VAT qualifying, you’ll get the money back if you’re a VAT registered business. Either way, it’s provisional at 121. Now, here’s the star of the show. Quite like this, the Genesis GV60. Had a good look at this on Monday night in the video. Put a link in the description. Grade one, 26,000 miles, 72 plate. The luxury arm of Hyundai 77.4. Yeah. Kilowatt hour battery. Why point4? Just make it 78 or make it 77. Cap average is 19,750. It’s grade one. Look at my previous video to see the damages to this. It’s just the odd tiny stone chip. And Michael is probably talking to the auction hall and people online about it, but you don’t see that many of these at auction. Register the 12th of December 2022. 5year warranty on these like with Hyendai being the parent company. Right. Where are we going to see this then? Hall bid 199. Bang. Straight in. Gap clean is 211. Try finding another. That’s probably what Michael said from the from the rostroom to be fair. 196 78 nine. Are we going to hit £20,000? Doesn’t seem to be much interest. Just online bids. 199. If he lets this go, that will be a cheap Genesis. 199. Surely that was provisional. Yeah, provisional. 99 Ford Mustang MAC E standard range 68 kWh rear wheel drive. Rear wheel drive is always more efficient than an all-wheel drive vehicle in my experience. 21 plate one service at 36 now showing 52. Uh offside door not opening flush. Don’t quite know what that means. Um grade three cap average is 13550. These have come down a lot, haven’t they? And anything with a Ford badge on or a Mustang badge. Ford, they always depreciate heavily. 144 cap clean is 149. Is he going to sell that? Sold 144. Model 3 rear wheel drive 57,000 mi in the gray 72 plate 57,000 mi. Scap average is 143. Bang straight in 152. Nice color that isn’t it? This will be Shanghai built as well with the octav valve heat pumpot’s expired because it would have been due the 25th of November 2025. So just gone. So that’s now biggest been returned before the was had expired. That’s provisional at 152. First of the moability cars EVs wise uh MGZs Trophic Connect longrange 73 kW hour grade four 6,000 mi spare key three pin charging cable two services last at four now showing six uh cap average is 13 350 it’s grade four been through the wars uh granny cable there look yeah nice What’s this going to sell for? 125. Cat below is 12,050. What is Mr. Motability going to say? Hall bid. That is sold 125,000. Kona premium. This is the 39 kWh Kona. So, it’s a smaller battery. Don’t see many of these about because they weren’t particularly popular. 30,000 mi. um grade four. It’s the premium spec on a 23 plate. Rare old thing this with a small battery. Um so you know you’re going to get about four miles. So 440s uh it’s 160. You get about 180 mile range out of this. Uh I have this over Leaf to be honest. Uh 88 cap below is 89. It’s a bit harsh. Grade four, but it’s popularity. You see how many people are going to want the smaller battery coner when most people want the 64 kWh £9,000. He’ll let that go surely. Come on. Come on. Internet sold. Yeah. 9 grand. Scooter. Enyak. Someone with a PD battery. 55 kWh kowatt power the motor 50 edition. Yeah, just call it 55 edition. Anyway, might be the usable, I suppose. Um 55 kWh 10,000 mi uh in the gray 74 plate X motability probably an early return grade two cap average is 18,950 is at 187 is Mr. Motability going to let this go? Uh this will be good for what 150 180 mile range bigger states these scolder part of the Volkswagen Audi group of course. So lots of um ID underpinnings ID3 ID4 etc. And that was provisional 188. One more to go. Last one today. In fact last one this year folks. The Cupraborn eboost version three top of the range grade two 74 plate 12,000 miles cap average is 213. This has all the bells and whistles. Wheel scuffs. Uh yeah, nice looking thing. Still not sure about the whole gold thing at the front on the front air dam, but that’s something to do with the word coupra. Uh stands for copper, I think. Somebody told me £21,000, grade two. It’s an ID3 in very nice clothes. Um, sprung suspension setup is slightly more on the sportier side. Quite like the look of them, apart from the grill. I’ll probably get that wrapped at 213. Is it cap average? Is that going to sell? Sold 21,300. So, what did you think to that sale? Of the 24 that went through, uh, 14 sold and 10 went provisional, which basically means there’ll be a conversation between the auction house shore room and the highest bidder and the vendor and they’ll arrive at some figure that might be only a couple of hundred pounds out. But either way, the highest bidder has the option to pay more or just say no thank you. In which case, it’ll then go through a sale probably now in the new year. Um, highlights for me, that EQC went way over cap clean, wasn’t it? at 30,100. Um, surprised to see that Genesis not selling at 19,09 went provisional. Again, there could be a conversation to see if the uh highest bidder wants to pay a little bit more for whatever um the vendor Zenith wants for it. Other highlight for me was that 39 kWh Kona at £9,000. That was a bit of value despite it having the smaller battery. I’ll have one of them over a 40 kWh Leaf. And then finally, the Kooper Born at 213. Top spec look quite nice. Let me know in the comments below. Do you think that uh those cars were value?
