Denmark Has The BEST EV CHARGING In Europe! It ALL Works!

Good morning. Welcome back to Simply Gregory EV. This morning you join us here in Scanderborg, Denmark at another crazy Danish EV charging site. These EV charging sites in Denmark have been super impressive and I actually might think they could be better than Norway. Let’s give you a site tour because there are a lot of chargers here. There’s a lot of site providers. This is a massive site. Let’s get into it. Let’s go. [Music] Once again, I’m not too sure where to start. So, we got the Lucid plugged in to the Legacy Tridium equipment, which is actually impressive that these are still up and and working given their age. Um, plugged in, I think, at 10% state of charge. We’re juicing up here nicely. That’s all good. Uh, interesting note, that’s the second fault I’ve had with a ABB um, charger on this entire trip. So, entire trip only two or three charger faults, but that’s not a big deal given this site here. So, we have one, two Alpronic Hypercharger 400s at Circle K. We have a beautiful Island Blue Mini charging up as well. So, we have another two Alpronic Hypercharger 300’s. And this is going to be a big sight to walk. You got your gas station here, which is fine. Still a lot of gas cars in Denmark. Actually, apparently, I was reading that 80% of new cars sold in Denmark today are um REVs. Your Circle K has um list for kilowatt hours. That’s in a Danish croner. So, 3.69 69 dangerous toner per kilowatt hour ad hoc rate. We’ll go over here. As I said, this is a huge a huge site. This is right off the main highway from the ferry terminal down into uh Denmark. So, this is what we’re going to go see here. We’ll go check out the Circle K truck charging after, but first, let’s go up here. So, this is another Norly site here. Perhaps not as fancy as that original site we visited, but nonetheless, you have how many posts here? One, four. You have eight. So, you could charge 16 cars. Just in this spot alone, you could charge 16 cars. And up there, we’ll go check it out. There’s another Eon site up there. I’ve lost count of the amount of EV chargers here already. We have our truck charging here at Circle K. And again, just the amount of charging here. These are your This is your power equipment here. We’ll go check that out. See if we can see any tags or labels. I doubt it because normally here in Europe, the transformers and all the power equipment is pretty well covered. You have uh I assume these are your power cabinets for the Alpronic equipment. These are your charger sorry um transformers up here. And we’ll go down here to the Circle K truck charging. Walk across this parking lot. As I said, this is a big big site. A nice site. We’ve already stopped at one this morning to buy some coffee. And again, it was massive. We’ll throw that clip in here. Truck charging. Alpronic Hypercharger 400’s. So, there’s more charging here. I think we’ll go up to that Eon site now. I just can’t believe the amount of EV charging. There’s places in Canada and the US that have I’m talking large towns, large cities, medium-sized cities, but don’t have this much infrastructure. And here it’s like every 10 20 km you have these massive EV charging sites. So, we’ll cut across the parking lot. We’ll rejoin at the Eon site. I think we’ll go up I think we’ll go up this way. I’ll see you at that Eon site. Now we’re just walking up that hill to that Eon site. And this is the same place. That’s where we started. That’s where we started filming was there. And these are Alpronic Hypercharger 300s. Alpronic is everywhere here. Uh I like to say back in Quebec, you have flow is the flow at Energy is the big player, but here in Europe, it’s going to be Alpronicronic and Kemp Power. So, we have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. So, there’s another eight chargers here. So, 8 16 18 22 plus the ionity site. So, there’s almost 30 EV chargers just in this one location. It’s mindboggling. And normally Eon is pretty expensive, but what I’ve learned in Europe is these subscription rates here, I’ll turn the camera around. A lot of these charging providers in Europe, ad hoc, so you just roll up and tap your credit card, are generally pretty expensive in Europe. That’s why you need to have some sort of subscription. We’ve mostly been using Ionity on this trip because it’s easy for a tourist to purchase the subscription. Uh, if you do come here and rent an EV, probably Ionity is your best bet. Sometimes the ad hoc rates are cheap. Luckily, I have a charge map card, so I could just load whatever subscriptions I want onto the card, but generally your cheapest EV charging rates here in Europe are going to be through each provider specific app. And unfortunately, Circle K um is region locked. You’ll find that that a lot of the charging provider apps are region locked unless you have a European iPhone or Android. You won’t be able to um download them. And like I said, I’m lucky. I have a charge map card. So, I could roam pretty much anywhere in Europe with it. It It’s going to work. But your best bet is going to be getting the um Ionity app, buying an IOD subscription. I think they’re around uh €10 for the lowest rate. So around 30 €3 39 cents a kilowatt hour 38 cents. It kind of varies by location as we got that nice that’s a really nice Mini Cooper SE and Island blue. I regret I don’t regret the British racing green but I think our next one is going to be blue. But there’s just so much EV charging here in Europe where you don’t even have to think about charging or if you arrive. Granted, I know not everywhere is like this in in Europe to be fair. There’s a lot of especially in um more central or eastern Europe. Uh someone commented out sorry someone commented that before saying that Denmark and places don’t Norway, Sweden, Germany, France don’t tell the full picture of of EV charging but for the most part it’s absolutely crazy. And you know what’s also crazy here is the amount of ID buzzes that you see at home which they just lowered the price. At home you never see them because they’re so expensive. But here, they’re absolutely everywhere. And the amount of Chinese EVs, although again, I did speak to someone yesterday who was saying that the uh Chinese EVs don’t have the greatest resale value and they might be hard to sell after. But again, the amount of EV charging in this one site, and this is not some cherrypicked site. We were stopping here anyways because we wanted coffee, but we stopped at we stopped about 50 km down the road cuz I couldn’t stay awake anymore. So, I wanted to come here just to check it out, but again, the amount of EV charging here in Denmark, I think it’s it could be better than Norway. And and that’s just my opinion. Comment if I’m wrong. Norway reminded me much of back home in Quebec. You had a lot of legacy infrastructure mixed in with the newer stuff. They just kept everything in place and it works. But these huge, massive, large charging parks here in Denmark are just like next level stuff. It’s completely living in 2040 here as we saw at that first Norly site that we visited um on on the way in. It’s just crazy crazy crazy infrastructure here. It’s it’s nothing like I haven’t it’s nothing like you see back home in uh even at a place like Quebec that has good EV adoption or a place like BC, you just don’t see these massive charging parks on this scale. I actually think Denmark might be beating out Norway in terms of infrastructure and these gigantic charging parks. As I’ve already mentioned, somebody posted that Denmark is getting there much faster than Norway did. As I get this cobweb out of the way, where did that come from? This has been a fantastic trip. I love showing all the viewers this crazy charging infrastructure in uh in Europe, and it’s just getting wild. The EV adoption rate here is just starting to really explode now. And I also like to thank the existing viewers, all the new subscribers. The channel’s really growing. It really means a lot to me that it’s finally working out. I love bringing you content. I love bringing you content from from our trips. And we do it for the viewers. We do it for the viewers. Awesome trip so far. I think it’s time to get Valucid washed. We’re going to head out of here. Check out some other cool charging sites on this trip. This trip is definitely not over. We got a lot more content coming. And I just want to point out that Vanish, much like the Norwegians, they don’t really charge for long. 10 15 minutes and everyone’s gone. So that’s what I’ve been doing. I blasted up to a 55% state of charge and we’ll just ride chargers because there’s so much EV charging infrastructure here. Take care. We’ll see you in the next video. Bye for now. How is this free view charging? You have a McDonald’s here. You got two Alpronic Hypercharger 400’s. And you have this huge charging park here. You have the Uno X Alpronic Hypercharger 300’s. And you have the the clevers charging park as well. There’s so much EV charging here in Denmark. I actually think it might be slightly better than Norway. But we’ll charge up here for 5 minutes and we’ll go loose it in for about 5 minutes. I had to use a washroom and I wanted coffee. I was falling asleep. But we’re at another one of those clevers or clever charging park and you have the Uno X there as well. We have a beautiful i5 E40 charging up wagon. That’s so nice. I’m going to zoom in on that. That’s so nice to see. And you have two Norly chargers up there as well. So there’s so much

Hello again from Denmark! You join Greg at yet another Danish EV Charging Site. Denmark has really impressed us with it’s EV Charging infrastructure that we needed to have a second look at it on our way back from Norway. Has Denmark built the absolutely perfect EV Charging Infrastructure what we all want?
