The Craziest Cars and Trucks at SEMA 2025
If you wanted to buy this car today, you would probably go to jail for murder. If you’ve never been to SEMA before, it’s basically ComicCon for cars. My goal this year is to find the craziest, the wackiest builds that just do not make sense and maybe even the ugliest cars out there because sometimes you can go a little bit too far. I think I found it. The ugliest car at SEMA right here. This is actually pretty cool. I’ve never seen something like this. So, the bumper comes off and you get this LED screen right here. You can advertise whatever you want on here. I’m getting some ideas. What? What the hell? I never thought you could take a Model 3 and then jack it up and turn it into an off-roading vehicle, but I guess anything can be done now. Hey guys, quick one. We have some snow tires on it and your emotional support tire right here in the back. You want to go for a ride? You might need a ladder. Don’t hit your head on the way out. You know, a lot of people ask you why. Why would you do this? But I think we’re asking the wrong questions. Why not? Come on. This is a meme level flex. Does this thing actually drive? This is from Whistlein Diesel. It is a Dodge Ram pickup and it has 17 turbochargers on it. Horn if you’re horny. You know what? They’re solar powered. Do you imagine if this truck could fart? I found the most valuable thing here at SEMA. This car over here is worth over $9 million. It’s absolutely stunning. This is the Pagoti Emola Roadster and it’s a one of eight. And then this color is a one of one. And if you thought the car was cool, check out the key fob. How cool is this? It’s actually has some weight to it. And the best part right here. What’s super interesting about this is the inside of it actually has recycled material from Louis Hamilton’s Pagani that was in a crash and they put it inside this vehicle. So why are they going to let me scrape it? This car has expel PPF on it, which is paint protection film. There you go. See that? See, I’m just literally just unreal. Guys, you know that Tron update that Tesla’s just got where you get to ride in the Tron Aries motorcycle? Well, I found the real one here at SEMA is actually even called Aries. And it starts at $19,000. But get this, the 0 to 60 is 3 seconds. When they say crossrocket, they’re not kidding. I can’t believe they had this this year. This is the world’s fastest Cumins. Check it out. Oh my gosh. Wow. It is so much bigger than I expected. That’s what she said. Sometimes I look at a car and I can’t even tell what kind of car it is just by looking at it. Right here. It looks like a dragon. We have some Lambo doors going on. And the only way that I know what this is is right here. Also, I’m just going to say this. Don’t be offended if I call your build ugly. The whole point of SEMA is to push the limit. So, if your car isn’t ugly, then you’re not doing enough. And if you want to know how these conversions are done, well, here’s an easy way to still have a Tesla, but you could have any car that you want. So, this gives you capability to Tesla overtheair updates. You have access to the supercharging network. This is just the chassis. It’s like those RC cars where you just hop on. The whole point of all this is that you’re not limited by what an OEM makes. You can literally do whatever you want. So, you guys know how much I love tech. Well, there’s some tech built right into these Model Y Juniper Pro formats by 3W. The designs for each model blend in perfectly with these. So, check it out. These are brand new, and you can see they have little Model Y’s built directly into them. They make custom fit masks for over 400 different models, and they have the industry’s first one piece aluminum pedal design with bigger mold text. So, this completely eliminates edge wear and warping, which is a huge flaw in most traditional mats. And what’s brilliant about these is that both the driver and the front passenger have these little hidden compartments on them that extend backwards. That is perfect to be able to hide things and it doesn’t roll around when you’re driving. You can easily tuck away things like umbrellas or tissue boxes. Grab them when you need them. The rear mats also extend all the way under the front seats, but are designed to avoid blocking the air vents, so you get full floor coverage. Even the spikes on the back have been completely redesigned. So, some of traditional mats actually will glue on the spikes. With these, they have a unique 40° golden spike inclination, so they don’t move around at all. Check this out. If I want to put my seats down, we have little mini ones to go over your seats. They even show you where your hookups are going to be. Look at this. Look at this. There’s even a line right here. So, if I wanted to just put that middle seat down, I could and still have it protected as well. All right, let’s get back to it. Now, this Prius is fat. No, literally P A T. I mean, look at this widebody kit. And actually, these are two things you don’t think would go together. A Prius with a widebody kit. And I could think I like it better like this. [Music] You walk outside and you’re like, “What am I even looking at out here?” Because this is a military Huni that’s been converted into a 6×6. It’s been lowered. Look at this spoiler. Have you ever seen anything like this before? Probably not. So, there’s a Cybert truck over here and it has an overland kit on it. And please don’t kill me for saying this or maybe I’m already dead because it kind of resembles a hearse. This Cybert truck I can get behind. Literally get behind because it wears the hearse better. They say who wore it best right here. I also love this wrap. Like that’s that’s pretty cool. All right. So this is not a car. It’s not a helicopter, but it is a V toll and it’s all electric. So one person can fly it. You do not need a pilot license either. It will cost you around $190,000, but you get 20 m or about 20 minutes of flight time. So, if you need to get somewhere fast, this is the way to do it. This is the future, and you can pre-order it right now. So, this is a fully customized, insanely built Chevy C10 pickup truck, and everything has been fabricated by hand. This is an entire customuilt frame from the ground up. That is an entire battery pack module. This is EV converted. Now, there’s people out there that are going to say in the comments that this is sacrilegious. Yes, there’s exactly why I said things don’t go together. Well, that’s what your opinion is. There is a heart and soul behind someone that took all the time and effort that spend hours and hours of R&D to even make this a driving vehicle. So, what’s so sacrilegious about the difference between it having an engine or a battery and a motor? It’s not. It’s the same truck that would have been outside or in any other spot in SEMA. The difference is here we’re crazy. The difference is it doesn’t sink. No emissions. That too. That’s the difference. So instead of an engine, now you just dress up your battery and motor pack and now you have all this room for activities. When you do this, remember, you no longer have the same gauges, the shift modules that you would have. The transmission’s gone. So what do you do? Well, you you just add a shift knob and you add digital gauges. And all these companies that are making modules that you’ll see in the front of this, they’re making it possible for you to do this to any truck or car that might be laying around your backyard and it’s a family heirloom and you don’t want to let it go. You can give it a new life. And you can do this in your garage. I found a Tesla Porsche right here. Look at this. You talk about cyber cab. So much walking. Oh, all right. I finally found a good seat. This is an actual milk delivery truck that they’ve brought back to life. I’m all about taking what’s old and bringing it back to life and giving it a second purpose. You know, we have some real rust. It’s a thing. We’re owning it. And we’ve even have the gold wing cover for our engine. What do you guys think about all this? So, this is a perfect example of what I’m talking about right over here. This is the EO. This is an Italian car from the 1960s. They only made 400 of these. But check out what’s under the hood over here. It actually has a Tesla drive unit, 65 kWh battery, but it maintains all of the classics. Check out the inside. Absolutely stunning. All of those are original switches from 1965. That’s the original steering wheel. Everything works. I mean, and the satisfaction, this is what I don’t like necessarily about the new uh electric vehicles. Flip that first switch up. Isn’t that satisfying? The click. You know something’s happening, right? It does feel good. It’s like that ASMR that we all love. Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. And then now, normally the EV conversions, they would have a shifter knob. Yeah. But if you look at that, it says park, neutral, drive, reverse, economy, and sport mode. So, if you put your hand on there and pull up and put it in here. See? So you actually get a sensation of shifting the car into gear. And a lot of these parks were restored from the original car and optional one pedal driving. It has optional one pedal driving and you use a Tesla drivetrain. That is a modified Tesla drive unit. It’s a large drive unit. So that’s 600 horsepower. Now, I have an EV conversion and we have the same motor in and on a dyno, my truck puts 500 horsepower on the ground. Same running gear. Do people drive this or is this like This is going to be a regularly driven car. Mind blown. It even has DC fast charging in it. So, you could road trip with this classic car. Okay. So, what is the cost for something like this? This is a one of one. What is This is one of one. This is one of one. and you might want to take that price offline, but to do something like this, you’re going to be well over $200,000 into this. If you wanted to buy this car today, you would probably go to jail for murder cuz Dan is not going to give it up. All right. Yeah. All right. You’re going to have to find your own and do it yourself. And that’s why we’re at SEMA today. That’s right. Find your own and bring it to us at Current Electric Vehicles and we’ll do it for you. There you go. That’s an air cooled Porsche. And that’s a car that you would look at and say to yourself, “Wow, this is an iconic car. Who would do this to this?” Right? Because you you break apart a car that has so much history and you don’t know how the public or perception is perceived in so many ways. And what they’ll say, well, you ruined a classic car. But you didn’t ruin a classic car. You just changed it. But it’s only internal. The outside still looks the same. To be honest, it’s kind of eye opening coming here because I’m so in my EV electric bubble. And in our community, we always joke that Toyota’s over because they don’t have a lot of electric vehicles coming. They’ve leaned into hydrogen. But then you come here and they have this giant display. People are swooning over their vehicles. So, I think it’s good to kind of like see what’s going on outside of your bubble sometimes. So, here is an entirely different kind of conversion. This is actually a private motor home. very interesting in all kinds of different ways. Would you guys want to go camping in this? Would you live in this? So, they take the stock OEM tail light and they literally make a back plate and punch those LEDs through it through a a template. I love it. It’s like light bright. I feel like what’s going on right now is I’ve lost objectivity. It’s kind of like when you go to Disney and you don’t want to wear those Mickey Mouse ears and then by the end of the trip you’re checking out everyone’s ears and you’re like those are actually really cool. And I think that’s what’s happening right now. I appreciate it for the art. So here’s the thing about art, right? There’s fat versus fat. There is sick versus sick. So you have to decide because you know what? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you open my car, it does identify as a long range birth as a standard range rear wheel drive. Uh it is now a long range performance. Well, this is coming out and going into that cuz the car is actually powering that stand with a real This is your charger right here. Tesla charge port up front in your front. Yeah. So, I actually removed an actual Tesla charge port from a car and put it in here and it powers. Okay, that is crazy. I’m just going to call it like it is. There is definitely not as many electric cars here at SEMA this year than last year and I’m not really sure what’s going on with that. But what I do love is all these gasloving people have to put their butt into a Tesla at the end of the day and get onto the Vegas loop to get around. And this is what Pike got right here. This is the line to take the loop to get your butt in a Tesla. If you have never been to the Las Vegas Convention Center, Tesla has an underground tunnel here with all their Tesla driving between it. So, that’s your way to get around if you don’t want to be walking like 10,000 steps a day, but most likely you’re still walking 10,000 steps a day and you’re taking the loop.
