How TATA Motors is making public transport smoother and sustainable with EV buses in Bengaluru
This auto just cancelled on me but I found a hack that never cancels is comfortable and green. You see in Bengaluru millions of people take the bus to schools to work and back to their homes. So BMTC decided to power up our public transportation. Hi we are Jenny Vi shifting gears with our sustainable stories. Hi Jenny, this is Rama Chandran, managing director BMTC and I am Vijay Menan, COO Tata Motors Smart City Mobility Solutions. BMTC has tied up with Tata Motors to bring you these super silent and efficient EV buses. But how is this any different? This is a partnership that benefits the public. This is called a public private partnership and it’s genius. Tata Motors doesn’t just stop at delivering the electric buses to BMTC. They build the charging stations. They train the drivers. We also monitor fleet health remotely to prevent breakdowns. Tata Motors focuses on building, operating, and maintaining these buses. BMTC sets the route so that you can travel conveniently and comfortably. They even have CCTVs, fire safety systems and emergency panic buttons. Today, Binguru has over thousand of these electric buses clocking over 7 cr km which is equal to planting 1.5 million trees. This shows that when a private company and government come together, people can be happy, employees can be happy, and our planet can also be happy. So, should we all get together and start using more buses? Let me know in the comment section. Follow Genev and be a part of generation earth.
