NEW Audi A6 e hybrid! #audi #phev
Here’s why the new Audi A6 E Hybrid may be an executive company car which you actually want to drive. Firstly, it’s the looks. It looks incredibly sleek and quite timeless actually. However, if saloons aren’t your vibe, they do of course have the Avant version, which is the Estate, which of course very much suits Audi. The interior, very comfortable seats, and Audi have actually started adding a lot of standard equipment to the cars. Rear passengers can keep their identity firmly hidden with their very much privacy rear glass, which is great. Which is also double glazed for better refinement on the road. So, a nice quiet cabin. How clever. These have easily got to be some of the best indicators of all time as well, haven’t they? I mean, you’re not going to be a BMW driver when you’re driving an Audi. You’re going to show everyone where you’re going. The rear indicators are just as cool. And the next great thing about the AS6 E Hybrid is the way it drives. It’s very much planted on the ground, and that means at faster speeds, it feels very secure on the road, and it takes corners so well. Better than pretty much every SUV I’ve driven, too. Of course, Audi know how to make a sporty SUV as well, which is great around the corners, but you can’t really argue with the physics of being lower. is going to help you have less roll in the corners and help you have a more engaging driving experience 100%. It’s pretty nippy. Naugh 62 in 6 seconds on all models. It’s 295 brake horsepower combined with the 2 L turbocharged petrol and the electric motors. And it is quattro allwheel drive as standard as well. It’s a 7-speed dualclutch estronic DSG transmission as well, which is very slick. I have done 49 miles in this car today and I’ve averaged 93.5 miles per gallon. How good’s that? Also, this has got rear wheels which steer, which turn to help your turning circle be really good. I mean, how look at that. Look how easily it turns around there. So, it’s got a turning circle of like a hatchback. It’s mad. This car is like nearly 5 m long. just takes corners so well that there’s literally virtually no roll. It just like it’s just glued to the ground which is great. It’s also got an electric only range of up to 65 mi which is very good and a low benefit in carrying tax 9%. It’s also got 11 kW home charging. So if you’ve got 11 kW wall box it takes under 3 hours to fully charge. So, being great to drive, efficient to run, and just a good car all round, I think it would make a great executive vehicle, the Audi A6E hybrid. The Audi A6 e-hybrid Saloon is Audi’s premium executive plug in hybrid aiming to be popular with company car drivers thanks to its 65 mile EV range, low running costs & 9% BIK rate, meaning as low as £92 per month in tax for a 20% tax payer!
PHEVs are becoming increasingly popular, thanks to their flexibility and longer ranges. The A6 e-hybrid utilises a 2.0 TFSI petrol engine, and electric motors producing a combined 295BHP and 450NM of torque, getting from 0-62 in 6.0 seconds. The Quattro AWD system means the A6 puts power down and grips well.
3 trims are offered in the e-hybrid range with the Sport, S-Line & Edition 1. I tested the First Edition model which is for dealer demo models and features similar equipment to the Edition 1 model + exclusive wheels & the dynamic lighting.
Audi offers both an Avant estate model and the 4-door Saloon model as tested. The A6 range also features a diesel MHEV and the A6 e-tron fully electric range.
