The FASTEST E-Bike I’ve Ever Ridden! 72V Falcon Pro Review
Today we are testing out this 72vt ebike from 79 bike. And coming from someone who’s all about motors and two-strokes, I honestly got to say this thing is impressive. This bike is super quick. If you saw recently on the channel, we have tested another ebike which was like the super budget option. Uh that was a 48 volt. This is a 72 volt. Now this is like a full size ebike. This has full suspension and it’s built for someone obviously like my size and my height. The other one’s like a mini bike. It’s a little bit more on the expensive side because it is actually quality. This bike is about $4,000. But you will see later in this video on why that price tag makes sense because we take this thing and drag race it against one of my 72cc scooters, which is about the same price range as well. We take it in the dirt and we hit some wheelies on this thing and really see what this ebike is all about. But this bike is uh fancy, let me tell you. We have a full LCD display here. Everything is controlled here by the hand controls. So, you can change the modes. You have even blinkers on this thing. Check out the back back here. That is insane. This thing is actually ridiculously quick. I’ve never rode anything 72 volts before this. When I had a Suron back in the day, when they first came out, it was 48 volts. Now, I feel like everything ebike is 72 volts. And I guess it’s probably more common, but uh man, like this thing is just it is insane. So, let me go back to when we first got this thing because it showed up in the crate. We had to build it and then we got ripping on it. So, let’s get to the video, boys. When that two pop, tell me who want to smoke with us. 12:00 on your blood is scraping it and won’t stop. Make these 70s riper smell like piss in that balance point. Get behind me up and hit so damn wet. Water like a fish. This looks absolutely insane right now. Look how much this bike is popping with the colorway. I knew I needed to go with this metallic silver cuz this thing just pops. I originally wanted the yellow, but who doesn’t love a little bit of purple? Man, this thing is crazy. What is going on here? Oh, we got a little number plate. Damn, this is a baller baller bike. This is like what I’ve seen when you buy a brand new Porsche and stuff. This stuff is nice. Look at the charger for this thing. First of all, this charger is insane. This thing is like an iron for clothes, bro. It’s got a whole handle on it. Does every 79 bike come with this? Cuz this is so baller. Thank you, 79 bike. Let’s get this thing together and off the crate cuz I am so excited to try this thing out. Well, this 79 ebike almost comes completely put together in the crate except for a few things like the foot pegs and the handlebars and the front wheels. So, here we have a small box with the parts and the tools that you need to do so to put everything else together. And there really isn’t much tools because there’s not much else required. I figured I’d just rip it off the pallet and then kind of get it on the ground because it was already wobbling and I thought it was going to fall over. So, I got it on the ground. Looking at it now, it might have been a little easier to put the handlebars on before I took it out the crate, but oh well. Nonetheless, we got the battery ripped out of there, so we can throw it on the charger while we work on getting our front wheel installed and cutting off the straps for our suspension. The shocks are preloaded. Very antilimatic on the suspension release on those straps. I thought it was going to be crazy spring-loaded, but anyways, we got our front wheel ready with the washers and the axle to slide through our fork. So, that is very simple and we’ll come back and tighten those all up. But, I’m looking and I noticed this big sticker hanging off the forks that was bothering me cuz it wouldn’t sit down anymore. So, I ripped those off. But, even though I’m ripping off the logo, these are actually really, really good forks. And I heard a ton of good things about how these 79 ebikes actually have some of the best front suspension from most the ebikes on the market right now. And when you’re jumping those things around and you’re kind of rough on them, you know how easy it is to bottom out the suspension on these. And I was very impressed later on in this video on how good the suspension actually is on this bike. So, we grabbed our foot pegs and there’s basically two pins on the back of the mount and one bolt. The two pins line up on the frame where you can see the little slots. And from then on, you just tighten it onto the back. Now, I didn’t want to remove these stickers here, but as you can see, mine was missing on the seven number and they were kind of messed up from the packaging. So, I went ahead and removed the sticker on both sides, but I still love you 79 bike and thank you for sending out this awesome Falcon Pro ebike that we could test this thing out today. And since we got our fully assembled now, I figured I’d give you a few specs on this bike. So, what we’re looking at right here is a 72vt ebike with a top speed of 56 mph. Motor power of 10 kW 72volt battery, 35 amp hours LG lithium battery with a max range of 75 mi. That is pretty up there on distance and power for an ebike. The charge time from a 0 to 100% is 3 and 1/2 hours. And we have some 19in off-road style tires on this bike. There’s a weight limit of 300 lb and the bike itself weighs 130 lbs. Now, with all that information, there’s only one thing left to do and that is to get this bike fired up or I guess turned on. But we got our big old battery set into place in here and a very, very nice quality big plug here for our power supply to our battery. So, now we turn this thing on and there is a bunch of instructions on how to hook up a Bluetooth app here for a smart key. You don’t have to use the physical key. I’m still not completely positive on that. I have to look more into that. All right. Well, as you can see, the bike is on. The bike has some crazy LEDs on it. I didn’t even know it had this down here. This is sick. But I’m not sure how to connect the mobile app. So, we’re going to try that in a little bit. We got everything ready to go on the bike. So, we should be able to go give this thing a test ride right now. Now, I think the mobile app is for this key right here, which is a smart key. Now, I think that’s to make it where you can’t start the bike without having this. I’m not too sure. We’re going to figure that more out later, but I’m going to see if this thing will work. All right, we have brought out the best comparison that I can imagine for this ebike right here. This is a 72 volt ebike. What better than to race than a 72cc gas engine, right? Old school 1996 versus brand new modern age 72 volts versus 72 cc’s. This bike hits about maybe like 55 60 m perph right now. This one supposedly hits 58 I think the top speed was. Um I’m sure this one could probably go even higher like we did with our last ebike if we wanted to modify that out the box. Hit 58 mph. An ebike is like instant instant torque. So this thing is definitely going to beat off the line. We’re going to set it up for another 1/4 mile. This is the same drag strip that we’re using back in Mexico. Let’s see what it does. I’m thinking honestly though after riding that ebike a little bit more that uh we probably should have brought a faster bike than this 1996 Honda Elite 72 verse 72. We got RJ here. I’m not going to lie, there is a little bit of a weight advantage here. But I’m thinking that since this bike is obviously way faster than the get we put RJ. We’ll hop on the good old Elite and we’ll see what it does. Oh, right there. Little sound comparison real quick. [Music] Let’s hear yours here. I’ll shut mine off. Measured it last time. So, [Music] but because he weighs like 100 lbs more than me and when he was riding this ebike, I was kind of close to him with the Elite. So, 72 volts definitely whoops on a 72cc. Yeah, that’s big boy certified though. Yeah, because you’re way lighter than me and you cooked me, but I took you Yeah, that’s what I was saying. Next second. So, if it was the same weight, this would have been way further ahead when Yeah. And regardless, but yeah, this big boy certified. I don’t even know what the weight limit is on this. They probably say like 250 45 in the wheelie, dude. And yeah, this thing definitely hits even with me on it, dude. 58. Wow. You kind of just can like hold it unlike a regular gas bike where you’re like on off the gas. It feels like on the ebike you kind of just hold it at the same same throttle position. It kind of wheelies on its own. No wonder there’s that auto wheelie thing I’ve been seeing on the ebikes. I’m on the 79 and this thing is an absolute ripper, bro. You just saw it. Oh, you just saw it against the Elite. It is incredible how much power is compact in these bikes. If you ever rode an ebike, you know that that that torque is just it’s just something different. I’ve never rode something 72 volts before. So, it is it is all news to me. We’re We’re about half battery now. 59% lift. It’s comparable, honestly, to like a 250 dirt bike. It is pretty crazy. We’re still going 40. Oh my god. We’re going 50 mph through the dirt right now. Dude, this thing is so fast, dude. Oh, no shifting. It’s just so quick. Don’t cross up. I was going to say it’s going to be soft right there. That dirt’s soft. If I was better at wheeling, I try to wheelie across this and then link into the jump. But I’m all sloppy on the wheelie part, so [Applause] Oh, it rips, bro. This thing shreds, dude. Oh, you don’t realize how fast you’re going cuz you don’t hear the motor itself. All you start hearing is the wind and then you’re like, “Oh my god, I’m going 50 into this gravel turn.” She definitely holds up, man. And the suspension is actually really good in this thing. Can we hill climb it? I’m running over so much glass. I hope these tires hold up. That one kicked us sideways. Oh, it’s getting rocky. Look at this, dude. The back wheels just skdding. I feel like we need a little bit fatter of a tire in the back for more traction on stuff like this. We’re riding up the side of a freaking mountain right now, though. Oh my gosh. All right, we are out of trail. Look how high up we just got. This is sick. Suspension test definitely passes. This thing feels really good in the dirt right now. Thank you 79 Bike for sending this bike out and letting us try this thing. We are taking it through every condition today. From street racing to wheelies to off-roading. Oh, she’s loose. Oh, she’s eating it though. Still eating. Claire, I lost you. You’re up there. I was out there. You seen me out there? Hey, you dropped your phone. It fell out right away. Oh, we catch right up on the 72 volt. We catch right up to him. And we’re only at 20% battery left. You want to try this one? Sure. Are you tall enough? Probably. Yeah. This one’s in sport already, too. Yeah. Oh, this is the LTR light. I don’t know what this thing is. Electric. And nothing compares to the 79 bike does. That’s for damn sure. The bars are so crooked on it. Very slow takeoff. I know. This one’s loud. I know. I got to tighten up the jeans. This guy just disappeared for like 15 minutes on this bike. Tell me about it. Fire. Really? Probably was an electric dirt bike. All right, boys. That is going to do it for our ebike testing for today. Now, we do have big plans with this thing. We were actually going to take this to an FMX track and get a real rider to see what they think of this bike, but we weren’t able to do that because the weather’s been crazy. Except for today. Of course. Today, the final day is the most beautiful day. Like I said, stay tuned for more on that 79 bike. And just like the last ebike, I think we’re able to actually tune this bike and get even more power out of this thing. So, it should be interesting to see what we can truly do with these ebikes. And we’re not becoming an ebike channel, boys. I know we’ve had some ebike content lately, but these bikes in the last year, the quality has gone up insane. Like the suspension alone and just the power and the bigger batteries now, it is ebike market is blowing up right now. And it’s not even a debate. It is getting huge.
