Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle Range, Charging, and Real World Punch
The first full-sized electric motorcycle from Honda finally has a name. Honda WN7. Honda says the letter W is inspired by be the wind. The letter N signals a naked design and the number seven points to its power class. What matters when you swing a leg over though is how it feels. And this one aims to feel light, quick, and effortless in daily life. The slim futuristic silhouette from the original EVF F-UN concept returns with realworld practicality. A fixed lithium ion battery targets more than 130 km of riding on a charge and charging options are set up to keep your day moving. The bike supports combined charging system type 2 rapid charging so a 20 to 80% top up can be done in about 30 minutes. At home, a 6 kilo volt ampere wall box can take the battery from 0 to 100% in under 3 hours. That is the kind of flexibility that turns an electric motorcycle from a weekend curiosity into a genuine everyday machine. Performance is where the WN7 tries to surprise you. Curb weight is a tidy 217 kg and the water cooled powertrain centers on an 18 kW motor. Honda says output will feel similar to a 600 cm internal combustion engine motorcycle, but torque lands at 100 newton meters, territory normally associated with 1,00 cm internal combustion engine bikes. If you’re looking for broader access, Honda will also offer an 11 kW A1 license version, bringing more riders into electric motorcycleycling without sacrificing the core experience. Riding an electric motorcycle is different, and Honda leans into those new sensations. The WN7 promises quiet, smooth, vibrationfree travel with zero tailpipe emissions while still embodying the brand’s classic balance and stability. With more than 75 years of two-wheel development and a milestone of 500 million units produced reached this year, Honda is pouring deep experience into this platform, so it still feels unmistakably Honda when you roll on the throttle or tip into a corner. technology and usability round it out. You get a bright 5-in thin film transistor display with Honda Road Sync connectivity and dedicated electric vehicle menus, plus light emmitting diode lighting at both ends for crisp visibility. Full technical specifications and the complete options list will be revealed at the International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition in 2025. But the intent is clear. The WN7 is designed to be easy to live with and fun to ride. If you are already picturing one in your garage, you can pre-order through Honda’s website and be routed to a local dealer. Customers who place a pre-order before November 4th will receive a complimentary seat bag. Always useful on a naked bike meant to be ridden.
