The 2025 Kia Sorento PHEV SX – Full Overview!

channel. My name is Gabby. I’ve got Adam on the camera. There’s Adam. And today we’re filming a live walkthrough of the 2025 Kia Sarrento plug-in hybrid in the SX trim level. And I have to say, I might be a little bit biased. If you’ve been watching for a while, you know my favorite color. If I were to get a Sarrento plugin, this would be the exact spec with the exact color and exact interior I would opt for. So, in today’s review, again, it says live streamed. So, we’re doing this in real time. No script. It’s just us in the vehicle. We’re going to give you everything you need to know about this particular trim level. We’ll talk powertrain, the exterior, interior, you name it, we’re doing it. And we’re also dedicating a couple minutes towards the end towards going over all your questions. So again, that’s the biggest benefit of doing this in real time. If you’re watching this live with us, you can add in in the chat box anything you’d like to see. So Adam, should we get right into it? Let’s get into it. Okay. So Adam’s going to take a hold of the camera. We’ll start off on the front end of the exterior, work our way under the hood, do a full wraparound of the car, and then finish off on the inside. We’ll talk about space, seating, and functions. On the front end, you’ll notice we have our bold, bright amber daytime running lights. This is one of the biggest exterior changes in my opinion for the refresh model Sarrento. So, it definitely adds a bit more of a wide approach to the styling of the front end, largely the hood. It travels downwards and perfectly houses or frame your full LED headlamps. So, we get LED projection lamps, positioning lamps, and even tail lights when we go to the SX model. If you opt for the EX below, you will not get LED tail lights, but you still get LEDs on the front end. Couple other touches, and I will get into pricing. Do not worry you guys. We do get a full 360deree camera and forward- facing parking sensors. So, when you’re parking this vehicle, if it senses a car or wall, any sort of obstacle ahead of you, it’ll automatically show you the camera ahead of you, so you can see exactly how much space you have. You also have some gloss black styling elements that expand all the way across your front bumper and match perfectly with the grill itself. Now, a couple of these touches are exclusive to the SX model. So, if you are style forward, I would definitely suggest moving on up to this trim. The price point is going to be 60,265 Canadian. That is the base MSRP. There are no longer any incentives for plug-in hybrids here in Canada at this point. We used to have a $5,000 rebate, though. If you got one of those when we had five grand, you were one of the lucky ones. Oh, it’s okay. Press the this button. This one? Yep. One more time. Sorry, you guys. Technical difficulty Friday. I don’t know what’s going on. Yeah, I really don’t know what’s happening. Okay, we’re going to scrap the gimbal and do everything with our hands today. That’s much better. Okay, sorry, guys. All right, where were we? I think it’s about time we pop the hood open and talk powertrain. Now, our plug-in hybrids utilize two different power plants. Number one is a 1.6 6 L turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine. Now, a benefit of having simply GTI for the fuel delivery on this power plant is because it’s a plug-in hybrid, we have an electric motor in a battery. That means a lot of the low load situations, things like accelerating from a standstill or driving slowly are done purely in EV mode. That minimizes the, you know, use or overall value of having multi-point injection, MPI, if you will. So, here is our power plant. In terms of output, we have 261 horsepower and 258 pound- feet of torque. Your transmission is a six-speed automatic transmission, and you have paddle shifters within the vehicle, just mounted right on your steering wheel to upshift and downshift the car if you want to cycle between those six gears. However, new for this refresh, they’re also multi-purpose. The second thing you can do with your paddles is change the level of regenerative braking. If you’re unfamiliar with regen braking, it essentially is the force of which your vehicle slows down when you let off the accelerator. So even if I’m not pressing on the brake pedal, my car is still braking. It’s slowing down. And it’s doing that by using its electric motor, instead of propelling the vehicle forward, when I let off the accelerator, it’s going to spin in reverse and draw some energy back that would otherwise be wasted towards powering your battery or refueling your battery. So, it’s a very, very smart car, and the fact that you can now customize the level of regen makes it far more driver friendly. Any questions about the power plant, let me know in the comments down below, and I’ll make sure to answer them before we end off today’s video. Next up, I want to talk about the wheels. So, the wheels are ex not exclusive to this trim level. They’re exclusive to the hybrid. So, it is a 19inch alloy with a very sharp design. It’s a machine finish with gloss black spokes. Got our Kia emblem in the very center and it’s completely encased. So just an overall cleaner look meant for more aerodynamic and efficiency. For your tire, we got a Continental tire all season and all of our Sarrentos here in Canada are standard with all-wheel drive. Kia uses an all-wheel drive system that has a front-wheel drive bias. So if it’s a regular sunny day and the pavement is dry, your vehicle is primarily frontwheel drive. It’s good for efficiency. However, if it’s a rainy road, snowy road, muddy road, the car will automatically redistribute its torque to give you the traction you need based off the conditions around you. You also have drive mode select, so you can put the vehicle in eco mode, sport mode, or it smart mode. That actually does make some changes to not only the steering input, but also the throttle response, as well as your gear shifts. For your dry or terrain modes, we get snow, mud, and sand as well. Each of those will redistribute your torque to preset amounts. So snow mode will be 8020 split, 80 to the front, 20 to the rear. However, it can drop down to a 50/50 split if you’re traveling slowly or in really harsh conditions. Mud mode and sand mode are 50/50 all the way and allow some more wheel spin to get you out of those sticky situations. All right, for our brakes, we get very large brakes up at the front. They’re ventilated discs, and we also have ventilated disc brakes in the rear. All righty, a couple other safety functions I want to point out. I mentioned the forward facing parking sensors and LEDs. Some people will say LEDs are a nice to have touch, but I will say arguably they’re really good for safety, too. Very precise beam of light, very sharp, and they last a whole lot longer than your traditional H hallogen bulbs. On the topic of active safety, though, in the very center of our windscreen, we have a forward- facing camera. That camera will monitor what’s happening to the vehicles ahead of you. And when you have your smart cruise control on and your lane assist on, it’ll make sure not only is your vehicle centered in its lane, but it’s also going to steer to keep you in your lane. It’s not just going to ping pong you when you start to veer to the left or the right, it’s not annoying, it’s active, or I guess proactive. For your smart cruise control, we have the ability to cycle between four different following distances, each of which feel safe, and you can customize how quickly your vehicle is to react or accelerate. We do have highway drive assist too as well and that will do automated lane changes when you have it active. So a smart or adaptive style cruise control that takes it a few steps further by doing its own lane changes making sure you’re always at a safe distance that you’re centered and it knows the speed limit of the road that you’re on. Mirrors are next. So for your mirrors they are body color. We have a turn signal indicator and there is a slight bit of black along the lower portion just to give a nice dark contrast touch. Along the bottom of the mirror, we have a blind spot view camera that’ll show you exactly what’s happening in your blind spot anytime you go to indicate a lane change or a turn. There’s also blind spot detection. So that can be seen on the actual mirror portion. And that icon will illuminate anytime there’s a vehicle in your left or right blind spot. a lot on just one small section of the car. Now, for your door handles, they may not look too special, but they are. We have proximity entry, and instead of the old-fashioned button style, it’s all done based off touch. So, as long as the key is on me, I’ll put my hand on either the driver passenger front handle, I was about to say windshield. That’s not what I was looking for. And it’ll unlock for me. And then once I’m done driving, I’ll press down there to lock it again. I also have digital key 2 available on the SX model only. that allows you to unlock the car, start it, drive it, and even share access with your friends, all from your mobile device. So, if you’d like to drop your keys, not use them ever, you can totally do that as long as you have a phone with you, a charged phone with you. And then for our roof rails, we have our sleek style satin chrome rails. All of the exterior accents will either be piano black, like we see on our pillars here, or the beautiful satin chrome. Satin chrome is by far one of my favorite elements that Kia has incorporated in their cars. We used to have a dark chrome in the past which looked good except for when you actually purchase the car and incorporate it into your life. It showed fingerprints, scratches, everything. This is far more people friendly. So even if you’re not someone who likes detailing the car every day, this won’t show your fingerprints. It’s not going to show scratches the same way other elements do. Now before we get to the rear, let’s talk about plugging in your car. So on the right hand or passenger side, we have our charge door. Your charge door is opened by pressing on the door itself. So as long as the car is unlocked, it’ll open right up. With plug-in hybrids, you can do level one or level two charging. Sorry, I have the charge door locked right now, so I can’t unplug it. But level one or level two chargers. So level one charger comes with the car, and I’ll show you guys that in a second. Level two you can install at your home if you’d like and that will take your charge time down from, you know, overnight or 11 hours to about four hours or less depending on the output of the charger. Either of which a lot of times with plug-in hybrid users, it incorporates into most people’s lifestyles. So, if you don’t want to install a charger at home, you can get away just fine with the charger that’s provided with the vehicle’s purchase. It doesn’t require any special wiring. So, it’s quite literally just a three-prongong outlet. Plug it into your wall, plug it into your car, and then after work or after your errands, your car is all good. With this charging as well, too, it provides you a 48 km of all electric range. And on a full tank, we have about 650 km. So, if you’re only fueling your vehicle up with gas, 650 km is a good amount of range from the tank, plus that 48 km, you could do a lot with this vehicle. If you don’t plan on plugging it in, that is absolutely no problem. At its core, this vehicle is still a hybrid. It still has an engine and it still runs on fuel. So, you will not be left stranded with the plug-in hybrid unless you don’t put gas in it either. If that’s the case, I really can’t help you. All right. Now, let’s talk efficiency. So, with a full charge or just a charge, any sort of electric range in the vehicle, the combined output, so this will be for highway and city driving is about 3.2 L equivalent or liters electric per 100 km. That is fantastic. Now, if you’re not planning on charging this car every day, and the real world situation will most likely be mainly gas usage, you’re at about 7 L per 100 km. So, still far more f fuel efficient than a regular gas Kia STO. For seating, we have six seats in this vehicle. This is the only seating configuration available. So, two up at the front, two captain’s chairs in the center, and two wide seats in the third row. With both seats up, you have about 357 lers of cargo space. It may not look like it, but I promise you that’s what the Kia brochure said. So, however that looks like to you. If you’re not using the third row seats at all, they’re very easy to knock down. So, you’ll pull on the tether, it’ll knock the headrest down, and the seat is free to fold forward. Nice and easy. If you want to bring it back up, just a nice pull. Comes right back up into place. Both of these rear seats have car seat tethers. And you can see both of our captain’s chairs up front do as well. Now, the best seats in the house is most likely going to be the second row, but I will tell you the third row is completely livable. I have sat in it before for long car rides. My mom has a Sarrento plug-in hybrid, and it’s comfortable. It’s certainly comfortable. A couple things I’ll show you guys while we have this liftgate open. Number one, we have the level one charger that comes with the car. However, underneath we actually have a jack for a spare tire. Lots of plug-in hybrids do not come with this, so this is a huge win for Kia. The tire itself is located underneath the vehicle. We won’t show you that today, but I will talk about what we have on the very rear, and that is our ultrasonic parking sensors. So, we have them on the front, on the rear, and on the sides. And then we have a very crystal clear backup camera. Now, I’ll show you the cameras in action once we hop inside the vehicle, but in the meantime, I’ll just show you guys where it’s located. right underneath the eye and Kia. There’s also an additional camera located right underneath our highmounted stop lamp and that is for your digital rear view monitor. The rear window is completely heated and your rear wiper is housed underneath a spoiler. And like I mentioned earlier, our tail lamps are also full LEDs. Check them out. Now, on the driver’s side, we have our fuel door. This is for regular gas, and all this vehicle needs is regular unled. So, it does not require premium even though it’s a turbo engine. So, fuel savings there. And of course, fuel savings due to the fact that you may not really need to use gas. Uh, to give you guys an ownership perspective, like I said, I don’t have a plug-in hybrid, but my mom does. My mom lives about 30ish kilometers away from home, so she drives to work on largely full electric. In the winter, she will dig into a little bit of gas just because on the highway, she’s driving pretty quickly. And the car is going to tap into its gas engine, not only to give you the power that you need, but also warm up the vehicle. If your commute is largely in the city, though, you may not run into the engine at all. All right, back to what I was saying. For our door, we have a mix of materials. So, a nice metal finish along our door pad here with our memory seats. Now, memory seats are only available in the SX model. Got our satin finish door handles. And then for our windows, each and every single one of them are a one-touch window. That means if I signal it up, oh, there we go. It goes all the way up without stopping. And then if I push it down, there we go. All the way down. So, right over here, we have our mirror fold unfolds. So, you’re power folding mirrors. All of the door materials are finished in a nice soft touch leather with beautiful white stitching. And this is our lighter interior option for the Sarrento. There is also a blue interior option, which we have filmed before if you’re curious to see what that looks like. For the sound system, you get a Bose premium sound in the SX models. And then your driver seat has a ton of configuration. The seating themselves is a nice leather finish, and that is a true leather, not a faux leather. You get a driver knee extender. the bottom of the seat, the back rest, and then your lumbar support. It’s four-way lumbar support, so it’s very easy to find a perfect feeling fit for you. Again, because this is a memory seat, if you do frequently have another driver in your car, you can set your driver profiles and then set your seings on the door panel there. So that way, you don’t have to fight. Left-hand side, we got our brightness adjustment as well as our tailgate release, our traction control, and our fuel door button. So, I already mentioned earlier if you are charging the vehicle, as long as the car is unlocked, you press on the charge door to open it. But if you are fueling up your vehicle, you’ll have to press the fuel door. You can’t press on the fuel door itself, if that makes sense. Your steering wheel is leather wrapped and heated all around. You got your paddle shifters mounted on the back with your media controls on the lefthand side and your driver controls like your smart cruise control, your following distance, and your steering assistance all on the right. Little bit of piano black along the bottom. There’s not too much piano black on this car. So, they listened to what owners were saying. They made the car more convenient and livable. I hate using that word, but it’s the one that always comes to mind. Now, right ahead of me, I have a fully digital instrument cluster. It’s about 12.3 in in width, and it projects everything and anything I need. So, right now, I have it on the range screen, and this car is charging, so that number will go up. We’ve got about 12 km right now with 643 km of fuel ready. If I press this button on my steering wheel, it allows me to cycle between my different views. And I can see my nav route, my lane assist, and then cycle in between my trips. All of this can change based off what you like best, engine temperature, tire pressure, all-wheel drive torque distribution, and then right back to your current driving mode. Now, on the right side, we have our 12.3 in touchscreen display. This main unit is essentially your head unit. On the SX model, you’ll get integrated navigation. What I really want to show you is the PHEV menu. This, of course, will show you how much EV range you have, your battery status, but also where your vehicle is currently drawing power from. So, right now, the vehicle isn’t fully running. It’s not drivable. It’s in accessory mode. So, we’re drawing power from the battery. However, if I were to turn the car on, you would see things would change as I start driving. If I’m braking, I will see power go towards my from my wheels to the battery to charge it thanks to the regener braking. All right, we’ll do a quick look at the vehicle settings menu. I don’t want to go too in depth here just to save some time today, but under our driver assistance menu, we can go in and change some of the active safety functions on the car. So, if you love highway drive assist, but you’re not a fan of the automated lane changes, you can go in and customize it to your preference. Now, this is also handy because you have integrated driver profiles. So, again, if you’re sharing this car and one of you loves active safety and the other doesn’t, you can have all your presets saved to your unique profile. Underneath that, we have our air vents. So, easy to move, easy to use, easy to locate. In the middle, we got our hazard lights. And then this is where people start to get confused. Right now, this is our climate control section. So, I can set my temperature to whatever I’d like. I have separate temp for the passenger, so dual zone. I can also redistribute where the air flow is going to. So, change the direction and change the fan speed. However, now it’s my media, so I can jump into my home screen. I can open up my map and even search within my vehicle. The search function isn’t just for navigation areas. It’s also for settings. So, if I want to change the sound settings of my car, I can type in sound. And once I scroll up after the nav, it’ll show me all of my sound settings and what I can jump into. So, pretty handy if this is your first new car. Below that, we got our heated and ventilated seats. The SX model will feature ventilated seats up at the front as an add-on from the trim level below, as well as heated seats in the rear. There’s a wireless phone charger, multiple USBC’s, and then we got our gear shift. This is a shift by wire gear shift, and it’s also finished with a beautiful I don’t want to say crystal, it’s not real crystal, but unique design within the dial. Cup holders are nice and wide. And then we have our drive and terrain mode select. To change it, you simply twist. You can go between eco, sport, and smart. Then, if you’d like to do terrain mode, you’ll press on the button. And now you can cycle what mode you’d like. Below that, we have our heated steering wheel, auto hold braking, electronic parking brake, and this button here will cycle your car whether you’d like to default to use your EV range first, your hybrid, so your gas engine primarily supplemented by the electric motor, or automatic mode. Automatic mode essentially lets the car decide. Below that is our park view camera. We can press that to summon our 360deree view. However, every time you throw the car in reverse, this comes up automatically. I mentioned this vehicle has a digital rear view, but let me show you. Once I flip this back, I can see everything that’s happening behind my car. There’s my truck, you guys. Look how cute she is. But seriously, that is so much lanes worth of footage. So, if you are driving on a 400 series highway here in Ontario, you can see everything everything happening around you. If you move this mirror, the picture stays fixed. So, however you like to drive, this will always be crystal clear for you. All right, Adam, I’m going to give this back to you. Do you want to go to the passenger side and quickly show the seat? We’ll get a good look at the seating material before Adam hops in. So, this is our light gray leather. It’s almost white on camera, but it’s certainly more gray in person. Again, heated and ventilated for the front here with power options for both. The EX model does not have a power passenger seat. All of your controls will be on the outer portion of the seat. You got your height adjustment. You got your lumbar support. And then, of course, the angle of the back rest. Okay. You might not have to hop in, Adam, but we are going to show it with the sunroof. The panoramic sunroof is a huge improvement. Get it? Huge. This This roof is massive. So, it opens up to about here. And of course, the cover is powered. So, if you’d like to have just the glass open, not actually open air feel, you can do so. You can completely customize it. If you’d ever like the glass to stop at a certain point, all you have to do is push on it and then press again. Then it stops. So, another quick demonstration and it stops nice and easy. All right. Uh, last thing I’ll talk about is the headliner. So, we do have a deluxe headliner on the SX model. Very soft to touch. I know you guys can’t touch it right now, but take my word for it. And gives the interior almost a dark but soft feel. It’s a very comfy cabin. Now, let’s hop in the second row and we’ll take a look at the space. So, anytime we’re dealing with a vehicle with captain’s chairs, you already know things are going to be comfortable for the second row, but they’re also good for the third row, too. We’ll talk about them next. Window sticker. Just going to move that. All right. Now, for the seats, both of these seats are on their individual rail, so they can move freely. If I’d like to move mine a little closer to give the people in the third row more space, I certainly can. I’m going to leave it all the way back though, so that way when I do hop in the third row, you guys see the worst case scenario. These seats have armrest that you can lock into different places. That way, if you are reclining the seat to relax, your armrest is still at a good height. They’ll also both be heated with three different levels of heat per seat. The heated seat button is actually located on the driver door or on the door panel. And then we have our window control. Your cup holders are also on the door panel. And then we have a bottle holder on the bottom. Sound system is Bose all around. So we do get that premium audio experience no matter where you’re sitting. And also integrated into the doors is a sun shade. So this is built into the car. You don’t have to buy any aftermarket accessories. Seamlessly clips on and it also just looks good and covers the entire window. Your lights back here will be full LEDs, so bold and bright at nighttime, but subtle and hidden when you don’t need them on. And then we have our air vents mounted on the back of the center console. There’s also a household outlet just below if you need to plug in any sort of larger device like a laptop. And then a 12volt inverter built onto the backs of the seats ahead of us. We have USBC’s on either side, so driver and passenger, as well as a leather pocket and a mesh net pocket. Now I’m going to hop into the third row. We’ll take a look at the space. I’ll also show you guys the easiest way to get in and out of the third row. So Adam, I might have you hop out of the car for a second. Now the best way to get into the third row is by pressing this button on the shoulder area here. It’s going to make the seat roll forward on its rail and also fold a bit too. So once I press it, you’ll see it in action. It rolls forward and that gives you space to walk in from the door. I’m still going to go through the middle or the hallway of the vehicle just because it makes more sense for me. And we’ll also bring this seat up too so you guys can see the full picture. There we go. All right. So, both seats are up. Again, a huge win of this third row is the fact that they only put two seats back here. They didn’t try to squeeze in a third one because that would be extremely cramped. I’ve got a lot of seat around me on either side. I can sit upright and I have about that much headroom. So, almost a full hand and I have long hand, long fingers. Check them out. For amenities back here, I’m going to grab the camera from Adam again and show you what we’re looking at. And pardon me, you guys. This is going to be a little bit shaky because we have no gimbal today. So, we got our second row power fold button. If I would like to, this is largely if you’re just loading things into your car. I can press on the right and it’ll knock down Oh, wrong side. It’ll knock down the left seat if I press the left. They go completely flat. Now for room. So my feet are underneath the seat ahead of me. And keep in mind, I moved the seat all the way back. However, when the seat was upwards, my knees were not touching, so it was still not in contact with the seat ahead of me. I’ve got USBC’s on either side with a cup holder and a little storage pocket for anything else you might need. And then we’ve got our speakers in the back as well. the window shape and size. I mean, it’s an odd shape for sure, but I still have visibility outside of the vehicle. I still have a little bit of light coming in, so it’s not too dark or cramped back here. Pardon me while I give the camera back to Adam, you guys. All right, so I think that sums up our exterior walkthrough. Curious to see if you guys have any questions. So, we’ll hop out of the vehicle, take a quick look at what came in through the live stream, and answer them for you. Let me get out. Now to get out, you have a good amount of space again with the seat folded forward so I can get out with ease. All right, let’s check it out. I’m pretty sure I gave the horsepower and torque specs. It’s 261 horsepower with 258 pound- feet of torque, 7 L per 100 km combined if you are using Simply Fuel with the supplemention of the occasional EV. The gimbal’s working fine now, so that’s odd. I’m just going to put the camera back on. while we answer our questions. I have no idea what happened today, you guys, but it looks like it’s fine now. Yeah, I think if we just don’t move, everything will be okay. All right, question time. Um, Maserbornne said, “Black headliner.” I approve though. Love a black headliner. I think it’s fantastic. I’ve always liked a very dark cabin in my vehicle. I know some people may not like that and that’s where I think the option of the light gray interior really breaks that up. Gives you the contrast, right? You get a little bit of darkness but a lot of brightness too. Um, given the significant weight of the battery pack, how does the vehicle’s handling and acceleration improve to the standard STO in the STO hybrid? Let me tell you. So, again, I just did a road trip, a road trip to Maine, so a long, long drive in a STO plug-in hybrid. Again, it’s not exactly a light vehicle, but you don’t really feel the weight. Any vehicle that has an electric motor or some sort of electric supplementation. It’s torquy. So, this car is fairly quick off the line. 261 horsepower is also a fairly healthy number, too. That’s a good output for sure. Adam, I don’t know what you think about it, but your sister drives a STO hybrid. Yeah. Um, we not the hybrid electric vehicle, but we do drive the normal hybrid, no plugin. Yep. Um, okay. Yeah, I really like the car actually. I I really do like this car and I think it’s deceptively premium. Like I mean I I’m sure you guys are fans, so you guys know, but I didn’t that Kia can be so luxuryl looking because when I hear Kia, I think more like, you know, default, budget, and affordable, but it’s not just affordable, but premium as well. Yeah, exactly. That was the old Kia. I went through like a glow up, right? Like I I do really like the Sereno specifically and all the newer models I think are really cool. The My favorite is actually the sound system myself. I’m like huge on audio so I love music and stuff. I really like the Bose speakers. I like the quilted leather looking seats. I think they look nice. I saw some They are leather. Yeah. Okay. I didn’t know. I I see some talks about the color. I’m not huge on it either, but there are other interior colors, right? Yeah. So, yeah. I think it’s a really good car actually and it drives really well too. It drives like a luxury SUV. I might take that back from you just to say I love this exterior and interior. This is by far like what I said at the beginning of this video. This is what I would opt for if I was configuring a STO for myself. Um color name and MSRP please. This is cityscape green. So that is the code for the green paint. This is definitely one of our more I don’t want to say unique because that I feel like unique is what people say when they don’t like something. I love it. So, it’s not I don’t want to say it’s a flat color, but it’s not it’s not metallic. It’s not metallicy. So, it is it’s a unique color. On camera, it’s looking like there’s a little bit of blue in it, but I don’t pick that up that much in person. So, yeah, I absolutely love it. I think the contrast of the satin chrome with the gloss black plus a little bit of black plastic cladding. I think it just Yeah. No, it flows very very nicely. The wheels are a great touch as well. Check out those wheels. I like how sharp they are, but they’re not, you know, they’re not crazy. They don’t look out of place on this car. Um, someone asked how reliability has been, and let me tell you, my mom’s car has got I think we have almost around 60,000 kilometers on it now. She’s had it for just over two years. Other than someone hitting her car and it being in the shop for a long time waiting for parts, the car has been fantastic. Seriously, fantastic. Now, in terms of maint maintaining a plug-in hybrid, a lot of it’s going to come down to how much you’re using your gas engine. So, if you are someone who does a lot of your driving around in the city and you’re plugging in your car every day, you’re using your electric motor or your EV range almost entirely. If you’re doing a lot of highway driving or, you know, just driving out of your range, getting into the gas model of the hybrid, then you will have to, you know, do the regular oil change intervals because there’s more power being put on or load being put on the gas engine. Um, I just want to get a few more questions out of the way before we end off today’s video. Oh my gosh, what happened in the car accident? It was actually my brother driving and they were in a roundabout and a trailer hit them for a landscaping company and they just kept driving off like they hit and ran. And it wasn’t my brother’s fault in this. Let me just say that. Anyway, things got it handled. Insurance had it covered. But yeah, she was out of her car for a long time. She was put in a Ford Edge with a V6. She was getting gas twice a week and it was expansive on her plug-in hybrid Sarrento. She gets gas about twice a month. Um, is the hybrid Sarrento without a turbo engine? No. So, they all have the 1.6 liter turbo whether you get gas or the sorry, whether you get the hybrid or the plug-in hybrid. Um, financing question. Are rates like 8.9% on used vehicle, for example, likely to be the way of things for the foreseeable future? Most likely. Unfortunately, yes, most likely. We are seeing some better rates on our new vehicles now, though. So the Kia Nero for example as a hybrid or sorry as a full electric has a 0% finance rate right now and that is a big deal. So things are getting better but for used cars it’s still quite high. All right I will think I will end off today’s video today. Again thank you guys so much for watching. If you have any specific questions let us know in the comments down below. We will see you next time. Bye-bye.
