Proton e:MAS 7 Best Selling Electric Gets Updated

Hi guys, we’re with the Proton EMA 7. The reason we’re with this car right now is because it just got a major update. And the first thing you notice is the new colors. You got obsidian black, which is a permanent new color. So whenever you want your IMA 7, you can option it in black. But there’s two limited edition colors, turquoise green and quartz rose. And those two colors, limited edition, the interiors come in alabaster white. So very very interesting poppy colors but very limited numbers. So act fast if you want a very special looking EMA 7. But exterior colors, interior colors, that’s just cosmetic differences. The real chunk of substance that comes with this update. You’ll find it inside. So follow me. I’ll show you what’s new. Now that we’re inside, before I tell you what’s new, I want to tell you what the EMA 7 had over any of its competitors to begin with. And that is that the infotainment system, this Flyme operating system, this whole unit is powered by an automotive grade chip. And that means it has very high tolerance for heat. So a hot day like this in Malaysian weather, it doesn’t get sluggish. You know, the other competitors, they usually use smartphone chips. And you know, when your smartphone gets hot, the phone slows down, it lags and all that. Well, this car won’t go through any of that. And it’s something that’s hidden. uh and people don’t really talk about it because it’s not really a feature that they can brag too much about, but it’s definitely something to note of. Now, let’s talk about what’s new with the Proton EMA 7. The first thing that a lot of people were talking about was the sound. So, EVs, because they’re so quiet, they have to move with a little artificial sound to warn pedestrians. And the EMA 7 came with a ice cream truck jingle, which a lot of people found a little bit not to their taste. So what they did was uh this AVAS that’s the the system we’re talking about they created three new sounds that’s classical spacew walk and galactic note. Uh now it’s not as loud as that when you’re actually moving. It’s just a sample of how loud it can get. And this is to warn the pedestrians outside. But if you don’t like the noise at all, you can actually turn it off. Uh there’s a whole, you know, it’ll reset after you turn off the car and all that. But, you know, it’s something that you can actually consider if you don’t like that noise. It is a bit loud. And the next big thing that everyone has been anticipating, it’s finally here, Apple CarPlay. Now, the EMA 7 has both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay. And later this year, you’ll also get Android Auto, apparently also wireless. So, you’re going to get a fully featured infotainment unit. So, besides Apple CarPlay and the upcoming Android Auto, we also have a bunch of new apps coming. Vivaldi browser will give you more ways to browse the internet in your car. You also have Zoom for answering and taking video calls in your car. Of course, when the car is parked, please don’t drive and take video calls. And you’ll also get um this other app called Easy Travel. and easy travel kind of gives you the ability to go around and they have the act more like a tour guide for you around Malaysia Chuty Chuty and all that. So, these apps are all coming later this month. And if you already own the Masin, you don’t have to buy a new one to get those apps. You just go into apps and you should find them all there ready to go. And this is a running update, but essentially the live charging map, which is an 7 exclusive feature in Malaysia, is just constantly being updated with new charges. And right now, they have over 3,400 charges, and it’s just getting more and more every every day. So, you can just find your charges here. It makes the IMA 7 one of the easiest EVs to deal with for daily commute. And the next big thing that comes to the IMA 7 is this a tono cover. So this is not some locally designed part that they just shoved in here. This comes from the factory in China and it fits the IMA 7 perfectly. Just goes in there like that. comes out and you’ve got all the right slots and meshes for it to just go in super neat and tidy. Now, if you bought an IMA 7 earlier and you didn’t get this in the update, there’s a free retrofit policy. So, just go to Proton, they’ll give you one of this free of charge. I think that’s a great deal. Now, this thing, I’m telling you, it’s not just some some third party accessory. It’s got like soft padding on the side so it doesn’t scratch up the plastics. It’s got a carbon weave going on and even has Proton Emas the logo embroidered in there. So it’s it’s really the real deal. So all these updates, but that’s not all. Proton are giving you an additional reason to consider upgrading to the EMA 7 and that is the power exchange program. So if you have an older car, you’re worried about your tradein value. Worry not with this exchange program subject to some conditions. They’ll inspect your car and all that. You might get up to 5,000 ringit additional value for your car when you trade in for an MR7. So, you get, you know, your first EV and you get really good value from your old car. So, the Proton Emas dealer network is growing day by day. They’ve got nearly 50 dealers appointed and 35 already operational. You got 26 service centers, 10 body and paint centers. This thing is just growing every time. And on top of that, you got 99% spare parts availability. So you don’t even have to worry about that. So just a ton of reasons to consider the EMA 7 and that is why it’s also the most popular EV in Malaysia right now. But I spent a few days now as you can see the weather has changed and I can tell you this car is really made for Malaysian roads, Malaysian uh conditions because what I realized is the suspension is just made to absorb potholes, speed bumps, things like that. And it does it so so well for a car of this price. If you think about it, the typical Malaysian car buyer spending around 120,000 ringit is still sometimes shopping for cars with, you know, torsion beam rear suspension, but you don’t get that with this car. This is multi-link rear suspension. You get a lot more comfort orientation in the suspension setup. Of course, some people will miss the old uh tuned by Lotus ride and and handling, but you know, for the more mature crowd, I think this SUV crossover behavior is is perfect. Uh family uh friendly in terms of the space and all that. You know, I’m a pretty big guy, but I tried out all the seats and it was perfect uh you know, for a person of my size. So, I think the average Malaysian size, this car is more than big enough. The other thing is that I had a few other people come into the car, a few people who are not really car enthusiasts. Uh, and I asked them to guess the price of this car and everybody without fail estimated around 200,000 for just the spec, the size of the screen, the uh, leather upholstery, the design and all that. This is typically what you get uh, when you spend over 200,000 ringit. But, you know, for 120,000 ringgit, you’re getting this virtually excess duty free. I think it’s phenomenal pricing. So with all these updates and the car itself being such a good package for the price, I think it’s high time all of you who are shopping in the segment looking for your first EV, I think this EV is really the way to go. Proton EMA 7, they’ve really nailed it in all the aspects that matter. I’m Subash from DSFI. Thanks for watching. Bye-bye.

Yes, the all-electric e.MAS 7 has just been lightly elevated with more tech and features that you might imagine.
