Volvo XC60 Plug in Hybrid & EX30 Cross Country & V70 XC
Volvo EX30 | V70 | XC60
New Grille Design: The most noticeable exterior change is a revised front grille, which now features a modern diagonal pattern, mirroring the updated design seen on the larger XC90.
Darkened Taillamps: The rear lights receive subtle darkening shrouds for a more modern look.
New Wheel Options: Fresh wheel designs will be available across all trim levels.
New Paint Colors: Expect new exterior paint choices, including Forest Lake, Aurora Silver, and Mulberry Red.
Larger Infotainment Screen: A significant upgrade is the new 11.2-inch central touchscreen, replacing the previous 9.0-inch unit.
Faster Infotainment System: The new screen is powered by Qualcomm’s updated Snapdragon Cockpit software, promising to be more than twice as fast with significantly improved graphics generation. This system features Google built-in services (Google Maps, Google Play Store, Google Assistant).
Improved User Experience: The new infotainment aims for a more responsive and intuitive experience, reducing driver distraction.
Over-the-Air (OTA) Updates: The vehicle will benefit from OTA updates, allowing for new features and improvements without requiring a visit to a service center. Volvo is even extending this capability to some older models (from 2020 onwards).
Refreshed Materials: The cabin will feature updated decors, inlays, and premium materials like Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave for a more exclusive atmosphere. Optional Nappa leather upholstery will still be available on upper trims.
Enhanced Comfort Features: Expect improvements like quieter cabins due to better insulation (optional laminated windows), refined cupholders, and an improved wireless phone charger. Optional air suspension will also be available for enhanced ride quality.
Audio System: The optional Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system will feature a new speaker grille design for potentially clearer acoustics.
Trim Levels: The same four trim levels are expected: Core, Plus, Ultra, and the Ultra Black Edition.
Mild-Hybrid (B5): The standard powertrain is expected to remain a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing around 247 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. It will continue to come with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
Plug-in Hybrid (T8 Recharge): The powerful plug-in hybrid option (T8) will also continue, featuring a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor, delivering a robust 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque. It’s expected to offer around 35 miles of all-electric range.
