Big Beautiful Bill Impacts Plug In Hybrids and EV’s MAJORLY

The big beautiful bill got signed into law on July 4th. And regardless of how you feel about it, there are some things that you need to know as a car shopper. The number one thing is that the federal tax credit on EVs and plug-in hybrids is going away. That means that the $7,500 tax credit that many manufacturers apply as a discount or a rebate for you when you’re leasing a plug-in hybrid or an EV is going away at the end of September. So, what does that mean? Well, if you are considering an EV or a plug-in hybrid on a lease and you want to take advantage of that $7,500, which is a lot of money, then you only have a little less than 3 months to do it. I’m not entirely sure of what details I can speak on here, but let me tell you this. Within hours of that bill getting passed, Mercedes-Benz stepped up to the plate and is giving dealers some extra love to help get these EVs and plug-in hybrids on the road.
