This feature-packed plug-in hybrid SUV from China costs less than an entry-level Audi Q5!
Welcome to the new Amoda 9, which is the range topping Amoda in Cher’s Chinese luxury brands lineup at the moment. And I have to say, very nice allwheel drive plug-in hybrid, 93 miles of electric running. That is mad. But I’m sat here because I want to show you a little detail. Sometimes it’s the details that make a difference. This is a car, after all, that wants to compete with Lexus, Volvo, Mercedes, Audi, BMW. It’s all very luxury. So, electrically reclining rear seats. That’s pretty much spot on, isn’t it? Very luxury. But look at this. It has to be said, very Mercedes-esque uh switch gear here. This absolutely nothing. Doesn’t do anything. It’s completely fixed. It’s just a dummy switch, which is just there to frustrate you, I think. So, you keep proddding it and it nothing. Absolutely nothing. So, that I think you wouldn’t get in a Mercedes or an Audi or a BMW or a Volvo or the like because it’s just a bit weird, isn’t it? And doesn’t that just sort of take the edge off the luxury feel even if you have got standard heated and cooled rear seats which is very good. So actually don’t mind this car. It’s quite quite a lot to say quite interesting but yeah there’s still a few little details that just lets it down. Anyway, check out the full review on CarGuru’s UK YouTube channel.
