How To Set Up Digital Key Plus On Android Using Setup Card | BMW How-To
With the BMW Digital Key Setup Card, you can:
– Set up your Digital Key
– Link your vehicle to your BMW ID
– Activate your profile in your BMW
Getting Started:
– Hold the Setup Card to your phone’s NFC antenna
– Tap the message to open the welcome screen in the My BMW App
Don’t have the app?
– Download the My BMW App
– Create or log in to your BMW ID
– Or scan the QR code on the back of the Setup Card
Authorize and Link:
– Hold the Setup Card to your phone again when prompted
– Press “Continue” to link your BMW to your BMW ID
Finalize in the Vehicle:
– Enter the vehicle with your physical key and smartphone
– In the My BMW App, tap “Finalize Setup”
– Your Digital Key is now stored securely in your phone’s Wallet
You’ll receive a notification on both your device and in your car
You can also add the key to a compatible smartwatch
Activate Your BMW ID:
– Confirm on your device
– In your car, press “Change BMW ID” to link your profile and settings
Setup complete. Store the Setup Card in a safe place such as at home.
Your BMW is now connected to the My BMW App, giving you access to remote controls and additional features when you’re near the vehicle. You can unlock and start your car using just your phone — no need to take it out.
Unlocking with the Digital Key automatically activates your personal BMW ID settings.
