The Creta electric is probably the best Creta you can buy today, but it’s not going to seem like that because of a few things. Here are three things to keep in mind. First, the value proposition. It’s not as strong as it could and should have been. It costs about 5 lakh rupees more than the regular Credo, which is reasonable, but that also means it’s priced in contention with other strong EV offerings like the Windsor electric. The topsp spec variant of which is available at the price of the base spec. Also, the topsp spec variant of the Greta ends up being right up there with the Harrier electric, and that will make you wonder whether it’s a good choice or not. Second, the Creta electric is going to be a great choice because of how it drives. It feels like a solid and sophisticated car, because of how the motors are tuned, because of how the cabin feels, well finished, and how the suspension is tuned, which makes it feel like a complete car. There are some trade-offs, of course, because of the battery pack, the slightly less support in the back seat, and for taller occupants, this might be an issue. Third, the Kreta Electric though will not feel all that special when you’re thinking about EVs, and this is because it doesn’t feel like a new age car. It feels quite normal like the Kreta Nline, in fact. And in the cabin, its look and feel is just like the regular Creta, and so is its equipment list. So, it doesn’t have that techy, futuristic feel to it. It feels pretty normal.
