Can A Hybrid Be Fun? 2026 Corvette E-Ray Mountain Drive!

What’s up, guys? Today we are taking a look at the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray. This thing is a pretty sweet spec. Carbon ceramic brakes, gorgeous interior, awesome blue color. We’re going to have quite a few cool videos on this car. Today’s video, we’re going to put some of the performance tech to the test on a fun country road. Going to see how well this performance car actually is with its handling. This is a hybrid, so we have an electric motor system up on the front axle. Got the standard Stingrays V8 in back. So that is the rearwheel drive portion, but then we have the all-wheel drive design throughout the hybrid system. But this will be a pretty cool car to check out. Sweet interior, as you can tell, got all the cameras set up. But yeah, take a look at today’s full YouTube video. Is the -ay still a worthwhile sports car? Does the hybrid stuff make it better? I’m sure it’s going to be a blast. But take a look at today’s video live now on the -ay on some fun mountain roads.

👋 Today we take the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray through some fun mountain roads! The newest E-Ray is a hybrid assisted naturally aspirated V8 with AWD! The 2026 E-Ray packs a 6.2L V8 sending the engines power to the rear wheels. It also has an electric motor driving the front wheels bringing total power to 655 HP and 595 TQ. 0-60 can even be as quick as 2.5 seconds! When you put your foot down the Corvette E-Ray is a fast car! Especially with the all wheel drive, traction is fantastic! The electric motos supplement the engine perfectly and just give you immense amounts of power. What’s fantastic is that you never have to even think about charging the battery. While there are some plug in hybrid supercars and average cars, the E-Ray is unique since it operates more like a standard hybrid. But still offers enough electric only range to leave your house and drive quietly through the neighborhood. This car way always staying charged while we drove hard. I really think this is the perfect amount of EV tech for a sportscar. Non of the sacrifices a PHEV will give you like having to charge it all the time. But you still get just enough electric benefits. While the E-Ray still weighs about 400 pounds more then a Stingray, it was nimble through the turns and was just a blast. For not even being Corvette fan boys, the 2026 Corvette E-Ray is a very well worth car to look at! We had a blast driving it through the mountain roads and just enjoyed every minute in this car!
