2025 Perodua QV-E electric car – a new era has begun! – AutoBuzz
[Music] Bird has launched its first ever EV and it’s called the QV. Dubbed Malaysia’s first homegrown EV. Let’s check it out. In terms of dimensions is 4.1 m long, 1.8 m wide, and 1.5 m tall. So when you compare it with something like the Purdua Artiva, it is longer, wider, but not as tall as the Artiva. In terms of wheelbase, it measures 2.6 m long with a ground clearance of 158 mm. In terms of lighting, it’s LED front and back with a light bar at the front here. Similarly, at the back as well, you get sequential turn indicators at the front and back. As for the headlamps, it comes with the auto highbeam feature. And elsewhere with the car, you get 18-in wheels and even a V2L function to power electronics when you’re say outdoors on a picnic or even camping. As for color options, you are limited to just two, ice blue and caviar gray. You get a single electric motor to drive the front wheels producing 204 horsepower and 285 Newton meters of torque. There are three different drive modes, eco, normal, and sport. And in sports mode, zero to 100 is done in 7.5 seconds. Top speed is 165 km an hour. And with a CATL sourced 52 kWh battery, Buda says the QV can do up to 445 km based on the NEC testing standard. In terms of charging, Buda says you can get the QVE to go from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. In terms of charging, it can take 6.6 kW AC charging and DC charging up to 60 kW. In the cabin, you get two 10-in screens, one in front of the driver, one for your infotainment systems. As for the infotainment one, you get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Voto together with a surround view monitor. Aside from the surround view monitor, you also get a tire pressure monitoring system display, six speakers, a digital video recorder, and a wireless charger. As for the upholstery, you get a mix of leather and fabric with a very interesting texture with ISOIX fixtures at the back. The one thing that really stands out in this front section is this rotary dial that is used as a drive selector. On the safety front, the QV is also quite well equipped. Comes with six airbags, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking with blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, front collision warning, and even rear cross traffic alert. The other unique safety feature is that inside the cabin, it comes with an SOS button just above the rear view mirror. Hit on that button and you’ll be immediately connected with Peruda’s call centers and the National Emergency Rescue Center. The other unique safety feature is that it comes with the child presence detection system where it detects movement or even breathing of a child in the rear section. The system works in both daylight or nighttime between temperatures of -40 to 85°. As for the price, the Burdoa QV goes for 80,000 ringit with a battery leasing program. Technically, you own the car, but Buruda owns and controls the battery pack. This is because Peroda says this can help lower the cost of down payment, insurance, help protect the resale value of the car and most importantly it is so that Budoa can dispose of the battery carefully and sustainably at the end of its life.
