[Music] Scramblers have a great following among riders who prefer a confident riding position for city environments and good handling on unsurfaced roads and dirt trails. Today we’re talking about ebike manufacturers that are preparing new scramblers for 2025 and 2026. Terra Prime. When the market is dominated by mass-roduced products with many plastic parts, it’s quite surprising to see an ebike that’s not only handbuilt, but contains durable parts that can take a beating. The Colorado-based Terraikes have been in business of creating batterypowered scrambler motorcycles for almost 5 years now. Their Terra Prime model is DOT approved, so it can be used on public streets as well as on off-road tracks. The two-wheeler features a chromy steel frame, a mid-mounted electric motor, an aluminum housing hiding a battery pack behind a decorative horizontal preparation, and an adventure oriented long travel suspension. The buyers can choose between a 32 A, 50 A, or 70 A battery pack. With the standard battery, the Terra Prime weighs 155 lb, while the largest battery option raises the weight to 190 lb. Regardless of the chosen battery pack, you’re getting a motor with 14.4 4 kW peak power capabilities and a 60 mph top speed dab 1 alpha x. It was only a matter of time before this French manufacturer of sleek electric super motos announced a new model. This time it’s an electric scrambler that adopted rugged components but didn’t fully abandon the brand’s luxury aesthetics. One Alpha X has a clean blacked out look. Knobby Pirelli tires on 17in spoked wheels, premium adjustable suspension with TIN gold treatment, upcycled carbon fiber fenders, Brembo brakes, and a handcrafted Alcantara seat. This 275lb machine uses an 11 kW motor and a 7.1 kWh battery. With a peak 25.5 kW output, the motor grants an 80 mph speed, while a 90 m distance can be covered before the battery charge runs out. J2R Dynamics SMO. French companies are picking up the pace in the design and production of electric motorcycles. This year, a company called J2R Dynamics is preparing a new ebike for production. Their cityoriented bike weighs 220 lb, has a 54 1/2 in wheelbase, and a 31in seat height. The model is powered by a specially developed lightweight motor that’s hidden inside the rear wheel hub. The motor is good for 8 kW of continuous and 35 kW of peak output with two 4 kWh battery packs. It can cover up to 105 mi on a charge while boasting 68 mph top speed capabilities. You may now pre-order the bikes for 500 and the company is planning to start shipping the bikes to their potential customers in 2025. [Music] [Music] Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6. Royal Enfield used EICMA show floor to not only unveil their first highly anticipated electric motorcycle, but also a separate EV brand called the Flying Flea. Scheduled for a market debut in 2026, the Flying Flee C6 will preserve Royal Infield’s retro spirit by using an exposed aluminum frame, rounded lights, a leather saddle, and a unique girder suspension setup and offer all-terrain riding capabilities in a lightweight package. As of today, the brand hasn’t disclosed its main performance characteristics and motorcycleycling components besides a specially developed vehicle control unit, a battery protected by a magnesium enclosure, lean angle sensing, ABS, a cruise control system, a round touchscreen TFT display, and quick charger with a three pin plug. At the end of the show, the company execs teased the upcoming S6 model that looks like a lightweight electric scrambler. [Music] Trevor Motorcycles Vince. The Belgian Trevor Motorcycles, known for making lightweight minimalist ebikes, announced their second model called the Vince. The model debuts with scrambler aesthetics, a blacked out body with an upright seating position, and wide handlebars. Targeting riders who want to combine urban commuting with occasional off-road getaways, the Vince uses an 11 kW motor and a 5 kWh battery pack. The motor peaks at 22 kW, transferring its output through a Gates belt drive and promising upwards of 60 m of whisper quiet rides. [Music] Velociferero Race X. This is a scrambler styled electric scooter created by renowned Italian designer Aleandro Tatarini. It offers the performance of 125cc IC models, but comes powered by a rearwheel electric motor linked to a 6.5 kWh battery pack good for 105 mi. The motor rated for 9.5 horses of continuous output also produces 162 lb feet of torque and ensures bike speeds of over 65 mph. The model gets comprehensive LED lighting and an informative LCD display measuring 5 in in diagonal. The Race X rides on mismatched 17 front and 15 rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Roll STR rubber. Your comfort on the road is delivered by an inverted telescopic front and a rear monoshock. While stopping is fast and safe thanks to 320 mm dual disc brakes with four piston calipers. This joint project of the Ukrainian company’s Geon and EMGO technology borrows styling cues from one of Geon’s gas powered two-wheelers and features a high visibility tubular frame, a rounded LED headlamp and standard all-terrain tires. Its powertrain is represented by a 21.5 horsepower electric motor that’s wired to 8.8 kWh battery packs with LG cells. Depending on your riding speed, the manufacturer claims from 65 to 130 m on a single charge. At its fastest, the Scramper can move at 75 mph. There’s also four-speed transmission that works similarly to a regular gearbox and offers better control over the power delivery. [Music] [Music] Vintage Electric Bikes is a Californiabased manufacturer of electric bicycles that combine exciting retro looks with modern powertrains. Three of the company’s flagship products will be sold with a 72vt electrical system. With this upgrade, the new vintage electric bikes will have twice as much torque and a significant improvement of the 5 to 30 mph acceleration time. The 72vt performance line will also come with a larger 1,152Wh battery pack that can provide up to 75 mi of riding. It will also support fast charging and can be fully replenished in just 3 hours. Please note that in order to make their bike street legal, the manufacturer created two power modes. The city riding mode would restrict throttle power to just 20 mph, while the off-road racing mode would unlock the full potential of the 4 kW powertrain and would let you sprint to the top speed of 40 mph. One may say that scramblers need to be ready for faraway explorations, dirt tracks, and muddy trails, thus implying a need for a long range. Today, however, many manufacturers are focusing on riders who don’t require long trips through the mixed terrain but would rather enjoy a scrambler-inspired bike with light weight and great maneuverability. As a result, such models are perfect for urban commuting.
