2025 SURRON ULTRA BEE is HERE!

What time did he say he was going to come? like 12:30 My 2025 SURRON ULTRA BEE Is in that building. We’ve been waiting for. What about a month? No 2 months? (Almost 2 months.) 2 months. I prepaid him 2 months ago for the bike. And finally Taiwan got their bikes. So, yeah, he’s going to meet us here and we’re going to pick it up today. I want to do a size comparison and line all the bikes up. That would be really interesting because a lot of you guys have been asking me about the different size of the bikes. For somebody my height, I’m about 5’11 and a helf just under 6ft. So they have what carbon black and does are brown. 2025 ULTRA BEE Finally, a bike my size. I was going to take the graphics off of it, but I might leave them on for a bit. They look not bad. Let’s line them all up and do a size comparison. So, what do you say we load it up in the van? I’m wondering how those pegs are going to fit with our Moto Cinch. Oh, yeah. I think it’s going to fit. No problem man. Now, look at this. (Your tie down system looks better.) (And light.) Yeah. Very light. Easy. And two bikes. No problem. Custom. Yeah. It has a steel plate on the bottom. Hey, I really appreciate it. (Thank you.) We’re going to put your website on YouTube channel. So anybody in Taiwan looking for a SURRON. Now you know the place to come on Taiwan. Yeah, yeah. SURRON Taiwan. Yeah. Xie Xie. All right, let’s get out of here. Go check this thing out. Oh, man. So glad I got the gold. Looks way better. Right? I mean, I have a plastics kit for it, so I don’t know how long those are going to last, but at least for the beginning. I’ll leave this black and gold on. It looks pretty nice. So this one’s the carbon black. And the other one was a desert brown. Ah kind of wasn’t down with that brown frame. I’m more of a black kind of guy, so I just got the black one. Looks good with the gold graphics. Not a bad looking bike. Now for 2025. SURRON made some nice updates. Now it’s sporting an 18 inch rear wheel. It can run up to 21kW using the turbo mode peak. It also has an improved motor. It’s more efficient. It can handle the heat better. Has this new goal fork. It’s about 50% stiffer, they say, than 2024 version. Another thing I like about this bike is it has these more moto style brakes, which I think are better for a heavier bike. I like these moeo brakes, man. It feels way more heavy duty than those hopes. Has this nice parking lock, on it for the rear wheel. Never had that on an e-bike before. And SURRON. Calls these control switches the left and right combination switches. Over here is the headlight, high beams and the headlight on and off switch. Got a horn and this R/T button. Is the reverse. But it also is the turbo. And this one down here is for when you’re overtaking oncoming traffic. And I think this can toggle between your high beam and your low beam on your headlight. And this is going to be your traction control button. Over here is the mode switch. It’s got Sport Daily and Eco and you can just switch it right there. And this is the motor stop switch which is a safety feature on the bike. Will basically disengage the motor when the bike’s not in use. Over here is the ready switch. This button is needed to do some of the programing on the controller. And also when you first turn the bike on to get the throttle to work, you need to hold this and ready the bike. And it also has this steering lock right here, which is actually good for like our Moto Cinch, the tie down system in the van, because sometimes I don’t want the wheels turning because we have other gear in there. So this would be a great way to lock the steering. Now, in Sport mode, this thing is capable of 21kW, but it’s only for about 10 sec bursts. And you have to use that turbo button to do it. I’m kind of not a fan of that. I think eventually I’ll change the controller to a TORP, but for now I want to test it as is. I really want to test this bike Just like it is. Stock suspension. Stock wheels set up. and then gradually I will start to mod it as we go. I have some other mods here that I’m going to do to it, and probably the second video. I have.. nice FLOW WHEELS set up 18/21 over here and I have new pegs. WARP 9. Now I have some adjustable peg mounts that I’m going to put here by WARP 9 and I can move the pegs up and down around 25mm with those, because I did notice when I first sat on the bike, the leg room for the knees is still a little bit cramped, and I’m about almost 6 ft like just shy of 6 ft. So I think I would probably lower those just a tiny bit. And also, you know what’s cool about this ULTRA BEE man? It has a storage compartment under the seat. Like we can take if I want to take like some water or maybe the speed gun or some tools or whatever, you can just take this off and check this out. Has a storage compartment right here. And it can actually fit that 11a charger. If I want to take the bike far and I need to charge it when I get there. Can take the charger. It’s nice. Even has a tool kit that you can take with you man. Check that out if you’re out riding. and you need to fix something. Stays right on the bike too. And has these hooks. That’s different than the other bikes. And here you got a 74v.. 60a power battery which has plenty of range in my opinion. Pretty sure that’s new for 2025. Big, thick, beefy cables Don’t need to worry about anything melting, I think, but we’ll see. Let’s check out the controls. So to start on the left combination switch, this one is your headlight on off switch. And this one will toggle between high beam and low beam. And also there’s another one back here that can toggle.. the high beam and low beam. with just a click. And I guess that’s good if you’re passing somebody and you don’t want to kill them with your lights, when you start the bike to use it, you need to first, enable the motor stop switch and then press the ready button. And then you will see ready and also a turbo available. Because I’m on the Sport mode. Now the turbo function is only, available. when you’re using the Sport mode. It’s not available in Eco or Daily, and you can change those different performance modes over here on the right combination switch, they’re clearly marked S, C and D for Sport, Eco and Daily. And also this ASR button is on the left side combination switch. And that can toggle your traction control between 3 levels. This bike has traction control and it has ABS. Now let’s check out the system feature mode settings menu. And we can do that by turning the bike on and pressing the ASR and ready buttons for approximately 2 sec. And now you see I’ve entered the system feature mode settings. Now I can use the ASR key to cycle between all the different menu items. And then you use the ready key to cycle between all the different levels of that menu item. This one is a break region feature. It’s the brake energy level and there are 5. This one is the coast energy. It’s another brake region feature. This is the ASR which is the traction control. There are 3 levels. This one.. is the brake override. You can either enable or disable it. That’s another region feature C is the tilt protection. You can enable or disable it. F is the throttle sensitivity. There are 3 levels. That’s going to make it a little more torquey at the beginning of the throttle range. T is the diagnostic report function. You can either enable or disable it. L is the crawl mode. There are 3 level settings, and U is the charging power, and it can be set as high as 1100w. On the third setting. And that’s it. There’s only 9 settings that can be changed. And now today I’m going to leave everything at 100% default settings, because I really want to see how this bike performs at stock. So what do you think we get this thing all back together man, and get it out and take it for the first ride. (Let’s go.) I can not wait. Now I’m going to keep it stock for the first.. first ride, maybe for the first week or two. Then I ride it because I really want to ride it stock just as it is before I start doing my mods. But I got a lot planned for this thing for sure. (You need the stand.) No. I got this nice kickstand, man, but that’s coming off first video. (You hate kickstand.) Yeah. but for today we have a kickstand. All right, man, you ready to go? Hit it. Let’s go. Oh, yeah. This thing has no power, in Eco, whatsoever, but it’s really smooth. Like, if I was to give this bike to somebody who never rode an e-bike before, for the first time. I can use the motor stop switch so I can’t pump the throttle. So every time I do, the motor stops, which I have to ready back with the other button. All right, now it’s in Daily. It’s still too slow. Yeah. So right now I got it in Sport mode. My first impression is it’s slow. It’s like my E RIDE PRO. will destroy this thing. But that being said, this would be awesome for the jump park or that motocross track because those bikes my E RIDE PRO, I think I had too much power set and I couldn’t get up those big jump, you know, without the back, the tire sliding out because it was so rocky and hard, (too powerful.) too powerful. But this has got a smoother torque ramp. So like basically kind of the way it works is I just double pump it and it’s the T starts flashing and you can feel the power is there only for the time that it’s flashing. Then once it starts flashing, it goes away. It’s like you’re playing it. It’s like you’re using nitrous in a racing game. (Yeah.) Just over and over again. That’s what it felt like. Sport mode. Turbo power is still way less than my SURRON or my E RIDE PRO, but that was kind of expected. However, I think adjusting the throttle might improve some of that. Starting to work on the bike a lot. I just want to give it a little more pop when I go to wheelie it and it’s got three 3 settings on it. Oh. Sorry man. Sorry, man.**** I didn’t realize it was gonna spray so much. (So much.man!) Oh my God, you okay? I just felt it go pushhh And I was like, oh, no. And I heard dik dik dik… I think once I put the 18/21 wheels set up on it, I’m really going to love it. It still feels good though. Let’s see. Nice graffiti over here. I can’t wait till some shows up in our jump park. This is kind of like a similar location as to where we have our jump park. It’s under one of these bridges. I need to change the bars. This rise is too low. I don’t like the position of my body. I’m way too far forward. This has got to come up. Like here for sure. I want to be like you’re not here. So, number one, we got to fix that. The number two, I need to adjust that throttle sensitivity. It needs more. More pop in the front. I don’t really care about the top end. I just want more pop for wheelies. But, I don’t know, it’s pretty sick. I still got a lot of battery left, man. Jeez. You know, I’m riding it. Sort of like how I ride my bikes. And I’m expecting there to be a lot bigger torque pop. But I can definitely change that in the settings. I think I will put it on maybe 2 to go in between both bikes, like, because I don’t want to change my other bikes. I like them really quick like that, but this is pretty good. But you know, I got to pull it a little bit more at higher speed. Imagine this thing with a TORP controller on it. So yeah, really digging this bike, the power level is not nearly as close as my SURRON or my E RIDE PRO. but of course those bikes are heavily modded and the power to weight ratio is really much better on those. This bike is 195 lbs, and less power, so for sure it’s not going to feel as torquey. Also, I feel a little bit cramped at my knees like my knees are a little too bent. So I’m thinking I’m going to drop these peg mounts about 20 or 25mm, with those WARP 9 brackets. And I’m also going to change these pegs to some WARP 9 to get some better grip, because these are a little bit slippy. And for the first ride I think it’s pretty cool. So there’s lots more to come on this one. I got a lot of mods planned for it. I guess that’s going to do it for this video. See you guys in the next one! Peace.

In this video, I pickup my new 2025 SURRON ULTRA BEE from the local SURRON dealer and take it back to the studio to check out all its new features. Afterwards, we take it for the first fully stock ride to learn the controls and get a feel for the bikes bigger size and weight.
