Hero Vida VX2 First Look

Hello and welcome to car and bike. This is the new Hero Vida VX2 electric scooter which was launched some time back but now it’s here in the flesh. We are riding this today but we’ll can tell you how it rides and everything. Our opinions on the 12th of July at 12:00 noon. But for now we can tell you what is different, what are the variants, what are the prices, range, performance, all the facts and figures of this VX2 electric scooter. Now this is offered in two variants. We only have the topsp spec variant here which is called a VX2 plus. And in terms of design, the lower spec VX2 go looks exactly the same, but instead of the plus, you will see a go badge there. There are a couple of more differences in appearances. You won’t get the front disc brake on the go. And on the plus, you get a 4.3 full color TFT console. On the go, you will get a LCD console. Now under the seat you get two removable batteries on the plus with a total capacity of 3.3 kilowatt hour. On the go you get 2.2 a single battery pack but on the go you get more underseat storage space of 33 L. On the plus you get 22 L of underseat storage space. So on the go you get more unseat space because of a single battery pack there. Apart from that, what’s different? Of course, this one gets three ride modes. You get eco, ride, and sports mode with maximum performance of 80 km/h in sports mode. But on the go, you don’t get the sport mode. You only get eco and ride. And top speed also in the go is 10 km/h less, 70 km/h top speed. The plus is 80 km/h claimed top speed. And what has also changed because of the battery pack is the range. This one has a claimed IDC claimed range of 142 km maximum range and the go gets an IDC claimed maximum range of 92 km. That’s the claimed maximum range. Uh apart from that, what is important is how are these scooters priced? Now you can buy both the VX2 plus and the VX2 go in two ways. Either you buy the whole scooter with the battery pack. That pricing is roughly about 1 lakh rupees. It’s a introductory price and if you buy battery as a service which is you pay as you go depends on how much battery you use that pricing is roughly about 58,000 introductory price. on the go battery as a service you can buy the scooter for only 45,000 rupees and with the battery pack on the go the introductory prices are about roughly 85,000 rupees or 89,000 rupees so those are the introductory prices eventually once the introductory prices are over on the VX2 plus you will end up spending 1 lak 10,000 for this with the battery pack and if you opt for battery as a service you will need to spend about 65,000 on the VX2 plus. Similarly on the go also the prices will increase on the once the introductory offer ends. Now the VX2 plus is available in this whole different uh color schemes. This one is called the Jallo lime. Very nice matte finish yellow color scheme. You also get a base uh sort of black, pearl black. It’s called gloss black. And here you get a gloss red which is called pearl red. And here it is called the Nexus blue. Again gloss blue. And this one is a matte finish gunmetal gray. That’s also another option. And this is the matte inspired white. And finally we have what is called the autumn orange. So seven colors in all for a VX2 plus. Out of this only three colors will be available for the base VX2 go. And apart from that you get a whole lot of features. You get an app which gives you everything from onboard diagnostics, over the updates, overthe-air updates and whatnot. So you get a whole long list of features on the My Vida app and how you opt for battery as a service. You can go check out the VA website. Everything is written there. You can opt for different packs. But what you end up paying is you end up paying depending on how much kilometers you want to which subscription plan you want to opt for it’ll cost you anything between 90 pes per kilometer going up to 1 rupees 24 pes per kilometer over and above what you pay for it. So eventually the VX2 plus you’ll have to shell out 65,000 but now it’s available for 58,000. How does it ride? What does it feel like? What is the performance like? What is the ride quality like? And is it worth that kind of money? And is it worth going for battery service? Should you go for the entire scooter? All that we’ll talk about in our first ride review.
