BYD Tang L / Sealion 8 – BYD’s Big SUV Is Going Global
BYD’s global expansion continues unabated and the next model to make its way around the world is the Tang L, which will be known as the Sealion 8 in international markets.
A three-row, 7-seat, plug-in hybrid or electric SUV, the Tang L packs all of BYD’s latest tech in, including Megawatt charging, a 580kW rear motor, God’s Eye B autonomous driving package, and even a drone. We drove the hybrid, which isn’t quite as powerful, and doesn’t charge as fast, but it is the one that’s going to countries like Australia and New Zealand later this year.
