Title is only half serious; my ’91 Dodge Spirit R/T is uncommon and boring enough that I get to drive around and never get bothered by strangers about it.
On the other hand…I never get bothered by strangers about it! Every once in a while I think how cool it must be to have a car that’s popular enough to get that kind of attention. đ

Thatâs a nice looking car. I always thought so, even as a kid. Howâs the mpg?
I dont know why but i loved these cars and that color scheme. Bad Ass
nice! my first car was a dodge shadow with 2.2L turbo and it was fun but i bet it’s an ox cart compared to this. yours is the lotus built engine according to wikipedia and has like 70hp over my old shadow. had no idea these even existed.
must be a blast to drive!
Sure does. Turbo. Manual.
Itâs the strangers đ
20 years ago I would not have been faintly interested. Now – yes, thatâs cool and I love the wheels. Perfect match to the car.
Perfect sleeper
I have some history with those
Really fun car
Dodge Spirit R/T. My dad had one new in red. He still has the build sheet somewhere. I remember him taking me out and telling me how âany one can go fast on a flat road or downhill, but only a fast car can go fast uphillâ. We then proceeded up a steep bridge over the channel. He slowed down to about 20 then hit it. We were at 100 before the top of the bridge. What a ride! Itâd be over 20 years before dodge did anything like that car again.
I had its sister vehicle, a Plymouth Acclaim. That thing never gave me trouble but it wasnât too secure; I was able to unlock the door with a Ford key.
This is a great cool sleeper car for car folk. Average person on the street isn’t going to care, but when you do get that person who knows what it is, they’re gonna be real chuffed to see a hella clean ’91 Spirit.
And that is waaaaaaaay more valuable than an unending queue of twenty-somethings asking “Is that a Supra?!”
Love Supras, but not all of their fans!
Unicorn!
As soon as I saw the badging…. I knew that’s not your average Spirit! I have a 88 Daytona Shelby Z.. not a sleeper, but still fun!
Dodge Shadow ES, with the 2.2 liter turbo motor.
