   I think Americans would be a lot more open to them if they opened a plant in the US too. Not just assembly of kits, but also sourcing and manufacturing of components as well.

   Edit: I’m referring to cars, not buses. (Before someone points out “they already have one”…)

   2014 : BYD makes cheap cars not satisfying safety standards for 3 world countries, Annual sales 430K

   2024 : BYD plans to open plants in Mexico, Brazil, Vietnam and Hungary, Targeting 4 Million EV sales in 2024.

   Yes and 51% ownership should be granted to a local partner in France, same as china requires for foreign companies setting up in china.
