Complete ground up restoration with the most stunning new paintwork and red leather interior……finishing it off to perfection. It will be a show car only now just too good for the roads im afraid.

  1. 5 zeroes and you can’t drive it anywhere any longer? Hard pass

  2. Beautiful e type. I can never see one without thinking of the movie Harold and Maude.

It’s beautiful! I could not let it sit! I would have to drive it!

Wow, interesting colour. Was that offered from factory ? I like it, the car of my dreams as a young man. Very nice.

Beautiful. Please insure it for it’s worth or replacement cost….

Shame she won’t be driven like she’s meant to.

I was fortunate to be at the 50 year anniversary of the E-Type at Goodwood Park. So so many jags that a record was set for the length of the parade of them. I will never forget the race where so many of these expensive beauties were being driven to their utmost. One driver frequently was cornering on 3 wheels trying to gain speed.
OP, Enjoy your beautiful car as you choose. Perhaps after a while you’ll enjoy a few Sunday afternoons in the countryside

I appreciate your passion. Thanks for sharing. It’s a fine example.

Ten or so years ago I was at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut for historic races & there was a team there (can’t remember the name) that had two (maybe three) gorgeously ferocious E-types that dominated all the heats they were in, and they raced the balls off of those things. Probably had fuck-you-helicopter money to do it, but still, that car should be racing one way or another – they were very similar to what these guys do – [https://www.mandcwilkinson.com/racing](https://www.mandcwilkinson.com/racing)

That’s one smokin’ ride. I close friend of mine bought one new in ‘65 and gave me a ride around one evening. Thought my head would explode it was so cool. He turned some heads for sure ‘cause we were still both teenagers, 19 maybe. He was a somewhat famous touring musician, i was the plebe sidekick.

Beautiful car. I was lucky enough to see a 1967 XKE about 20 years ago parked across the street from me. Took a photo but sadly don’t have it anymore

Here’s an option….leave it garaged, temp controlled and secure. Truck it to shows, and when you feel spicy truck it to the closest track. you may still get a rock chip or two, but a comfortable thrill of driving it. I understand you absolutely.

  14. My grandfather inherited one from a man because he used to work on it for free. I helped him change the rear brake cylinders once. Car slipped on the jack stands and almost took me out 😬 He eventually sold it and the guy who bought it almost immediately crashed it ☹️

The car Mr Ferrari had to admit was beautiful for its time…
