The [fold-down passenger screen](https://youtu.be/rvBjaeeG9s0?t=178) on all the Deepal/Qiyaun cars makes so much sense. I really hope this is something other brands are looking at copying instead of the dashboard screens they’ve all been pursuing.

I love wheelsboy; I really wish he’d stop soyfacing in his youtube thumbnails though
I gotta say, the Zeekr Minivan is lovely. The colour, the seats, the doors. Just everything works

Sorry, not very well versed in the EV market outside of North America. I see allot of attention of EVs on this sub from China. I don’t know much about China EVs but I do know allot of them are not available outside of China. Is that correct?

The IRA is a godsend for legacy US auto but also the deathnail for any of these coming to the U.S. I hope the IRA works but given what is coming out of legacy U.S. auto, I am not so sure they are going to pivot in time to make EVs people want to buy.
That convertible truck is perfect for my use case! Does not look like it will last 20 years but I love the form factor.

Not sure why but none of those cars are attractive to me.

The show’s vibes appear similar to the 2001 Detroit Auto Show I attended as a kid; cool, provocative concepts. I remember seeing the VW Microbus, Plymouth Prowler, Dodge T-Rex, Ford EX, and Cadillac Sixteen. It was so goddamn exciting.
Went to the auto show a few years ago, now it’s just boring ass trucks and crossovers.

Oh, I believe them. I just know I won’t see one in the USA anytime soon. Unless it’s one of the Chinese sneak-in cars, like Lotus or Polestar. (Not sure of what other ones there are.)

An auto show that North America dream off.

These cars ain’t coming here. Chinese government subsidies the whole industry for its people whilst ours slaps tariffs on them. GM, Ford and Japan ICE should get moving on the transition.
