Class 1 emtb it has a 250 W mid-drive Motor that Peaks at 750 watts and comes with a powerful 100 NM of torque in our range test we got a ridiculous result of 47.5 Mi on max assist and 107.4 Mi on Min assist from the 76w

Battery it made made it up hell hole with our third fastest time ever for a mid-drive motor in just 1 minute and 16 seconds it fits Riders from 51 up to 65 across the four different frame size options and is underpriced and overvalued at a crazy

$2,699 okay so let’s get to the good stuff what made this bike stand out first off the motor is a Tory boy most emtb Motors shoot for 60 to 90 newton meters of torque but this thing went all the way to Triple digits at 100 that means it has serious punch going up

You can expect a range of 15 M up to 47 Mi depending on which of the two battery sizes you pick our pre-production test bike had a slightly bigger 14 amp hour battery than the final model and we saw slightly higher range test data for this reason the Portola made it up hellhole

So there’s some real incredible value here for the price and one last thing the bike stays together when it’s folded we’ve been looking for a folding bike that’s not awkward to move around for a while and the Porta is one one of only a few folding bikes that includes a strap

To make the process easier based on our testing and the Porta price we think this is a great entry-level ebike for just about anyone it checks the boxes for affordability quality and practicality which is a pretty uncommon mix but also as a folding bike this is a

Price range are fairly utilitarian but the bottom line is that you’d probably have a tough time finding a bike this good at a lower Price now our award for the best commuter under $3,000 is the specialized turbo Vado 3.0 we actually tested the 4.0 which didn’t make it on this list because of its price but we liked it so much and the 3.0 does fit within our price limit so we had to squeeze this

One in so we’ll run through the specs and test data with the 4.0 but just know that the 3.0 will have some differences primarily in range but the overall heart and soul of the bike is still the same the turbo Vado is a Class 2 ebike it’s

$1,789 for the Dual battery one so why did we choose the Expedition for best cargo ebike well you can’t talk electric and not talk about value so let’s let start there its single battery option is one of the least expensive cargo ebikes on the market but even the Dual battery

System with one of Electric’s accessory packages is still less expensive than some cargo ebikes second there are a ton of ways to set it up there are so many accessories for getting groceries hauling gear or taking two kids seriously there’s room for two yep Maxi child seats and more than enough

Scandinavian influence design and a thick glossy paint job and it feels more unique that a lot of Cruiser options there are really only so many ways to make certain styles of bike but the Aven Skyline doesn’t feel like any sort of copy and paste from the cruiser world if

You don’t want cookie cutter options this one is going to be worth a look also fans of straightforward ebikes will dig what the Aven Skyline has to offer it isn’t simple in a boring sense it’s simple in an intentional sense it’s the type of bike you’d enjoy riding even

Have paid off this trike fills a big void in the market and just simply does that very Well next we’ve given the award for the best hunting ebike of 2024 to the quiet cat Ranger this bike is Big it’s powerful and it’s also really flexible in both how and and where you can use it so let’s run through some of the Ranger’s main components and test data

Bike for hunters but if you’re any kind of Sportsman we think there’s a lot of appeal John mentioned flexibility though and there’s no reason you couldn’t also use this bike as a commuter after all it does have the ability to be adjusted between four different riding modes

Based on where you want to ride it I didn’t even mention the three camo paint job options but the bottom line is that you really don’t have any limits with the ranger it has all the power you’ll ever need and we think it’s welld deserving of this Award okay so my addition to this best list is the ride runup Prodigy V2 LX and total honesty here this was one of my top three personal favorite ebikes that I have tested over the last 12 months there are tons of awesome features that come together so well on The Prodigy V2

Not be happy about with this Bike I chose one addition to this list since it wasn’t already included here and that was the Tre olant plus 7 this is kind of another cheater on this list since I actually tested the more expensive 8s which I have behind me but I think there are some things about the

Seven that a lot of riders will actually like better outside of just the lower price a quick summary of the elant plus 7 it’s a Class 1 ebike limited to 20 mph it comes with a 250 wat Bosch CX motor with 85 Newt meters of torque the model

We fully tested comes with a 625w battery but the elant plus 7 includes a 500w battery so you should expect to get slightly less than the 30 to 75 miles we got in R range tests the seven should also get similar results to our Hill

Test of the 8S which took 1 minute and 43 seconds to climb hellhole Trail and we’d expect similar results to our brake test as well where the elant plus 8s stopped in 21 feet 1 inch the bike will fit Riders from 5′ 5 in up to 6′ 6 in

And at the time of filming it has a sale price of $27.99 which is why we included it here my reasoning for this award is a little bit different I’ll start off with some of the shared aspects of the different spec levels first the elant somehow felt like a regular bike and a

Powerful ebike at the same time which really just comes down to the Bosch mid Drive Motors the one we tested went up to 28 mph but both are part of the performance line from Bosch so we’d expect a similar experience second we like the bike’s handling a lot it was

Nimble but also really stable which was another unexpected combination third there really is just a difference you can feel in terms of build quality and the geometry with this being a track bike but then the S has a standard Caro rack and a suspension Fork that I think

Are really solid trade-offs for the fact that it doesn’t pair with the Bosch app that the 8S uses as a dashboard we recommend the elant plus 7 for anyone who plans to spend a lot of time on their ebike there’s a really dialed in feel here that you won’t find too many

Other places even on this list if you’re looking to commute to work or school or you like long weekend rides we think you’ll be really happy with this option from a personal standpoint my favorite ebike is usually the one I’m testing at the moment but the aant really stuck

The fact that this is an ebike just because it’s quiet and looks really clean I think the T1 St is great for anyone who wants a unique and lightweight bike it also is definitely more on the affordable end of the spectrum so if you don’t want to break

The bank you get a lot of bike for the price we’ve tested quite a few of vetrix ebikes with more on the way and I think the T1 St is a good example of their approach this bike is fun it looks good it functions well and it stands out from
