Best Electric Bikes 2024 | Top 26 Bikes Tested & Reviewed, All Under $3K

Welcome to electric bike report we have 26 ebikes to show you that we have chosen as the best electric bikes of 2024 our review team has extensively tested hundreds and hundreds of ebikes we’ve logged over 30,000 Mi climbed 248,000 ft up our grueling hellhole test Hill not to mention countless more hours

And miles across all of our testing and that’s not even counting the stuff we do on the weekends on our own time and from that these are the bikes that performed the best had absolutely outstanding value or were simply the bikes that we kept going back to time and time again

So let’s dish out the 22 category winners and four more we threw in just for good measure to help you pick among the best rides of 2024 N before we start let’s cover the ground rules we had when putting together this list first every bike on our list is currently selling for under $3,000 we’ll have our picks for the best ebikes over three grand coming out soon so make sure to subscribe to see that video also

We’re going to be throwing a whole bunch of data at you so let’s quickly run through the essential things to know about our testing process the hill test takes bikes up a steep third mile climb that averages a 12% grade it is the type of thing that you would hop off and push

Regular bike for most people the brake test takes an average stopping distance when braking from 20 mph and our range test was done two times this is to give real world range with high or low assistance and lastly we love our audience who support our in-depth testing viewer support is what makes

What we do possible and clicking the pricing links and review links down below helps to support us so thanks in advance but now let’s talk about some Ebikes the best Fat Tire ebike of 2024 is the aventon Aventure 2 it has awesome performance a lot of Versatility and is seriously just so dang fun which is why it’s still our top fat bike here’s the quick rundown of its features and test results the adventure ships as a Class 2

Ebike but it adjusts to class 3 speeds with the event app it comes with a 750 wat Hub motor and torque sensor our tested range was 31 and 59 Mi with its 700 12w battery and it had an impressive 1 minute and 13 second climb in our Hill

Test the brakes did a great job posting an 18t 11in stopping distance Riders 4’11 up to 6’4 can fit the Adventure 2 and it has a total payload capacity of 400 lb and finally it has a list price of $1,800 okay so here’s all the things that we liked about the adventure too

This thing has awesome power and I mean that in two ways it can go very fast or it makes light work when it comes to going up a hill it also has great control the torque sensor Works nicely so it delivers the right amount of assistance which means you can enjoy

More mellow rides too but you have access to that power when you pedal just a little harder also It is Well equipped for commutes or for going off-road you can take this to work Monday through Friday but it’s also stocked with the features for fun ROMs out in the dirt it

Has all you need to ride well in most any environment and also it just doesn’t have really very many low points in addition to its awesome results in our real world testing it’s got good looks handling and function we found the adventure to be pretty versatile so we

Think it’s going to be a good ride for people who want to do a lot of different things on an ebike or for those who maybe don’t know yet what they want to do there are also enough sizes available to fit a lot of people so it’s going to

Work for a lot of different needs we said this last year about the Adventure 2 but I’ll repeat it again as it carries even more weight now it might have the most miles of any ebike we have here at electric bike report we go back to it

Again and again we have 200 plus ebikes to pick from and this is the one people opt for the most that should probably tell you something about this bike and why it’s our pick for the best fat tire Ebike so next up we have the best folding ebike which is going to the electric XP 3.0 this is one of the most popular ebikes in America thanks to its ridiculous value all right let’s look at the features and test results the XP 3.0

Ships as a Class 2 ebike but it can go to class 3 speeds it comes with a 500 WT Hub motor and Cadence Sensor and in our range testing we got 29 and 44 mi from the 499 W battery it climbed our Hill test in 1 minute and 21 seconds our

Brake test result was 21 ft 11 in and Riders ranging from 4’11 up to 6’4 can fit the XP3 .0 and it has a total payload of 330b and the best part is it sells for $999 okay so there’s a lot of good with the EXP but let me give you our top

Three things number one it’s 1,000 bucks let me say that again it’s 1,000 bucks that’s basically what we consider as the entry point for ebikes but making an ebike that holds Mass Appeal and is worthy of a spot on our best list is flipping hard to do for only a grand and

The XP is such a bike Point number two it’s got a ton of features most thousand bikes have to make feature Cuts somewhere like omitting the seven-speed gearing or the suspension fork or even opting for a smaller motor that is not the issue here you still get all the

Things third there’s just so much you can do with it all the performance tests proved how capable it is for getting around but it also has versatile 3-in tires for some light off-roading and it has a welded on rear rack you can take up to 150 lb on the rack so it fits

Smaller humans or tons of gear there are a bunch of uses for the XP 3.0 it’s a great option for those newer to ebikes who don’t want to buy a more expensive one just yet but don’t be surprised if you don’t feel the urge to upgrade XP owners often get attached it’s also

Great for exploring you can keep it in the RV or the back of a truck to take a more scenic route after you drive somewhere since it folds down it’s great for people who are tight on space and that could be people living in apartments or if you want something that

Could fit in the trunk of a car and of course it’s ideal if you’re buying multiple ebikes if you your spouse and your kids are all looking to get KNE bike you’ll save some money without sacrificing function the XP 3.0 is one of only a few bikes I keep on my

Shortlist of recommendations for people at all times I don’t feel like I have to know anything about you to have it on that list it is crazy inexpensive for all that it can do and it can do a lot and it likely has the most Riders of any

Ebike model in America America so there’s a lot of others who can back up the fund and function of the XP 3.0 now let’s talk about the best class 3 commuter that you can buy for under $2,000 and this one goes to the ride oneup 700 series a lot of commuters can give you 28 mph speeds but they don’t all feel as meant for it as the 700

Series does as the award might imply the 700 series comes as a class 3 ebike it has a 750 watt Hub motor with a Cadence Sensor in our range testing we got 27 and 45 miles on a full charge of its 720w hour battery it climbed our test

Hill in a minute and 21 seconds and our brake test result was 23 ft even Riders 5T up to 6’2 can ride the 700 plus it has a payload capacity of 300 lb and finally it sells for $15.95 so there are a few things that

Helped the 700 stand out for us first of all it feels better at faster speeds than a lot of other ebikes there’s a ton of ebikes that come as or can be changed to class 3 speeds but with the 700 you don’t get those weird vibrations through

The frame that you sometimes get on other bikes and it just has a really nice planted feel on the road second it sticks to the basics and does them well the feel going into Corners the acceleration profile across all levels of pedal assist it just all feels pretty

Well set up with how the bike was designed and finally it’s got great value it has all that awesome feel to it and your commuting Necessities for a couple hundred less than comparably spect commuters in some cases like with the tires and 100 mm Fork we think it’s

Better spec than several bikes on the market that cost more so who do we see liking the 700 well if you like or need a fast ride the 700 is great for getting you quickly where you need to be it’s also a great option for people who want

A simple ebike there’s not a lot of fancy Tech or a giant display just pick your assist setting pick your gear and enjoy an allaround solid bike it’s also pretty nice that the St model has a more Cruiser likee handlebar it makes it a bit more accommodating for shorter

Riders and it doesn’t drastically change up the handling it still felt really good on that model as well nearly everybody at the electric bike Report Team loves to take out Speedy bikes from time to time and when we think of bikes that go fast the 700 series is one of

The first that comes to mind it’s blazing fast stable and is tons of fun to Ride so next up is the best city Cruiser which is going to the aventon PACE 500. 3 it has an awesome natural ride feel and a relaxed Cruiser influence design let’s look over its features and test results the pace comes as a Class 2 bike

But changes to a class 3 in the event and app it has a 500 W Hub motor with a torque sensor in our range testing we got 35 and 67 miles out out of the 614 W battery it made it up our test Hill in 1

Minute and 28 seconds and it had a brake test average of 19 ft 11 in the pace fits people 4 11 to 6’1 and handles a payload of 300 lb and finally it sells for $15.99 there are five reasons why the pace 500 took home this award first it’s

Lighter weight which has benefits both on and off the bike out on the roads it feels light and compact without feeling small and and then of course it’s easier to move around in general second it is surprisingly comfortable we are big fans of this type of Cruiser handlebar it

Offers a more natural hand placement than some of the wider ones especially with the help of the adjustable stem to find your proper fit third the handling is just really Snappy since you’re so upright we don’t feel it needs a suspension Fork so the rigid Fork helps make for a nice sharp handling

Experience fourth we were also impressed by the zip of the motor its speed test showed good speed distribution across all the Pas levels but the torque sensor feels natural and it’s able to push a pretty fun Pace when you start pedaling a little harder and lastly it had a

Really impressive range result the bike moves really efficiently that type of range is greater than most from this motor and Battery combo this bike has some things in common with classic beach cruisers but they often feel pretty large so we think this is a better fit for people who want a relaxed ride

Without all the heft and with the lighter weight we see it as a good option for smaller or older Riders as well and then we liked both frame styles but we think the step through version is particularly well done our friends and family members regularly borrow that

Version just because it’s easy to hop on and ride pulling off a bike that can be both a Leisure ride and your main city transportation is no easy feat but the pace 500. 3 doesn’t feel out of place doing either and with that standout test results we felt it’s the best option

Among City Cruisers the best ebike option for women is the one we get to design ourselves that’s why we chose the model S from electric bike company for this category the model S is a classic step through beach cruiser that’s the base you work off of but the look comfort and performance

This ride is completely up to you from there so there’s a lot that can change on this bike but I’ll give you the basics and let you know things that were on our test model the model S comes as a Class 2 bike but can change up to class

3 speeds it has a 500 W Hub motor with either a torque or a Cadence Sensor the standard battery is 672 W hours in hour range testing we got 35 and 66 M on our upgraded 864w hour battery it climbed our Hill test in 1 minute and 10 seconds

And it had a brake test average of 19 ft and 4 in it can fit Riders from 5T up to 6′ 10 in tall and it handles a payload up to 420 lb the base model with its standard features cost $179 9 and the price increases from there as you

Customize it more the model S is our top pick for women because there are so many ways to customize it we won’t even be able to list them all here but we’ll mention a lot of them first you can pick almost any color most places give you the two or three run-of-the-mill options

And one is nearly always black or white and that’s just not enough there’s virtually no limit to the color options of your bike on the model S electric bike company has over 40 color options to pick from or just send them one of your own and they’ll match it second you

Can make it as comfortable as you want the low step FR step through frame excuse me makes it pretty easy to get on and off of this bike but you can choose the type of handlebar you want a suspension fork or a rigid one choose

The size of the tires or even pick how comfortable of a saddle you want third there are options G lore to fit your lifestyle there are different baskets and bags which help you to make the most of your bike finally it’s just such a fun ride I feel like I’m on a boardwalk

No matter where I am when I’m riding this bottle s the bike isn’t lacking anything on the performance end either the hill test and brake test were among our best for a beach cruiser so it keeps Pace with a lot of other bike Styles and you can increase the range a ton with

The battery options they have available too if you like the sound of the model S but want to save a bit of coin you could look at the model y that is pretty similar with a few scaled back components it’s also awesome that electric bike company the larg makes and

Assembles the bike here in the states kind of cool right that’s how they can paint it any way you like but it also means they inspect each bike themselves before shipping so they’re able to offer a 10-year warranty on the frame and motor with 2 years on the battery that

Is great coverage I said it before and I’ll say it again the best ebike for women is the one we get to design for ourselves so with all you can do to make the model S your own it’s our our pick for the best ebike women can find in 2024 The award for the best ebike for seniors goes to the radster road this is a really nice bike and it is brand new it’s packing a bunch of cool safety Tech and a host of ride upgrades from the rad city which almost got this award yeah

Like John said we almost went with the rad City 5 plus here but then we got this bike in for testing as we were prepping this video we don’t have all the testing data done yet but the early returns are too promising to pass up so

The radster road comes as a Class 2 bike but you can change it to class 3 speeds it has a 750 W Hub motor with a torque sensor the battery has a 720w capacity the similar radster trail with the same motor and Battery just finished its

Mid-range test and got 75 M so we expect to see something similar here it climbed our test Hill in a minute and 16 seconds and we haven’t done the brake test yet but it has the tekro HD E350 system it can fit Riders from 411 up to 6’4 for

And it handles a payload of 320 lb the listed price is at $19.99 the rad city was a great combo of safety ease and reliability the Rader Road took that base and upgraded it further first things first we love the cool safety features battery safety is a

Really popular topic these days rad not only has UL certification for this battery but it also has new safe shield technology that makes it better protected against thermal Runaway there’s a key fob for locking and unlocking the bike and you also get turn signals on the rear brake light now also

It’s easy to ride the feel elements are all there good upright body posture while riding and solid ergonomics combined with a torque sensor make for a better ride experience overall one of our favorite upgrades is the addition of more torque from the motor which makes it incredibly easy to go up hills RADS

Are also just reliable performers there’s a reason there are some the ebike sales leaders over the last few years they’re pretty well known for reliability and expected Motor Performance and the feel of the ride here is predictable and very pleasant every time the bike might be new but rad

Has been around selling ebikes for a long time now there’s safety in numbers so people who want to go with a brand that’s got a proven track record will like what rad is plus the new tech for battery safety is a sign to us that they aren’t standing still in this space

Either they’re still improving their bikes the suspension Fork gives it a comfortable ride and it comes with two step through frame sizes to give you the right fit seniors tell us that they want comfort and safety above all else on an ebike rad is enhancing that more than ever here on the radster Road okay so this is the best new ebike of 2024 award but we’re also going to be calling it the best $2 ebike that should cost $5,000 award and it’s going to the electric one this is one of the most jawdropping releases that we have seen

In years this bike is launching close to the day we’re releasing this video so there are a few pieces of info we don’t have but I’ll run through what we do know we expect this to ship as a Class 2 ebike and possibly have the option to go

Up to class 3 we know that it has a 750 W rear hub motor the two battery options give an estimated range of 45 M from a 499 W battery and 60 mi from a 672 hour battery we haven’t yet been able to perform our Real World Range Hill break

And speed tests obviously but we expect awesome results based on our hands-on experience at Electric’s announcement event since the bike comes with a Gates carbon drive belt and a pinion gearbox its list price should be over $5,000 but somehow it’s only1 1999 okay so there’s a lot of fun stuff

Here to cover but seriously we expect this bike to make some waves so first pinion okay here’s the down low on pinion stuff if you don’t know it already a couple of former Porsche Engineers started a company and they make gearboxes so that bikes can shift

Like race cars do that is awesome well now you’ll have a large gear range that rides for over 6,000 Mi without any maintenance needed that is sweet shifting is easy and done for you based off of a Cadence that you set it’s really sweet Tech you can use and tailor

It to your ride style I could geek out here for a while so I’ll just move on for now but again this is just really really cool that it’s coming to the masses second it’s overall spec for $2,000 guys I can’t stress this enough two grand for this bike without the

Pinion still would feel like a steel everything from it 750 W Motor the 96 magnet Cadence Sensor where most use 12 by the way the gates belt drive that keeps it clean a 47lb frame with adjustable folding handle and Etc but again the pinion gearbox is included

Here so holy crap that is some serious value third this is a seriously unique experience our biker in Chief was the one that went to the electric event and he came back saying this was unlike any experience he’s ever had I’m quoting him here it’s the most impressive thing he

Has seen in 4 years in ebikes finally it’s it’s got a peppy and fast motor you can seriously pop a wheelie on this thing if you try it’s got that kind of punch no worries though you can dial in the gearbox to mitigate those chances

There’s going to be so much you can do with this bike it was named the one on purpose as Elric designed it to be the one bike you’d need to live your life yes of course we’ll need to complete our testing before we can definitively say

Who it’s best for or what it excels at but so far based on our experience with it and what it has on paper we think there’s great reason to be extremely excited electric calling card is giving you a lot of performance and features and a best bang for your buck way this

Combo is pushing that statement to even more extreme territory getting a ride that should go for two or three times it’s $2,000 price tag is easily the most impressive thing we have seen from any new ebike of 2024 our favorite emtb under $33,000 goes to the brand new event in ramblas the bike is nearly everything we want from a hard tail emtb on a budget only this one doesn’t make you feel like you’re on much of a budget to hit all the main details on the ramblas it’s a

Class 1 emtb it has a 250 W mid-drive Motor that Peaks at 750 watts and comes with a powerful 100 NM of torque in our range test we got a ridiculous result of 47.5 Mi on max assist and 107.4 Mi on Min assist from the 76w

Battery it made made it up hell hole with our third fastest time ever for a mid-drive motor in just 1 minute and 16 seconds it fits Riders from 51 up to 65 across the four different frame size options and is underpriced and overvalued at a crazy

$2,699 okay so let’s get to the good stuff what made this bike stand out first off the motor is a Tory boy most emtb Motors shoot for 60 to 90 newton meters of torque but this thing went all the way to Triple digits at 100 that means it has serious punch going up

Climbs but it’s not overpowered since the app lets you control the amount of output that you want second it is value packed with performance parts we have tested our fair share of emtbs in that $2500 to $3,500 range the ramblas has better brakes a better fork and a better

Drivetrain than the others despite being one of the most affordable that we have tested third it Nails the ride feel it’s modern geometry and differen size frames help you find a ride where you feel in control on the trails a lot of others with this price tag come in only one or

Two sizes my fourth and final Point how can we not be impressed with what it did in our testing it got a top five alltime range test result of any ebike that we have tested and I will say it again it is the third fastest mid drive up our

Test Hill the ramblas has strength and stamina and that is a winning combination I love since I can expect to ride nearly all day we think the ramblas will serve any anybody will if you know what you’re getting into with hardtail emtbs we’re not limiting this bike to

Newer Riders but the hill climbing power will remove a lot of the intimidation of more challenging climbing Hills so it’s definitely going to be an appealing choice for newer riders or those needing an extra boost but really we think it’ll be fun for anybody I think of the event

In adventure as the bike that propelled modern fat bikes forward I won’t be surprised if the ramblas raises the quality expectations that other brands will have to follow in the affordable emgb Space 2 the year is still young but this is probably one of my favorite new ebikes of the year Period with a lot of familiar bikes holding down their spots we wanted to show some love and highlight some awesome new options as well so the award for the best new fat tire ebike goes to the allnew radster trail this one is currently in testing but we’re impressed

Enough to include it here even though we don’t have all the data finalized just yet but let’s run through what we do have the Rader Trail is a Class 1 23 ebike but ships as a Class 2 it comes with a 750 W rear hub motor with 100 new

Meters of torque we were able to get 75 M from the 720w battery on our Min range test and we’re actively performing the max test right now it completed our Hill test in a minute and 13 seconds we haven’t completed our official break test yet but the brakes did great in our

Personal testing so we expect good results this bike fits Riders from 4′ 11 in up to 6′ 4 in between two frame sizes and has a total load capacity of 370 lb and finally its list price is currently $1 199.99 fat bikes are a hotly contested space so what brings the radster trail

Here into consideration as one of the best new ones well it has 100 Newton met of torque this is something we have always hoped for from A rad bike the ride feel of the rad Rover line has always been solid but we wanted a bit more oomph well well this bike certainly

Has more oomph it also has 3-in mid fat tires they split the difference of better stability and more agile handling it comes with some brand new ebike battery Tech as well that makes this battery one of the safest if not the safest on the ebike market today all

Right and I know this is subjective but the copper red color of the the frame styling and the tan wall tires make it one of our favorite looking ebikes we have got in an electric bike report over the last couple of years I’ve hit the snooze button on Rad’s love

Of black and white but this one woke me back up it just looks sleek we liked the rad Rover 6 plus it’s a great Fat Tire Bike but a lot of riders wanted the ability to go faster if that’s you we think you’ll really like the ability to

Go up to class 3 speeds with the radster trail and of course this is a great bike for anyone looking for long-term reliability rad puts a huge priority on the longevity of their products as well as their customer service the categories we’re picking from that have the word

New attached are a lot of fun we can simply point out the thing that’s turning the most heads and feels the best to ride the radster trail has tons of appeal which is why it’s our best new Fat Tire ebike of 2024 we chose the mock wheel Basalt for the best camping ebike of 2024 it’s just a really solid Fat Tire ebike but it also has some features and optional accessories that give it an edge when it comes to adventuring these are things that we don’t see all that often with

Other fat tire bikes in this price range let’s run through the main specs and performance results for the basalt it’s an unclassified ebike with a throttle and pedal assisted speeds exceeding 28 mph it has a 750 W rear hub motor with a torque sensor its results in our range

Test were 36 to 74 mi from its 941 W hour battery in our Hill Climb test its max assist time was 1 minute and 10 seconds its brake test average was 25 F 4 in and it Riders from 58 all the way to 64 with a total payload capacity of a

Whopping 400 lb and its list price is currently $1600 the first reason we gave this award to the basalt was that it comes with a really powerful motor it’s fast it has a lot of torque for climbing Hills and it’s also responsive thanks to its torque sensor next you get more

Battery capacity than most fat bikes and also more range the basalts range test results were some of the best we’ve seen from a fat tire ebike period and finally you can charge this battery with solar panels and use it to power other devices you’ll have to pick up a couple of

Optional accessories in order to do that but once you do there’s literally no limit in how far you can go we think the basalt might be best for those into hunting fishing camping or even the overlanding crowds but it’s also really flexible by its nature so if you want

The freedom to do just about anything with a really stable ride the basal has you covered based on all that I think the basal has the functionality aspect nailed and I think it’s also a really nice looking ebike with some cool color options that include camo patterns we

Had a lot of fun with it and ultimately we think you will to no matter what you decide to do with It next up our award for the best class 2 commuter ebike under $2,000 goes to the event in level2 I like to think of this bike as the adventur slightly tuned down cousin that still gives you a lot of the same comfort and stability just without the

Off-road aspect to run through all the main details about the level Point 2 this is a Class 2 ebike that can be unlocked to a class 3 through the eventon app it comes with a 500 W rear hub motor that uses a torque sensor we

Recorded 35 to 67 m in our range test with the bike 672 W battery when it came to the maxed assist portion of our Hill test it climbed the hill in just 1 minute and 23 seconds its average in our brake test was 20t 1 in and it fits

Riders between 53 and 64 4 with a weight capacity of 300 lb and finally the list price is $16.99 there are a few reasons we gave this award to the level first because of its responsive pedal assist this was the first bike in a Venton lineup that got a

Torque sensor and 2 years later they’re still not all that common with rear hub Motors in this bike’s price range second this bike just felt really solid it’s weight its handlebars and its wide tires all play into that but the end result is a super planted field

Third it has a really great user interface with a color display and Bluetooth connectivity so it looks pretty and it’s easily readable on its own but when you pair to the aventon app you can adjust the bike’s speed limit track ride data and chat with other aventon ebike owners we think this bike

Is going to be a great fit if you want an ebike with a stable feel that pedals like a regular bike it’s definitely great for commuting with really good range potential but you could also use it for running errands or really anything on paved surfaces bottom line

The level point2 is just a solid daily ride it’s comfortable it’s wellmade and it’s a bit more reserved for those who don’t want to feel overpowered by the Motor okay so the best utility ebike award goes to the rad Runner series these bikes are great for nearly any use case and almost any Rider the runner is really the OG of this style there are three different models available today and we like them all but we’ll mainly

Focus on our favorite of of the bunch which is the rad Runner plus so on the runner plus it is a Class 2 ebike and it comes with a 750 W rear hub motor and Cadence Sensor we were able to get 26 and 75 mi from the 672 W battery it

Climbed up hell hole in 1 minute and 29 seconds and the rad Runner plus stopped in an average of 17′ 2 in it fits Riders from 411 up to 62 with a maximum weight of 350 lb and it has a list price of $179 9 honestly I think we covered what

We like most about it in the opener but let me elaborate just a little bit further first the runner is just so dang useful it’s kind of like a mini cargo bike there’s a ton of ways to accessorize it and the strong rear rack is great for passengers too second it

Fits nearly everybody comfortably it’s easy for almost all Heights and ages especially thanks to some of the comfort features third it’s smaller size has really playful handling yet it balances really easy il on its wide tires and last there is just kind of an IT Factor

Here with the runner I know that’s not very specific but we’ve seen a lot of utility ebikes and some just don’t have that same solid feel that you get across this line another one of our favorite things about the runner plus is that it’s as strong as an ox it’s decently

Quick but it feels like it could plow ahead and have no quit in it even if you fully loaded it up it’s another one of those options that if you don’t really know what you want to do when you get a ebike you can can get this one and just

Figure it out later it does a little bit of everything our favorite ebikes tend to be the ones that cast the widest Nets if you could get this one for your teenager or for somebody celebrating retirement you can’t go wrong with any of the three available rad Runner

Options and all of them scored really well in our testing the runner 3 plus behind me is the most capable of the bunch and the Runner 2 is one of the best ebikes you can find for not a lot of money but the combo of features and

Price of the rad Runner plus might have the best value of them all any any way you slice it the runner series is our utility ebike of the Year our next award is for the best new folding ebike and that goes to the ride oneup Portola before this bike was released Elric absolutely dominated the affordable segment of the market but this is a real Contender for one of the best ebikes at or under

$1,000 let’s do a quick rundown on this bike the pora ships as a Class 2 ebike but it can be adjusted to a class one or class 3 as well it comes with a 750 W rear hub motor with 65 newm of torque

You can expect a range of 15 M up to 47 Mi depending on which of the two battery sizes you pick our pre-production test bike had a slightly bigger 14 amp hour battery than the final model and we saw slightly higher range test data for this reason the Portola made it up hellhole

In 1 minute and 17 seconds on max assist in our Hill test it had an average brake test stopping distance of 20 8 in it’s designed to fit Riders from 4′ 10 up to 6’4 and has a total payload capacity of 300 lb and then finally the list price

For the Portola is a killer $995 the fact that there are two battery sizes is one reason we gave the award to this bike as it’s really nice to have options at this price point but another thing we really like was the pora’s powerful motor this bike is fast and it

Can climb Hills very well and we just don’t often see a 750 wat motor on a folding ebike that ties into the next point this bike is just well equipped in general you get hydraulic disc brakes an 8-speed drivetrain and A Cargo R cargo rack excuse me that can carry passengers

So there’s some real incredible value here for the price and one last thing the bike stays together when it’s folded we’ve been looking for a folding bike that’s not awkward to move around for a while and the Porta is one one of only a few folding bikes that includes a strap

To make the process easier based on our testing and the Porta price we think this is a great entry-level ebike for just about anyone it checks the boxes for affordability quality and practicality which is a pretty uncommon mix but also as a folding bike this is a

Great option for the RV crowd or anyone else with limited space who still wants to get out on a bike and have some fun and as a bonus we think the portella is one of of the best looking folding bikes out there most of the others in this

Price range are fairly utilitarian but the bottom line is that you’d probably have a tough time finding a bike this good at a lower Price now our award for the best commuter under $3,000 is the specialized turbo Vado 3.0 we actually tested the 4.0 which didn’t make it on this list because of its price but we liked it so much and the 3.0 does fit within our price limit so we had to squeeze this

One in so we’ll run through the specs and test data with the 4.0 but just know that the 3.0 will have some differences primarily in range but the overall heart and soul of the bike is still the same the turbo Vado is a Class 2 ebike it’s

Equipped with a 250 W mid Drive motor with a torque sensor its results from a range test were 23 to 61 Mi with a 710w battery the 3.0 has a 530w battery it’s max assist Hill Climb test took 1 minute and 24 seconds with 70 newon M of torque

The 3.0 has 50 the bike’s average stopping distance in our brake test was 12′ 11 in with SRAM brakes the 3.0 has Shimano brakes the Votto fits Riders from 51 to 64 up to 300 lb and last the 3.0 is listed at $2,999 so where there are differences we

Definitely expect the results to reflect that but be generally comparable but the things that stood out from our testing of the 4.0 were first the specialized 2.0 mid Drive motor it’s powerful it’s natural it’s just incredibly dialed in next the overall value from the component package is really solid again

There are some differences but this still holds true with the 3.0 tons of high quality parts and all the accessories you expect on a commuter at a reasonable price continuing on we really liked the specialized app this lets you track ride and fitness data but also tune the motor output to your

Liking and last maybe most importantly there’s just something you can’t put into words when it comes to Legacy Brand Products specialized knows what they’re doing when it comes to making good bikes and that is something you can feel through and through with all of that in

Mind we think the turbo Vado 3.0 would be great for anyone looking for a reliable daily ride to work or school it’s also really capable for running errands or going out for some family fun thanks to the 59 lb carrying capacity of the mik cargo rack and all the

Compatible accessories there’s a reason this bike has been on our best lists for a long time you just don’t find this level of quality and precision on every ebike out there the 3.0 is the starting point for the turbo aado and of course there are a variety of different spec

Levels you can choose from based on our experience with the 4.0 you just can’t go wrong with any of Them the reward for most customizable ebike goes to the model R from the electric bike company which is probably not a huge shock if you know anything about the brand the model R comes as a Class 2 ebike but can be changed to class 3 speeds it has a 750 W rear hub

Motor with 60 newton meters of torque and it includes either a Cadence Sensor or a torque sensor our tested range on this bike was between 17 and 41 mil on the single 576 wat battery option it reached the top of the hill in a minute and 32 seconds and even though this bike

Weighs 78 lb it had an impressive stopping distance of 19 ft and 9 in on the brake test it fits Riders all the way from 5 ft tall up to 6′ 10 in with a max weight of 420 lb and it comes with a list price of $16.99 and depending on

Customizations it goes up in price from there if you watch through what Christina had to say on the model S A lot of the same things apply here but there are a few things we like in particular about how you can custom the model R here’s a few of our favorite

Things first off it’s the least Cruiser esque of the electric bike company’s options that makes it the most adaptable ride depending on the handlebar you choose you can of course pick all the colors of your bike the frame the fork the basket and more can be painted to

The color of your choosing it even has a metallic and what they call Spectral shift options that change colors As you move along the frame you can get matching helmets to the paint color of your bike you can even get your business logos painted on there too not just

Cheap decals nearly every component can be upgraded or kept standard and more simple you can even add on things like enhanced Tech packages or a surfboard rack it’s not just cool to customize it but it’s a great ride too with solid all-around testing performance and the

Ability to make it your own you’ll want to be out riding all the time my wife hates buying presents for me I can get very particular in the things that I want this is the type of bike that you can gift to a loved one and they’ll have

A blast making it all their own it’s the bike people are sure to like since they’ll end up with exactly what they want electric bike company has really dialed in the motor output over the years too so even if you’re considering a model R just for the larger frame

Option the ride quality here is pretty smooth and enjoyable let’s not forget it’s americanmade and it has an industry-leading warranty the EBC team and their customer service are topnotch as well we’ll be honest we don’t know of any other company offering even half the customization options you find here so

We may as well pencil them in for this award for the foreseeable future but for now the model R gets the nod amongst electric bike company lineup as it’s one that might be the most flexible to different ride Styles and now the award for the best city and urban ebike of 2024 goes to the aventon soltera point2 we really like the original version of the sutera but we think aventon nailed it with the second iteration the combination of features that you get for the price is pretty much unbeatable elsewhere plus

It’s backed by by a company that has a really solid track record let’s do a quick rundown of the sutera it is a Class 2 ebike with the ability to be unlocked to a class 3 through the eventon app it has a 350 W rear hub motor with a torque sensor our tested

Range was 29 to 37 Mi with the 360w battery its max assist Hill Climb test took 2 minutes and 13 seconds and its average stopping distance in our brake test was 22 ft and 10 in it fits Riders between 5’3 and up to 6’4 with a weight

Capacity of 300 lb and it has a list price of $9.99 so there were four main reasons that we gave the award to this bike first it just felt like a regular bike and that was a combined effect from the motor and its torque sensor second it

Had really great handling with 700 C tires and a relatively lightweight frame third we were really big fans of the brake lights and turn signals on the seat stays in my mind this is a no-brainer since there’s a battery on board but aventon is one of only only a

Few Brands we’ve seen actually take this step and finally with price this bike went for around 1,400 bucks when it first came out but Venton dropped that down to $999 and really there’s just a lot of bike here for that price it has the features and the quality of something

Much more expensive so we think this Ulta will be a great fit for you if you’re someone who really enjoys cycling this is a bike for people who like to pedal and we think the torque sensor is a perfect fit also if you’re someone who needs to lift your bike regularly the

Sub 50 lb weight is nice and manageable and it means the sutera can fit nicely on a regular bike rack to wrap things up the original sutera was one of the first ebikes I got really attached to here at electric bike report and with all those

Things in mind I think this version of the bike took what was good about that bike and just generally kicked things up a Notch there is serious competition amongst cargo ebikes these days but none can the performance and value of Electric’s Expedition the electric Expedition ships as a Class 2 ebike it comes with a 750 W Motor with 85 newm of torque that Peaks at 1,310 watts of power it also comes with a Cadence

Sensor we were able to get between 33 and 61 m in our range test from the 672 single wat hour battery it completed our Hill test in a minute and 10 seconds on max assist the Expedition also crushed our brake test with a stopping distance

Of 18 ft and 5 in it fits Riders from 4’11 all the way up to 6’5 and has a max payload of 450 lb including a Max cargo weight of 300 lb on the rear rack the list price of the electric Expedition is $1,475 for the single battery option or

$1,789 for the Dual battery one so why did we choose the Expedition for best cargo ebike well you can’t talk electric and not talk about value so let’s let start there its single battery option is one of the least expensive cargo ebikes on the market but even the Dual battery

System with one of Electric’s accessory packages is still less expensive than some cargo ebikes second there are a ton of ways to set it up there are so many accessories for getting groceries hauling gear or taking two kids seriously there’s room for two yep Maxi child seats and more than enough

Carrying space on the long cargo rack third it did awesome across all of our tests it’s got all the power you need for moving heavy payloads even riding up a hill with two kids behind you won’t Force the bike to quit it just keeps going finally remember that 33 and 60m

Range result with one battery you can get double that if you go for the Dual battery option you can go nearly a week without having to charge this ebike so cargo bikes to me are like minivans once you discover how useful and practical they are you fall in love with them and

Yeah I’m speaking like a guy that just bought a minivan so what seriously though the Expedition is as useful and practical as any cargo bike you’ll find also it somehow feels smaller than its size despite how long it is the handling is nice with the ability to dial in your

Position with the adjusting stem and the width of the 3-in wide tires makes it feel really balanced if you’re looking at a cargo ebike you’ll almost certainly be looking for accessories too the expedition’s low price means you can fit more accessories in your Budget got to say I am stoked about this one for the second year in a row we gave the award for the best Moto or moped style ebike to the ride oneup rev one this bike is just banging and its performance is every bit as cool as it

Looks hitting all the main data points for the full suspension version The Rev one is a Class 2 ebike that can be opened up to either class 3 or in limited off-road mode settings it has a 7 50 W rear hub motor with a Cadence Sensor the mileage from our range test

With the bike was 36 to 52 mi from 1 780w hour battery and there’s an option to add a second its max assist time and our Hill Climb test was 1 minute even its brake test average was 19 ft and 2 in and the bike fits Riders between 52

And 64 and can hold up to 400 lb and finally it has two spec levels with different prices a hard tail for $17.95 or a full suspension model like we have here for $22.95 so the reasons we gave this award to the revag again were pretty obvious

First it delivered 100% of the speed and power we expected from this design in the off-road mode we hit speeds above 30 mph but even in its Class 2 settings this was one of the best hill climbers we’ve ever tested full stop second Comfort is kind of hit or miss on the

Style of bike but the Rev one nailed it I rode it for 2 hours straight in one of our rang tests and I could have easily stayed on it even longer the next big thing is value there’s a lot of stuff packed into even the lower tier hard

Tail model and even more with the full suspension version prices in this category have come down a lot and I think this bike largely reset the bar for what you can get for at its price point finally speaking for the full suspension model here it’s a fully functional electric vehicle it comes

With lights fenders a horn and even turn signals so it is Road ready right out of the box based on its performance and style this is definitely a bike for Thrill Seekers it also has a practical side though you can attach a cargo cage or a cargo rack to make it more suitable

For running errands and of course if you want to impress your co-workers I can’t think of a better way to spend your morning commute to wrap things up this is a bike that has been a serious Contender every time I’ve been asked about what my favorite ebike is every

Single time I’ve ridden it I’ve just found myself grinning from ear to ear but that’s also the same reaction that everyone on our team has had if you like the style of ebike you will not be disappointed by what the Rev one Offers our best lightweight Cruiser award goes to the Blicks of any Skyline it’s a Nimble cruiser with a bit of European flare and it’s simple but only in the best meaning of the word okay so the Aven Skyline is a Class 2 ebike it

Comes with a 500 W rear hub motor and a Cadence Sensor we were able to get between 36 and 53 mi from the 614 Wat hour battery it climbed up hell hole in a minute and 44 seconds and the Aven Skyline stopped in 16 ft and 5 in on our

Break test it fits Riders from 5’1 up to 6’2 with a maximum weight of 270 lb also it has a list price of just $4.99 and at 56 lb it’s pretty light by electric cruiser standards but what else did we like about the aventi skyline well first off it’s a really relaxed

Ride and okay yeah we get it that’s often something that’s ass assciated with other Cruisers but this bike just embodies that feeling to a tea That’s largely thanks to the frames design it’s easy to mount and get off of and it’s really upright and relaxed with a wide

Field of view second it also feels light on the road it’s much more Nimble than we think when it comes to other Cruisers it’s surprisingly fun when you’re out diving into Corners instead of taking them at a wide angle third it also gets some style points it’s got a

Scandinavian influence design and a thick glossy paint job and it feels more unique that a lot of Cruiser options there are really only so many ways to make certain styles of bike but the Aven Skyline doesn’t feel like any sort of copy and paste from the cruiser world if

You don’t want cookie cutter options this one is going to be worth a look also fans of straightforward ebikes will dig what the Aven Skyline has to offer it isn’t simple in a boring sense it’s simple in an intentional sense it’s the type of bike you’d enjoy riding even

Without a motor we have always gotten the classic car vibe from most of Blick’s models and that’s what you get with the Blicks of any Skyline it’s the type of bike people stop us to learn more about when we’re out riding it and with those interactions out in public

Plus it’s nice ride feel it’s just the best lightweight Cruiser to Us our next award for the best carbon fiber gravel ebike under $3,000 goes to the ride oneup CF racer one this is a new award for us but the price of this bike is nuts and it deserves recognition for both its affordability and its per performance so a quick run through of

Its specs and test results this is a class 3 ebike with a pedal assist up to 28 mph it’s equipped with a 250 W rear hub motor with a Cadence Sensor its results in our range test were 15 to 48 Mi with an internal 252w hour battery

The CF Racer’s max assist in our Hill Climb test was a minute and 48 seconds and the average stopping distance in the brake test was 23 F 7 in this bike fits Riders between 5’3 and 6’3 with a weight capacity of 225 lb and it’s list price

As a mind-blowing 2295 for either the gravel or the road version of this bike so that price is really the most obvious reason why we gave this award to the CF racer we’ve seen similarly specked alloy bikes going for more than this so it’s already a good deal but when you factor

In the handling and performance benefits of carbon the difference here just gets kind of stupid this price is unheard of the second factor is weight this bike weighs 29 PBS it’s easy to lift it handles like a dream I don’t know what more I can really say but third we

Really like the motor and its programming it felt very natural like a regular bike in its lower assist settings but it also had some power and some push in the high ones so with all of that in mind this is a bike for a few different kinds of people as I said

Before it comes in both Road and gravel versions so it could totally make a good commuter if you prefer lightweight bikes with drop bars but it could also be a good entry point for gravel cycling or a way to get some relief if you’re getting

Up there in years but you don’t want to give up your hobby the bottom line is that the overall performance in ride feel was topnotch for a price that’s far below what we’d expect we honestly challenge anyone to find a better deal on a carbon fiber gravel bike out There next up our award for the best electric trike goes to the electric XP trike this brand has a habit of upsetting the industry and smashing sales records for good reason they deliver quality bikes and now trikes at rock bottom prices let’s go through the XP trikes main talking points it can be

Set up as a class one or two trike with a max speed of 14 mph it has a 500 W Hub motor that’s mounted centrally and tied into the rear axle its range test results were 40 to 54 Mi with a 692 W battery and the trikes max assist Hill

Climb test took 1 minute and 40 seconds on average it stopped in 13 ft 2 in and our brake test and it fits Riders from 410 to 64 can carry up to 415 lb including a 330 lb Rider and finally it’s priced at $14.99 that price is one reason why we

Picked it for this list but value is more important and we were really impressed with the total package this tra shows that you don’t have to break the bank to get something with Comfort good specs and solid performance another thing is the XP tra’s weight capacity we

Push this thing to the Max in our Hill test and it still kept going that alone is worth some serious Kudos but finally this Tri really does deliver on being portable I drive a hatchback version of the kiaforte and we were able to fit it in the back of my car very comfortably

If you have some difficulty keeping your balance on a bike and you’re on a budget we think the XP trike is basically tailor made for you but it’s also a great way to feel like you have more freedom if you have some disabilities this trike is a real Workhorse and we

Think it can open up a lot of possibilities to wrap things up we think that the XP trike is just another notch in Electric’s belt when it comes to success they took some chances here with things like the motor and the differential axle and it really seems to

Have paid off this trike fills a big void in the market and just simply does that very Well next we’ve given the award for the best hunting ebike of 2024 to the quiet cat Ranger this bike is Big it’s powerful and it’s also really flexible in both how and and where you can use it so let’s run through some of the Ranger’s main components and test data

The ranger can be set up as a Class 1 2 3 or unclassified ebike it comes with a th000 wat rear hub motor that includes a Cadence Sensor we were able to get between 27.6 and 30.2 mil on our range test from the 48volt 768 W battery in

Our Hill test it climbed up hill hole in 1 minute and 23 seconds and it was able to stop in our brake test with an even 23 ft on average it’s designed to fit Riders between 5 ft up to 6’4 with a total payload capacity of 325 lb and it

Lists on quiet Cats website for $2,789 there are four main reasons we chose the rinder for this award first this is a true allterrain ebike so you can go pretty much anywhere with it I tested it in a rough area out in the desert and it didn’t even break a sweat

Out there second this bike is just a beast it weighs about 82 lb and it has a huge 4 and 1/2 in tires so it felt super solid and stable third this bike can handle some serious weight the rear rack can carry up to 100 lb and it’s also

Compatible with a couple of trailer options and lastly quiet cat specs their bikes really well almost everything included here is a name brand component so you should expect parts to last and also be easy to replace based on the award itself we think this is a great

Bike for hunters but if you’re any kind of Sportsman we think there’s a lot of appeal John mentioned flexibility though and there’s no reason you couldn’t also use this bike as a commuter after all it does have the ability to be adjusted between four different riding modes

Based on where you want to ride it I didn’t even mention the three camo paint job options but the bottom line is that you really don’t have any limits with the ranger it has all the power you’ll ever need and we think it’s welld deserving of this Award okay so my addition to this best list is the ride runup Prodigy V2 LX and total honesty here this was one of my top three personal favorite ebikes that I have tested over the last 12 months there are tons of awesome features that come together so well on The Prodigy V2

It it just had to make this best video so here’s the quick rundown it is a class 3 ebike it has a 250 W brosa mid-drive Motor with a torque sensor and our tested range was 31 and 65 M with the 504w battery it climbed the hill in

A time of a minute and 44 seconds and had a brake test stopping distance of 21 ft and 9 in it fits Riders between 5’1 up to 6’4 with a weight capacity of 300 lb and finally it has a list price of 23.95 so here are all the reasons The

Prodigy V2 shines I loved the feel and responsiveness of this bike the brosa motor combined with an nvol CBT and a Gates belt drive hits that awesome sweet spot where you feel like you’re doing all the work on the bike but like you are a totally Juiced up version of

Yourself itself it’s a very natural ride feel also there’s a growing trend of SUV ebikes and this feels like it fits that mold and fits it better than most the tires are versatile for riding on paths or dirt efficiently and the bike just feels like a nice touring option for

Exploring wherever it is you want to go this is a great value buy this is one of those bikes that I think would be a good deal if you told me it was in that $ 3,000 to $3200 range but it’s going for 2400 bucks so really what is there to

Not be happy about with this Bike I chose one addition to this list since it wasn’t already included here and that was the Tre olant plus 7 this is kind of another cheater on this list since I actually tested the more expensive 8s which I have behind me but I think there are some things about the

Seven that a lot of riders will actually like better outside of just the lower price a quick summary of the elant plus 7 it’s a Class 1 ebike limited to 20 mph it comes with a 250 wat Bosch CX motor with 85 Newt meters of torque the model

We fully tested comes with a 625w battery but the elant plus 7 includes a 500w battery so you should expect to get slightly less than the 30 to 75 miles we got in R range tests the seven should also get similar results to our Hill

Test of the 8S which took 1 minute and 43 seconds to climb hellhole Trail and we’d expect similar results to our brake test as well where the elant plus 8s stopped in 21 feet 1 inch the bike will fit Riders from 5′ 5 in up to 6′ 6 in

And at the time of filming it has a sale price of $27.99 which is why we included it here my reasoning for this award is a little bit different I’ll start off with some of the shared aspects of the different spec levels first the elant somehow felt like a regular bike and a

Powerful ebike at the same time which really just comes down to the Bosch mid Drive Motors the one we tested went up to 28 mph but both are part of the performance line from Bosch so we’d expect a similar experience second we like the bike’s handling a lot it was

Nimble but also really stable which was another unexpected combination third there really is just a difference you can feel in terms of build quality and the geometry with this being a track bike but then the S has a standard Caro rack and a suspension Fork that I think

Are really solid trade-offs for the fact that it doesn’t pair with the Bosch app that the 8S uses as a dashboard we recommend the elant plus 7 for anyone who plans to spend a lot of time on their ebike there’s a really dialed in feel here that you won’t find too many

Other places even on this list if you’re looking to commute to work or school or you like long weekend rides we think you’ll be really happy with this option from a personal standpoint my favorite ebike is usually the one I’m testing at the moment but the aant really stuck

With me TX experence erence and quality were just really obvious with this Bike my pick for this list is the veletri T1 St it’s a cool bike from an upand cominging brand that stepped outside of the box for what we normally see in this style and at this price point so let’s walk through the T1 St it

Ships as a Class 1 ebike but can be unlocked to a class 3 it comes with a 350 W torque sensing motor with 45 newm of torque and Peaks at 600 W we were able to get between 24.9 and 45.8 mi in our range test from the 36v 3

52.8 wat battery it completed our Hill test in 2 minutes and 13 seconds on max assist it had an average stopping distance of 22 FT 1 in in our brake test and the bike fits Riders from 5 ft up to 6 ft tall also has a payload capacity of

330 lb and it’s priced at $4.99 I liked the T1 St for a few reasons mainly because it incorporates technology that you usually pay a lot more for it has a really cool interface on the top tube it uses your phone for a display and it includes step protection

With apple find my but on top of that this bike had awesome handling it’s small and lightweight so it was really easy to zip around on and finally I liked that it looked and felt a lot like a regular non-electric bike I think most people wouldn’t be able to pick up on

The fact that this is an ebike just because it’s quiet and looks really clean I think the T1 St is great for anyone who wants a unique and lightweight bike it also is definitely more on the affordable end of the spectrum so if you don’t want to break

The bank you get a lot of bike for the price we’ve tested quite a few of vetrix ebikes with more on the way and I think the T1 St is a good example of their approach this bike is fun it looks good it functions well and it stands out from

The crowd with some unusual features This is the globe Hall St it’s maybe our team’s favorite new E Bike of 20123 so it had to get brought up when talking about the best ones you can find today it flat out has awesome specs and dominated our tests here’s a quick rundown it’s a class 3 ebike with

Optional throttle for Class 2 it has a 700 watt Hub motor with a torque sensor and our tested range was 38 to 54 miles with the 7 172w battery it had a speedy max assist Hill Climb test time of 1 minute flat brake test stopping distance of 15′ 9 in

And it fits Riders between 4′ 5 and 6’4 in with a weight capacity of 419 lb finally it has a list price of $2,800 so here’s the Rapid Fire Reasons the globe Hall St is so awesome this bike is a top five in in our brake test

A top five in our hail test and a top 10 in range testing for Batteries around this size the unique frame is crazy adaptable it’s the only bike that can actually fit both me and my husband and we have a 1ft height difference between

The two of us it may look small but it’s built like a tank it has a massive 419 lbs payload capacity and lots of ways to accessorize it which means there isn’t much this ebike can’t do the motor was awesome too and we want to see more like

It this is a great all-around bike from a well-known brand so it’s worth checking Out thank you for sticking around until the end of this video if any of these ebikes CAU your eye please check out the links in the video description for more information you can read more about our testing back at electricbike report.com and if you decide to make a purchase
