Funny you posted this. I just drove by a small car show yesterday that had a VW Beetle pickup truck. I was so thrown off by it and thought I was living under a rock, but came to find out it was a kit.
they used to make a rabbit pickup in the 80s wish it was still around

They are pretty common down in Australia

The new Amarok is based, or should I say a rebadged version, on the new Ford Ranger. Never knew they were sold in Mexico.

Have you been living under a rock?
Olhapravocever
they very common in South America
they are fairly good and powerful but if you get a jinxed one, you will have to spend a lot to fix
The v6 is a diesel engine with 260cv, not bad

I use to have one and I miss it. Tried to grab one again but they are hard to find used. I live in Sweden and all combustion engine cars has a tax on them for the first 3 years (to motivate people to buy fossil free), so the second hand market is ridiculous. They stopped manufacturing them ‘20 but they just came out with a new model that’s based on the Ford Ranger. Unfortunately it has no hybrid or alternative engine at the moment, but maybe it will in future models.

They don’t sell them in the US because of the chicken tax.

It is a mexican VW Amarok, I can tell by the plate
Those are pretty cool pick-ups, but I think these are not sold at the US because of the chicken tax

I believe it shares most of its underpinnings with the Ford Ranger.
Very common in south America!
Never drove one, but they seem pretty fast
Volkswagen is the largest car manufacturer in the world by revenue and second largest by volume. Of course they make a pickup truck… [They have since the 50s.](https://barnfinds.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/vw-pickup-front-e1661488413739.jpg)
