2026 BYD Seal 6 DM-i Touring – Fantastic Plug-in Hybrid Estate!

2026 BYD Seal 6 DM-i Touring Review – specs, UK price, range and rivals. The new BYD plug-in hybrid wagon vs the Volkswagen Passat and Skoda Superb.

The rotating touchscreen is the detail that impresses most, a genuinely clever 90 degree party trick most $35,000 estate cars simply do not offer.

In this video, we take a closer look at the 2026 BYD Seal 6 DM-i Touring’s exterior design, its Super DM-i plug-in hybrid system, the rotating DiLink touchscreen, cabin practicality and UK pricing, including how it compares with the Volkswagen Passat Estate eHybrid. BYD’s Seal 6 Touring pairs a 1.5 litre engine with an electric motor for around 212 hp combined, up to 100 km of electric-only range and 1,350 km of total combined range at 1.7 L/100 km WLTP. Inside, a fully rotating touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a boot that grows from 500 to 1,535 litres round out a genuinely practical cabin. Independent road tests do flag light, slightly vague steering and a firmer ride next to a Passat, but on price the Seal 6 Touring undercuts one by thousands of pounds while offering considerably more total range.

If you are cross shopping plug-in hybrid estates, family wagons, or looking for a genuine alternative to a Volkswagen Passat or Skoda Superb, this is one you do not want to miss.
