A young boy is recovering after being struck by a car while he was riding an e-bike in Long Beach Thursday night.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Willow Street and Chestnut Avenue shortly after 8 p.m.
The Long Beach Fire Department was also on scene, treating the young boy for non-life-threatening injuries. The boy was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Long Beach police said the driver was cooperating and remained at the scene. Impaired driving is not believed to be a factor in the incident, police said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
