If you haven’t heard, there is no combustion-powered Audi S6 for the latest generation, as that nameplate is being reserved for the battery-electric variant that adds the e-tron suffix. However, there does not have to be one, because certain tuners, like ABT Sportsline, have you covered.

You see, this company recently took to the World Wide Web to present a package for the plug-in hybrid version of the Audi A6, and with the bundle up and running, this model is now the closest thing to a combustion-powered Audi S6. How much power does it have? That would be 428 ps (422 hp/315 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.

That is a healthy boost of 61 ps (60 hp/45 kW) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of torque over the standard model, which offers 367 ps (362 hp/270 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque from its standard plug-in hybrid setup. The assembly combines an electric motor, fed by a 14.1 kWh battery pack, with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. The model has an electric range of 111 km (70 miles) on the rather optimistic WLTP cycle.

The numbers released by ABT Sportsline reveal that this is the punchiest version of the C9 Audi A6, and while they might not be on par with the old Audi S6, whose twin-turbo 2.9L V6 offered 450 ps (444 hp/331 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, they are superior to those of the model Audi sells in our market. This one has a 3.0L V6 with forced induction that offers 362 hp (367 ps/270 kW).

In addition to the healthy power boost, ABT Sportsline also offers additional goodies for the Audi A6, including a set of lowering springs that bring the car’s entire body closer to the asphalt. Moreover, there is also a body kit available on the tuner’s shelves, which is on the very subtle side of things, though that is not exactly a surprise given that this is ABT that we are talking about, and it never ventures into the brash realm.

The visual bundle comprises stuff such as the glossy black front splitter, a rear spoiler, a trim strut, and a few other bits and bobs. These can be paired with the 21-inch ABT EVO wheels, as well as black quad tailpipes, and door sill lights, and special floor mats that further contribute to the car’s enhanced nature.

The complete tuning package, which includes the visual extras, the special wheels, and the power boost, will set you back €15,500 ($18,150) on the other side of the pond, including tax. The ABT Power is available separately, too, from €2,990.01 ($3,500), and so are the wheels, priced at €5,480 ($6,415), the tuner’s official website reveals.
