Blacksheep Power, a UK-based electric motorcycle manufacturer headquartered in Royston, Hertfordshire, has developed the Blacksheep ONE, a strictly limited production run of just 50 hand-built electric motorcycles, each one co-designed with its future owner.

The project is as much a statement of philosophy as it is a product launch. Where most manufacturers build a bike and find buyers for it, Blacksheep Power flips the model: the rider is involved in the design process from the start, shaping materials, finishes, colours, ergonomics, and geometry alongside the engineering team. The result, the company says, is not just a motorcycle, it is an identity.

At the heart of the Blacksheep ONE is proprietary technology developed entirely in-house. The motor is the BilletFlux, a custom-designed and developed axial flux unit producing 35 kW (47 hp) and a remarkable 700 Nm of wheel torque. Top speed is rated at 130 km/h (80 mph), with a maximum range of 160 km (100 miles) on a 6.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery uses 21700-format cells housed in a stainless steel and aluminium casing, and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around two hours via an on-board 2 kW charger that connects directly to standard 110–240 V AC mains, no proprietary charging infrastructure required.

The chassis engineering is equally distinctive. Blacksheep Power has developed its own triple-clamp front end with integrated rear-brake hydraulics, paired with Öhlins upside-down forks offering 120 mm of travel. At the rear, a cast Blacksheep Power swingarm works with an Öhlins shock absorber with full compression and rebound adjustment. Braking duties are handled by Brembo at both ends (a 320 mm radial-mount setup up front and a 240 mm disc at the rear) with pressure-sensitive regenerative braking integrated into the system. The wheels feature CNC-milled billet hubs paired with Takasago Excel rims, wrapped in 120/60-17 and 150/60-17 tyres respectively.

The bike weighs 180 kg, sits at a seat height of 810 mm, and has a wheelbase of 1,400 mm. Two rider modes are offered – Normal, which includes reverse and traction control, and Sport.

Every detail has been approached with precision manufacturing in mind. The name itself reflects this: billet-machined components are central to the construction, and the engineering philosophy is summed up in the company’s own words: form follows function, and every part exists for a reason.

Customisation options span frame colour, battery cover artwork (including commissioned collaborations with artists), and leather seat specifications. No two machines will be identical.

The process of owning a Blacksheep ONE follows four stages. The first step is reserving a build slot for £1,000 + VAT. Each slot corresponds to a numbered production position from 01 to 50, and comes with a numbered Blacksheep ONE T-shirt and exclusive first-supporter items. Once a slot is secured, the co-design phase begins: a direct collaboration with the Blacksheep Power team to finalise specifications, visuals, and pricing. A further £10,000 + VAT payment then locks in production. After precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing, the remaining balance is confirmed before delivery.

Pricing starts from £29,900 + VAT.

When all 50 slots are filled, this edition closes permanently. Blacksheep Power is inviting those interested to register at blacksheeppower.com.
