New York-based Infinite Machine has announced the nationwide availability of Olto, its award-winning bike-lane electric vehicle. Priced from $3,495 and available now at infinitemachine.com, Olto has already caught serious attention: TIME named it one of the Best Inventions of 2025, and Fast Company included Infinite Machine in its Most Innovative Companies list for 2026.
Olto is built specifically for city riding. The frame is machined from aircraft-grade anodized aluminum and features dual suspension and a silent rear hub motor. It seats two comfortably, with hidden footpegs and underseat handles for the passenger. Range comes in at up to 40 miles per charge, top speed is 28 mph in the bike lane, and the battery is hot-swappable, slide it out, slide a fresh one in, keep moving. Integrated high and low-beam headlamps plus turn signals round out the practical side.
Modularity is a core part of the design. A cargo basket, rear cargo rack, child carrier, and removable centre storage panels can all be attached and swapped as needed. The Infinite Machine app handles locking and unlocking automatically as you approach or walk away, and also shows battery percentage, ride history, and pushes over-the-air software updates.
CEO and cofounder Joseph Cohen summed it up simply: “Hop on, go for a ride, park wherever, charge anywhere.”
Security is built in: GPS tracking, an integrated Apple AirTag compartment, automatic locking when parked, and instant tamper alerts to your phone are all standard.
Designed in Brooklyn and distributed out of Long Island City, Queens, Olto comes in black or silver. To mark the launch, Infinite Machine put together a campaign featuring nearly 100 New Yorkers , NYC Ballet dancers, Manhattan steel workers, and hip-hop artists Jadakiss and Fabolous, shot by photographer Cian Moore with creative direction by Jake Gascoyne.
