Nissan today offered a first look at the all-new 2027
Nissan Rogue featuring the company’s innovative Hybrid e-POWER
technology.
The early preview took place during a global media event outlining Nissan’s
new customer‑centric long‑term vision, “Mobility Intelligence for Everyday
Life,” which combines AI‑Defined Vehicles, choice‑driven electrification, and
a disciplined global portfolio and industrial strategy. Read more about the
event here.
The all-new Rogue signals the next chapter for one of Nissan’s most
important global nameplates. The model’s debut at Nissan’s Vision event
underscores the company’s commitment to advancing hybrid options
tailored to the needs of key global markets.
As Nissan’s number one model in the industry’s largest segment within its
most important market, the all‑new Rogue reinforces the brand’s growth
strategy across the U.S. and Canada.
“Rogue has long been at the heart of Nissan’s success in the U.S. and
Canada, and the next generation represents a major step forward for this
incredibly important model,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president,
Chief Product & Planning Officer, Nissan Americas. “With hybrid e-POWER,
the all-new Rogue will bring the smooth, responsive feel of electric motor
driving to one of the most popular compact SUVs in North America, while
staying true to what customers value most – efficiency, confidence and
everyday usability.”
Since its introduction in 2000, the Rogue/X-Trail model family has sold
nearly 10 million units globally, including almost 4 million in the United
States, making it one of Nissan’s most successful vehicles worldwide.
The all-new 2027 Rogue Hybrid will pair the dependability, practicality and
versatility customers expect from the nameplate with the introduction of
hybrid e-POWER, Nissan’s unique system that provides the efficiency of a
strong hybrid with the spirited driving character provided by electric motors.
Hybrid e-POWER introduces a distinct approach to powertrains within the
compact SUV segment. A gasoline engine generates electricity solely to
power dual electric motors that drive the wheels, providing smooth,
responsive acceleration and confident performance across a wide range of
driving conditions. Nissan has sold almost 2 million vehicles with e-POWER
since 2016, making it a globally tried-and-tested technology. To see a video

Additional details on design, technology and specifications will be shared
closer to launch.
Xterra returns
At the same event, Nissan also confirmed the return of Xterra, revealing
first teaser visuals and reaffirming the model’s place in the brand’s future
lineup. The all-new rugged SUV will be produced in the United States,
further strengthening Nissan’s manufacturing footprint and capability
offering for North American customers. The launch is targeted for late 2028.
Nissan is exploring a family of five U.S.-built models on a new body-onframe platform including the all-new Xterra, with potential expansion to
pickups and multi-row SUVs across Nissan and INFINITI brands.
Giving customers more capability, versatility and choice across key
segments, the model family will also feature V6 or new V6 Hybrid
powertrains.
Nissan will announce additional information on both the all-new Rogue
Hybrid e-POWER and the next-generation Xterra as the company
approaches their respective market launches.
