Boomer small talk

I work retail and occasionally get to talk to people born in the 40s and 50s. I always feel compelled to ask them what their first car was. They get surprised someone’s asked, they haven’t even thought about the 1949 Dodge, 1953 Buick or VW Beetle they bought so long ago in decades! Sometimes they have a cool story of how they found it or how much they paid. I work by a computer and I’ll even look up the car they bought on images while they talk about it. It’s always a neat convo. I suggest talking to the boomers more. They’re not all annoying haha
