Officers from the Moorside neighbourhood policing team spotted two males ‘loitering’ on Talbot Drive.
One of the individuals was sitting on a Surron electric motorcycle, and both males fled on foot after spotting the officers.
Following a short pursuit on foot, the pair abandoned the bike several streets away.
The motorcycle was recovered and seized by the police.
Officers say the bike had been causing ongoing issues in the Moorside area for several months and will now be destroyed.
