Chinese researchers achieve zero thermal runaway sodium battery cells, survives 300°C test

If this is true, it would be pretty impressive. 211 Wh/kg at the cell level.

The claim is that they added an electrolyte that became solid at 150C which prevented thermal runaway at the cell level.
