Looking at a 1995 Chrysler LeBaron convertible for $2,750. 130k miles, automatic, 2 owners, clean title. Seller says it runs great and the top works properly. I test drove it today and ran smooth and the engine sounded solid…

I’m a total novice and first-time “classic car” buyer. My daughter and I just want something fun to cruise in this summer with the top down, music on, maybe hit a car show here and there.

My dad always called these the “poor man’s soft top” back in the 90s 😅

Dream car is a ‘67 Chevelle in this same color, but that’s way out of budget, so this feels like a “for now” option and we’re getting eager.

Am I getting a decent deal for what it is, or setting myself up for problems? What should I be looking out for on these?
