Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive on Thursday launched its second experience centre in Kolkata, expanding its retail footprint in one of India’s key emerging mobility markets.
The new outlet strengthens the company’s presence in eastern India and follows a series of recent milestones, including the launch of the X-47 Crossover, UV Crossfade carbon-fibre helmet, and the ‘Battery Flex’ (BaaS) platform.
Speaking to IBNS, Gajanan Umarekar, Senior Vice President – Business and Sales at Ultraviolette, said, “This is our second outlet in Kolkata after Lake Town. With this launch, we now have five operational outlets in eastern India.”
He added that the growing network reflects strong customer interest in the region and assured that the company is committed to building robust charging infrastructure for its users.
Ultraviolette already operates experience centres in Berhampore and Siliguri in West Bengal.
The newly launched UV Space Station, set up in partnership with dealer M/s KGN Automobiles EV, will offer customers a comprehensive brand experience, including product exploration, test rides, and access to accessories.

“The idea behind establishing our second centre is to provide customers with a first-hand experience of our products,” Umarekar said.
The experience centre will showcase Ultraviolette’s performance motorcycles, including the X-47 Crossover and the F77 series. These models feature a powertrain delivering 40.2 hp and 100 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0–60 kmph in just 2.8 seconds. Equipped with a 10.3 kWh battery, they offer an IDC-certified range of up to 323 km on a single charge.
Commenting on the expansion, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said Kolkata represents a strategic growth market for the company.
“The launch of our second UV Space Station in Kolkata marks an important milestone in strengthening our presence in eastern India. It reflects a growing, aspirational customer base that values performance, technology, and design in mobility,” he said.
He added that the expansion will help deepen customer engagement while making Ultraviolette’s products more accessible, as the company continues to scale its national network.
Built on the company’s engineering-led platform, the X-47 Crossover is positioned as the first electric motorcycle in its segment to offer radar as a standard feature.
It comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT display, three ride modes, long-travel suspension, and radial all-terrain tyres designed for improved stability and control across varied conditions.
The motorcycle also integrates advanced safety features through Ultraviolette’s UV Radar Intelligence system, powered by a 77 GHz rear radar and the UV HyperSense Advanced Rider Assistance System. These enable functions such as blind-spot detection, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and rear collision warnings.
Additionally, the X-47 includes an in-house developed, high power-density air-cooled onboard charger and an integrated dashcam system.
Ultraviolette recently introduced its ‘Battery Flex’ (BaaS) model, aimed at lowering the upfront cost of ownership. Under this model, customers can purchase the X-47 starting at ₹1.49 lakh, while subscribing to the battery at a monthly fee starting from ₹2,499, allowing separate financing of the vehicle and battery.
