Electric off-road pioneer Stark Future is preparing to take another major step in international motorsport. The Spanish manufacturer has confirmed that it will enter the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship with a dedicated factory-supported programme built around the Stark VARG EX.

The newly formed Stark OxMoto EnduroGP Team will compete in both the E2 and E3 classes of the championship, bringing electric performance into one of the most demanding disciplines in off-road motorcycle racing.
A new challenge for electric off-road racing
For decades, the EnduroGP paddock has been dominated by internal combustion machinery. Known for its long race days, varied terrain, and demanding special tests, the championship is widely regarded as one of the toughest tests of rider endurance and machine reliability.

With its entry in the 2026 season, Stark Future aims to demonstrate that an electric platform can compete in this environment, not as a symbolic appearance, but as a fully competitive programme.
According to Sébastien Tortelli, who oversees the project as Racing Director at Stark Future, the move represents a logical progression for the brand’s racing ambitions.
“Entering EnduroGP is a natural next step for Stark. The Stark VARG has already shown it can compete head-to-head with the best combustion motorcycles in top-level off-road racing. EnduroGP now gives us the chance to take that challenge into one of the toughest championships in the world.”
The team itself will be operated by Oxmoto, under the leadership of team manager Cyril Raynaud, while Antoine Rigaudeau will act as team owner.
Experienced riders for the debut season
To launch the programme, the Stark OxMoto EnduroGP Team will field two riders with strong off-road backgrounds.
David Herbreteau (#103)
French rider David Herbreteau (#103) will compete in the E2 class. Born in Les Sables-d’Olonne in 1997, Herbreteau built his career in motocross before transitioning to enduro competition. After several seasons riding the Stark platform, 2026 will mark his first full campaign in the EnduroGP World Championship. “Motorcycling has been part of my life since I was very young. I’ve been riding for 24 years now, and this passion naturally led me into competition. I have been riding the Stark for three years, and this season officially marks my second year of racing with the bike. This year will also be my first season in the EnduroGP World Championship, which represents an important step in my career.”, says David
Spanish rider Marc Sans Soria (#2) will represent the team in the E3 class. Sans brings significant international experience, including podium finishes in the EnduroGP championship and strong results with Team Spain at the International Six Days of Enduro, where he contributed to multiple team podiums.

According to Sans, the first season will focus on development and learning.
“The first rounds will be important to gather as much data as possible about the bike and our setup. Once we understand where we stand, the goal is to keep improving. If we can fight close to the top five and maybe take a podium towards the end of the season, it would be a fantastic result.”
Building the electric racing platform
Founded in 2020, Stark Future quickly gained attention with the launch of the Stark VARG, an electric motocross machine designed to rival traditional combustion bikes in performance. The brand has since expanded its presence across multiple off-road disciplines including motocross, supercross, superenduro, and supermoto.

The EnduroGP programme will place the VARG EX, the enduro-specific version of the platform, into a new competitive environment where bikes must perform consistently over long race days that combine technical tests, transfers, and changing terrain conditions.

For Stark Future, the project is also part of a broader strategy: demonstrating that electric motorcycles can compete at the highest level of global off-road racing.
