New Volkswagen ID. UNYX 08 – 730km Full-Size Electric SUV | Full Tour
The New Volkswagen ID.UNYX 08 is Volkswagen’s first full-size all-electric SUV developed under a deep collaboration with local partner XPeng in China.
The ID.UNYX 08 is expected to officially launch in the first half of the year.
The ID.UNYX 08 measures 5000 mm in length, 1954 mm in width, and 1672 mm in height, with a 3030 mm wheelbase, placing it firmly in the full-size electric SUV segment.
At the rear, the vehicle features 3D controllable LED tail lights along with a unique wolf-head high-mounted brake light.
Inside, the cabin emphasizes luxury and comfort.
The interior is equipped with dual 14.96-inch displays and a massive 1.74㎡ smart dimming panoramic roof. Around 95% of the cabin is covered in soft-touch materials, while the seats use premium Nappa leather finished through 40 processing steps. The suede headliner further enhances the premium atmosphere.
The front passenger seat offers 14-way electric adjustment, a leg rest, and a 10-point pneumatic massage system, creating a special “Queen Passenger Seat” experience.
Rear passengers also benefit from 10° reclining seats, heating, fold-out tables, and a central armrest with cupholders, ensuring comfort even with a full cabin.
Powertrain options include both single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations.
The single-motor version produces 230 kW, while the dual-motor AWD model combines 140 kW front + 230 kW rear motors for stronger performance and improved driving dynamics.
The battery is supplied by CATL, with two LFP battery capacities available: 82.36 kWh and 95.04 kWh.
Depending on the version, the estimated driving range reaches 630 km, 700 km, or up to 730 km.
One of the key highlights of the ID.UNYX 08 is its 800V high-voltage fast-charging architecture, significantly improving charging efficiency and helping reduce range anxiety—making it a technologically competitive model among joint-venture electric SUVs.
