Hop On These End-of-Season Sales On E-Bikes NowTrevor Raab

Electric bikes have ballooned in popularity, making cycling more accessible for everyone. The added assistance from the onboard electric motor significantly lowers the amount of effort needed to get to your destination, and that’s a game-changer, letting you climb higher, go further, and even go faster. There’s never a bad day to buy another bicycle, but inventory constantly gets replenished (especially seasonally), and there are plenty of sales and deals on great e-bikes during this time of year.
However, not all e-bikes are created equal. There are your standard commuter e-bikes (some of the most common), along with cargo, folding, and fat-tire variants—among many others. For the purposes of this article, we’re going to stick to the basic configurations that can get you up and running. With so many e-bikes to choose from, our favorite on this list is Aventon’s Adventure 2; however, the biggest discount we found is REI’s CTY e3.1. Every size is currently available, and you’ll save almost $3,000! Act fast, though, as it’s a discontinued model.
Gazelle Gazelle Ultimate T10+ Electric Bike
Gazelle Bikes is headquartered in Dieren, Netherlands, and we think that really says it all when it comes to building a super commuter bike. They’re the experts in that neck of the woods, and the brand’s T10 electric bicycle is no exception. Coming in at a sale price of $2,999 (down from $3,500), it ticks all of the boxes you’d expect from a premium commuter e-bike: name-brand drivetrain, Bosch mid-drive motor, and hydraulic disc brakes.
The T10 is equally well equipped with an integrated lock, battery, kickstand, and rear rack to improve your commuting experience. While the Bosch motor features four modes (eco, tour, sport, and turbo), the T10 offers a maximum range of 65 miles, which can be expanded with a second battery. While acceleration isn’t necessarily something you’d think about with a commuter bike, Gazelle’s T10 lives up to its name with 85 Nm of torque, propelling the bike up to a 28 mph top speed.

Aventon Adventure.2
If the added cost of tariffs on imported e-bikes is limiting your prospects, Upway provides an amazing workaround: the refurbished market. It’s a reseller that solves the quality and affordability problem by offering high-quality, top-of-the-line e-bike brands at up to 60% off retail. Each refurbished model is inspected by professional mechanics and comes with a 1-year warranty and a 14-day test-ride policy, eliminating buyer anxiety.
The Aventon Adventure.2, a model behind the Adventure.3, aka one of Bicycling’s top-rated fat-tire e-bikes, is currently on sale on Upway for $1199. Despite its meager price tag, it features a genuine Shimano Altus drivetrain (with hydraulic brakes), a 750-watt hub motor, an 80-mm suspension fork, and a torque-sensing drivetrain.
While the bike’s silhouette might look mountainbike adjacent, it still appears to target commuters. Despite its four-inch tires and 80mm suspension fork, it will handle cruisy single track with relative ease, but anything more than that will likely be too much of a workout.

AventonBrompton C Line Urban Folding Electric Bike
Few brands have mastered folding bicycles quite like Brompton has. Its latest C Line folder adds electrification to the brand’s existing bicycle, featuring a 250 Watt motor and a 300-watt-hour battery. Propulsion is described as “adequate,” capable of getting the C Line to a top speed of 15 mph while offering 44 miles of range.
Thankfully, the same folding magic lives on with Brompton’s C Line, and we managed to get ours down to its folded position in just 30 seconds—taking up only 3.6 cubic feet of space. As usual, this makes the Brompton an excellent last-mile transportation solution that can be carried on just about any bus or train.

Lectric eBikes XP4 750 Step-Thru Electric Bike
Lectric’s XP4 750 step-thru is one of the best foldable e-bikes with gears on our list. With hydraulic disc brakes, a 750 Watt motor, and an 840-watt-hour battery, it delivers plenty of power while offering 85 miles of range. All of that capability is quite a bargain for just under $1,300. The only downside is that XP4 is quite heavy, weighing 62 lbs without the battery installed.
Lectric is also running a Valentine’s Day special, offering over $400 in accessories for free. This includes Lectric’s LevelUp rack, Elite headlight, suspension seat post, bike lock, phone mount, and rear-view mirrors.

Co-Op Cycles Co-op Cycles CTY e3.1 Electric Bike
REI’s Co-Op bikes have rapidly become a fantastic, affordable way to get into cycling. You’ll likely notice that the bike’s silhouette is tailored for cargo storage with rear racks, and the speed to get you where you’re going—it has a Class-3 top speed of 28 mph and a 625 W motor.
It can provide a quoted 60-mile range and can be recharged in just four hours. If you ask us, it also looks pretty spiffy in its “Fjord” green colorway featured above.
